1、成绩单及其所相关的材料：
①普高学生：
成绩单在英国本科院校的申请中，也是学校判定申请者是否适合的一个非常关键性的指标，所以学校对于成绩单的提供的要求是非常高的。

推荐信可以不是自己的老师写，但是最好是自己学校的。如果实在一定要找不是自己学校的老师，也一定在信里面说明，你是在申请情况下成为他的学生的，对你的印象如何。
如果打电话核实的时候，发现老师的学校和你档案中就读过的的学校不是一所。而你的推荐信中又完全没有提到，那么会怀疑你有作假的行为。基本就会拒签了。
其实我个人觉得，这个信只是个辅助作用，为什么一定要费那么大劲找别的学校的老师写呢?你把自己学校的老师都得罪光了吗?

一般来说，推荐信都是推荐人根据被推荐人的情况写下来的文书。但是我们都理解，在申请季比较紧张的时候，老师和单位上司都太忙了，没有时间来根据每个被推荐人的性格特点来撰写文书，所以大部分的时间都是申请学生自己写一份推荐信，导师做更改和认可。这个时候推荐信就需要我们自己来准备了！
二、推荐信的内容
1、推荐人的背景信息。
推荐人要陈述自己是谁，在哪里就职，和被推荐人是什么关系。其中最重要的就是要写清楚推荐人和申请人的关系。如果*时接触的不是很多，可以侧重说明两人一起合作的深度。无论从哪种角度，都要传达出推荐人对于被推荐人很了解，而非一面之缘的信息。
2、对被推荐人的综合评价
表明推荐人对申请人个性特征的印象（学*精神、工作态度、与同学/同事相处的情形、组织领导能力、学术专长、研究能力、有无工作经验与否），并加注评语。推荐人可以先用一句或者一段话来描述申请人，然后再描述申请人的客观表现，比如*时总是会在课上举手问问题，能找到别人没注意到的细节，或者会对同班同学课上回答的问题进行积极的反馈和补充等等。等于先下定义，然后再列举例子来支撑前面的综合评价。
3、展示优秀品质和学术潜力
除了课堂上的表现，推荐人还可以通过和申请人的共事过程中的体验来侧面体现申请人的优秀品质，比如：交上来的论文总是结构清晰，格式准确，来体现做事仔细，对学术认真；或者除了规定的reading list之外，申请人还经常能在课上旁征博引别的学术资源，其实也就说明这个学生有学*主动性，而且学术广度比较大。注意这里不要写推荐人不可能知道的事情，比如经常“学*到很晚”或者“经常课下和同学发邮件交流学*”等等，否则整封推荐信就会显得失真了。
三、申请流程及所需材料
第一步，信息搜集
明确了自己大致可以学的方向就可以上网到各个大学的网站查询了。查询的方法，可以根据自己的意愿，只查询自己想去的城市或者地区的学校，在GOOGLE里面搜索地区名称就可以了；还可以根据专业名称查询，也是使用搜索引擎；另外有一种比较简单的方法，就是找一些大学列表，比如本网站既有好几个，还有战斗在法国网站上也有，全法学联的网站上有巴黎十三所大学的链接。
进入大学的网站，找到自己想读的专业后，要记下（用本子和笔）专业的名称、阶段、申请截至日期、申请的步骤、申请所需要的材料，邮寄地址或者访问地址（有的学校有的专业要亲自领表格）以及咨询电话。建议，可以用一个不太大的记事本，每所学校写一页，空出来得地方日后也会有用。
第二步，填写申请表
有些学校的网站上可以下载表格；有些学校需要寄信去索取，附上学校要求的材料，信封（写上自己的地址，贴足邮票），MOTIVATION不要写的太长，信中要写明想申请的专业，清楚明了就可以了。在记事本上相应的位子做记录，记下日期和特殊事项，备查。拿到表格可以先复印，既可以避免一次填错，又可以留做资料。认真真实的填写表格。
第三步，整理材料
一般申请表上会指明学校希望了解的材料，可以对照划勾，以免遗漏；如果材料不全，可以在截至日期前先寄出一部分，并说明缺的材料，原因。然后在日后补交，也会有一个最后期限的，需要留意。在记事本上做记载。一般学校只收复印件，但入学时可能需要出示原件核对。

一、推荐人的数量
由于大部分美国学校要求三封推荐信，所以建议申请者联系5个左右的推荐人，有两个推荐人作为备用，以备不时之需。
二、推荐人选择的原则
1、推荐人与申请者的关系是直接可信赖的。
所谓直接，是指推荐人与申请者有过较长时间的直接的接触，教过申请者相关课程，指导过申请者项目、研究、论文，是申请者实*期间的直接上司等都属于直接的关系。
这一原则主要是为保证推荐人对申请者的学术背景、个人潜质等拥有一定程度的了解，保证推荐人具备推荐资格，能够对申请者某方面的能力和素质进行评价，增加推荐信的可信度。
所谓可信赖，是指两者的关系可以保证推荐信的公正、客观，是指对于学校来说，推荐人的推荐值不值得信赖。
直接与可信赖必须同时满足，比如申请者的父母，虽然跟申请者的关系是直接的，对申请者也很了解，但是在校方看来，他们对申请者所做出的推荐可能会有所偏袒，也就是无法信赖的。
2、推荐人与申请者的关系与所申请专业相关。
推荐信的目的在于从第三者的角度对学生的专业背景、专业潜质等做出评价，是为校方筛选、录取学生服务的。所以，推荐人与申请者的关系应该与所申请专业相关。
比如，如果选择教过申请者相关课程的老师来写推荐信，那么，选择相对应的专业课的老师就比较好。如果选择指导老师作为推荐人，那么选择指导其进行过与所申专业相对应的专业领域的研究的老师就比较好。
当然，如果跨专业申请，确实找不到那么多所申专业领域的推荐人，也可以选择原专业领域的推荐人，推荐信则应着重体现你的能力和潜质。
3、在前两者都满足的基础上，推荐人的职位越高越好，影响力越大越好。因为这无疑会增加推荐信的含金量。
比如，如果推荐人是专业领域内权威的专家、在国际上有一定声望，甚至可能与申请学校的教授有着业务来往、私交，那这封推荐信在申请中能起到的作用就是普通的推荐信远不能比的了。
注意：只有在前两者都满足的基础上，第三条才适用，如果只是职位高，比如学校的校长，但是对申请者在校期间的表现并不十分了解，也不建议采用其作为推荐人。
因为推荐人对申请者的评价需要通过具体的事例和细节来展现，美国学校并不会只看推荐人的名誉、声望。唯一的例外情况是，申请者的资源能够强大到，无论你怎么写推荐信的内容，对方都能够签字，这种情况下，也可以考虑选择其做为推荐人。
三、推荐人分类
推荐人大致可以分为两类，即学术推荐人和工作推荐人。
学术推荐人主要包括授课老师、论文指导老师、负责项目(研究、实验等)的老师等。对于专业经历很丰富的申请者来说，建议选取后两者作为推荐人，主要对申请者的学术研究能力，研究潜质等作出评价。
对于专业经历不太丰富的申请者来说，也可以选择其本科阶段的授课老师作为其推荐人。建议选择核心专业课程的授课老师，跨专业的申请者，也可以选择核心基础课程的授课老师作为推荐人。
一般情况下，选择大学后两年的授课老师来写推荐信会更好一些，毕竟在前两年，申请者接触到的课程难度通常不会太高。
也有一部分申请者会选择自己有过接触的一些领域内的一些权威教授来帮自己写推荐信，比如曾经有申请者通过参加某教授的讲座，争取到与教授面对面交流的机会，并在会后主动与教授保持密切联系，向教授请教专业领域内的一些问题，并成功争取到其作为自己的推荐人。
总之，推荐人的选择，也有很大的灵活性，只要有利于向学校展示自身的专业能力和水*，对申请有利，都可以尝试。
工作推荐人主要指申请者实*、工作期间的领导、同事等熟悉申请者实*、工作期间的表现的人。
如果申请者曾经有过在相关行业的大型公司的实践经历，申请项目也比较看重实践运用、就业导向比较强的话，三封推荐信中提交一封工作推荐信对于申请也是很有帮助的。
一般情况下，对于大部分在读申请者来说，可以选择三封学术推荐信，有的学校官方网址也会明确写明只接受学术推荐信。部分就业为导向的专业或者申请者有特别出彩的实践经历的除外。
对于在职申请者，提交工作推荐信是必要的，因为毕竟你离开学校已经有一段时间了，学校更希望了解你最*的表现。
但是工作推荐信的数量不宜太多，除非申请者有很多很多年的工作经验，可以选择两封工作推荐信以外，都建议申请者选择两封学术推荐信加一封工作推荐信或者三封学术推荐信的组合。尤其是对于PhD申请者，除非你所作的工作是在企业的研发部门从事研究性的工作，否则不宜提交超过一封的工作推荐信。
四、特别提示
1、学术推荐人一般至少要有教授、副教授或者博士学位。一般情况下，不建议选择讲师作为推荐人，特殊情况除外。
2、推荐人的选择应保持一定程度的多元化，争取达到一个从多角度向校方展示申请者的目的。比如，可以选择授课老师、论文指导老师、项目研究负责老师、院系领导、实*(工作)期间的上司等进行合理搭配。
搭配的意义在于：一方面避免推荐信内容无意义的.重复，比如如果两封推荐信都是对你的研究能力做评价，这就不可避免地会造成内容的雷同。
另一方面，不同的推荐人能够从不同的角度针对申请者的不同方面的能力和素质进行评价，进行合理地推荐信搭配能够使学校更全面地了解申请者，也能够更好地把申请者的优点和特点都展现出来，这也符合美国学校对diversity的要求。
3、一般意义上来说，外国教授的推荐信要比本土教授的推荐信含金量高，但是，同时也要考虑外国教授一般情况下都会实话实说，并且不会让申请者看到推荐信内容等因素。
在选择外国人作为推荐人时，一方面要确认他与自己确实有一定程度的了解，并能够对自己某方面的能力和素质做出评价，另一方面，可以从其他渠道了解一下，往年这个推荐人对待推荐信的态度是怎样的，内容是否会乱写，网推是否及时等。
4、理想的推荐人通常具备以下特点：与申请者有较长时间的相识;熟悉申请者的学术背景、潜质;了解申请者个性特征;在专业的特定领域对申请者有过指导和影响;了解申请者留学的动机、学术兴趣、职业规划、学术目标等;在专业领域拥有一定地位和声望。
五、询问推荐人对自己的评价/帮助推荐人了解自己
在确定推荐人时，可以询问一下对方对自己的评价，印象比较深刻的事情等，可以作为后期写作的参考。
如果推荐人是业内比较知名的教授，也可以请对方给一些选校的建议，因为他们推荐的学校里往往都会有他们认识的教授。在美国学校录取审核的过程中，熟人推荐往往具有决定性的影响力。

很多本科留学申请项目要求两位不同任课老师(一般推荐为高二或高三的主科任课老师)，还有一位升学指导老师，在国内高中则可以找班主任、学生处老师等。
研究生和博士留学申请则一般要求2~3封推荐信，如果你在以往的学*生涯中有一些实*或者工作经验，那么这两到三封推荐信当中，可以有一封是来自你的雇主的。
也有一部分学校出于对了解学生个人生活方面的考虑，会要求你提供私人的推荐信，例如说你的好朋友写的。
找了解自己的推荐人
推荐信是通过提供教授或雇主对申请者的评价，来让招生办更全面地了解申请者。所以说推荐人应当都是对申请者有一定深入了解的，比如上过教授的课，做过研究或一起共事过。
切记不要只追求推荐人的名声名望，如果给你写推荐信的人与你几乎没有交集或者了解的很少，那么推荐信也是空洞泛谈，没有它的价值了。
提前2-3个月联系推荐人
另外，要留给推荐人足够的时间来思考并完成推荐信。有些教授到了申请季会有很多推荐信要写，对他们来说所要花费的时间和精力是很大的。
有些教授教学与科研很忙，答复是否愿意帮你写推荐信就需要几周，所以要在截止日期2-3个月前就联系推荐人。
在问询推荐人能否写推荐信的邮件或电话中，要礼貌地请求，并提供详细的.说明，包括申请截止日期和申请人希望在什么时间完成申请。像有些大学对于留学申请的材料是随到随审的，这种情况就越早提交越好。
有些教授还会要求提交简历和个人陈述，以便他们更好地了解申请人。
如果联系后一周内得不到回应，不要害怕再发一封邮件follow up。如果推荐人答应帮忙，可以约见面聊一下写作的角度和素材。
这里一定要注意找推荐人要找真心愿意帮助你的人，如果很勉强或者不情愿，后续可能由于各种原因搁置，就会造成很多麻烦了。
推荐信一般申请人提交
国内以老师自己提交推荐信的情况比较少，主要因为英语水*不够，并且国内大学里面也没有教授亲自写推荐信的文化。这种情况下申请人也应该和推荐人交流，根据推荐人对你的评价和考量角度，选择好写作素材再为其代笔。有时候可以让推荐人写一封中文推荐信再为其翻译。
最多就是收拾几件衣服，带一些常备的药物，或者是你喜欢的小物件，而其他的东西，则不用带，尤其是家电。

如何选择推荐人
RL即Reference Letter或Recommendation Letter的缩写，也就是推荐信。“推荐者以第三人称，客观的的角度来介绍所了解的申请人的性格特点、科研能力、学术水*、组织能力和领导能力等。”由此可见，推荐信是要由第三方来出具的，比如老师，公司的经理等，来介绍申请者的能力特点的一种文书。
加拿大研究生申请的过程中，很多大学都明确提出：至少需要两封学术方面的推荐信，也就是来自大学授课老师，导师等的推荐信才行。所以一般情况下，对于申请研究生的学生我们一般建议准备两封大学的推荐信，一封实*单位（工作单位）的推荐信，而申请本科生的相对比较简单，建议准备两封学校老师的推荐信。
1、推荐人职称，声望越高就越好吗？
并不是这样的，一定要辩证地来看。首先：推荐人一定要和被推荐人因为某些是由有过接触。比如院长声望很高，但是从来没有教过课，而且自己也并不是学生会**等可以与院长有过接触的职位，这种情况下是不能找院长做推荐人的。其次，往往大学里声望高的“大拿”们，业务繁忙，无暇他顾。即使答应了做你的推荐人，回头联系不上了或者顾不上学校发来的确认邮件，那我们可要“捉急”了。所以和“大拿”们打招呼时一定要考虑好，保证后期可以积极配合我们的工作。最后，假如一个讲师教过你两至三门课，选择这个讲师，也是不错的选择，比一个只教过个数月的教授可能会更熟悉，更了解申请者。
2、只要有实*，是不是选择实*单位的推荐人就比较好？
不是的。首先，实*内容要与所申请专业相关，并且最好实*有一定的含金量。另外就是时间长度上，最好不低于两个月的实*时间，才能保证推荐人和申请者有过充分的接触，从而有资格做推荐人。
3、国外教授是不是做推荐人的最佳人选？
不是的，因为国外教授往往特别严谨，写的推荐信和填写的推荐信表格中，太过于实事求是而且如果你学业成绩不咋地，有可能会提到你的缺点等。所以一般情况下是不建议找国外教授作推荐人的，尤其是只有过一面之缘的国外教授，教完课回国了，联系都找不到人，对申请没有太大帮助。
选择原则
1、对申请人有较深入了解
所谓的有较深入的了解，是指推荐人一定要跟申请人有学术上，或工作实*方面的较长时间的接触和联系。所以，推荐人一般是任课老师，实验室老师，比赛指导老师，或工作实*上司等等。假如一个人是某个公司的.老总，但是他跟你之前没有任何学术上或工作实*方面的接触和联系，那么他不是一个合适的推荐人选。
这是选择推荐人的第一原则。
2、职称问题
根据国外对推荐信的重视程度排序，推荐人首选考虑教授和副教授级别，只要在这两种级别的老师都实在找不到的情况下，才会考虑讲师。在合适的教授和副教授人选中，如果对方刚好在国际上或学术界具有很高的名气，或者曾经有海外学*或交流背景经历，也可以成为优先考虑人选。对于工作实*推荐信，推荐人职位高一点也会好一点。无论是教授还是工作实*上司，都要满足对你有较深入了解这个条件。
3、推荐人选的搭配
在推荐人的人选搭配方面不需拘泥于固定的模式。关键是你所选择的推荐人都尽量能够从不同的方面来表现你的能力。比如说，不宜同时选择三个任课老师当推荐人，因为这样的话全部推荐人都只能从课堂和学*方面来表现你，没有能够多方位地体现你的能力。

如果你还在学校读书，这里建议大家找的推荐人是你的专业课老师，或是你目标专业的教授；而对于有工作经验的人呢，可以找单位里的前辈或领导来写。
当然，推荐人的职位、名气越大，则推荐信的含金量越高。同学们不要认为教授不认识你就不会帮助你，当你拿着推荐信表格进入他们办公室提出相应要求的时候，一般大多数教授会非常乐意为你编撰推荐信。当然，这位教授要了解你噢。
如果你想拿到非常具有说服力的推荐信，要找相关领域的权威教授，并参与到他的相关科研实*项目。如果在期间表现非常优异，或许可以得到行业内很有信服力的推荐信。
二、推荐信内容
1、被推荐人的基本情况介绍。侧重于个人的毕业时间、学校、所获学位以及个人的专业经历。
2、推荐人对被推荐人的基本评价。侧重于被推荐人的专业基础、个性、特点、工作态度和在学术上的前途估计。
若是推荐研究生，推荐人还需进一步说明其深造学*的基础和当前所具备的研究能力。显然，恰如其分地评价被推荐人的基础、能力和前途，比言过其实的赞誉更令人信服，更具有实际意义。
3、推荐人可以着重介绍被推荐人曾经获得的奖励，发表过的论文，参加过的重要学术会议，以及曾在学生组织或学术团体中的任职等来支持自己的评价。
4、推荐人还必须清楚地表明被推荐人留学的身份是研究生还是访问学者，专业领域和研究方向是什么。
如果大学提供了现成的推荐表格，则必须按这类表格认真逐项填写。推荐表格中一般有学生综合评估的一项，即要求推荐人说明该生在所教的学生中应列为前5%，10%，或25%等。
这种评估是指教授的个人评价，可以稍高一点。另外，推荐表格上常有许多难以填写的项目，遇到该情形可填”I don’t know”，亦不致对该生的评价有何严重影响。
三、推荐信写作技巧
正确使用英文
不论教授们的学识多么渊博，都要通过为申请者撰写留学推荐信，以合理的表达方式向考官们展现申请者的才能。也就是说连接着国内教授和国外考官的唯一渠道就是文字。如果留学推荐信写的一塌糊涂，甚至出现用词不准确、语法错误等低级失误，给人家的第一印象就是你的英语水*不过硬，也就不会重视这封信了。
全面的、毫无保留的展示申请者的才能
考官们在申请者的推荐信中最想看的是申请者的专业背景程度。包括：对专业知识的掌握程度、是否有相关的工作经历、在申请专业上有突出成绩和建树。教授们请注意，在具体的叙述中不要直截了当的写出来，要表达出申请者为什么要选择该专业、申请者的工作到底是怎样的、申请者是怎样取得的成绩等，要注重过程的描写，这样才会让考官觉得真实自然。
全面提升自己的专业背景
教授们在撰写推荐信时，尤其是在对申请者的专业背景进行介绍时，必然会用到一些专业术语的概念和解释，如果术语的运用和解释出现错误难免贻笑大方。对方会认为你不专业，也就不会重视你的推荐信了。因此教授在把推荐信教给学生前，要反复阅读，查漏补缺；同时继续强化自身专业背景，尤其是对专业前沿的学*。
四、推荐信写作注意事项
1.填写或是使用推荐人的邮箱时，最好是用推荐人所在单位的邮箱。
2.推荐信上要有推荐人的信息，例如姓名，职位，职称，联系方式等，如两篇范文所示。
3.推荐信最好是保持一页内。
4.推荐信上得写明日期。
5.推荐信基本是以电子版的形式（PDF格式）并通过学校的网申系统来递交给学校。现在还要求邮寄推荐信的学校已经很少了。推荐信应用推荐人所在单位的信纸打印（推荐人是教授或是老师，那就用学校自己的信纸。如果推荐人是公司里的上司，那就用公司里的信纸），打印出来后由推荐人签字，签完后再扫描成PDF版（或是使用电子签名，在电子文档上直接签，最后的提交格式得是PDF的），然后通过学校的网申系统进行递交。如果没有信纸的话，可以在word版的推荐信里加上推荐人所属单位的专用文档页眉页脚，然后打印出来签字。

During the years in our lab, he was mainly responsible for the interior design and acoustic model test of XXX Theater. As a student majored in architecture, he lacked the skills of such physical experiment at first. But I found that as soon as he was assigned this task, he began to study assiduously for relevant knowledge and read many references. Thus he mastered the skill of the experiment in a short time and can even install and debug the whole set of equipment himself. These equipment included some sophisticated acoustic instruments and data processing programs．
In the spring of 1998, his instructor, also his experiment director, had to go to Japan for academic event. In the next half year, he finished the whole experiment independently, including
the reverberation time measurement and the pulse response measurement. The result was soon used to direct the interior design of the theater. Also should be mentioned is that from the beginning of the experiment, he took part in it enthusiastically and positively. He helped the layout of the model and made more than 400 exquisite model chairs by hand. All these clearly demonstrate that he has the ability of solving problems effectively, working independently and has organized manner in approaching problems．
Mr. X is a student eager to learn. In order to acquire more knowledge, he began to study Japanese, for many architecture books and journals are published in Japan. In one year, he passed the level 3 of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test with a high score. Recently I heard that he has also got excellent record in GRE test.
