到了六十年代初，母亲和我迁居至姐姐的工作地点——武汉。时逢困难时期。中秋节每人憑票只供应一个月饼。这是当地产的广式月饼，外表干干的，里面的馅或是粗豆沙，或是一点冰糖和芝麻。比家乡的苏式月饼差多了。价钱也贵，要五毛钱一个。但在当时，居民一个月只供应四两油、一斤肉，还要搭配百分之二十杂粮的`境况下，这月饼还是照顾的营养品呢！母亲和姐姐住在姐姐单位的职工宿舍内，我则寄宿在大学宿舍里。中秋晚上，我们照例回家，先敬月亮，后尝月饼。“每逢佳节倍思亲”，想起病逝在故乡的父亲,想起天各一方的哥哥和姐姐，想起在故乡老屋桂花树下欢度中秋的情景,心中不免感到怀念和失落。母亲舍不得吃自己份内的一个月饼，要省给我吃。这怎么行呢?母亲年纪大了，正需要营养品啊！我长大了，不再是贪吃的馋猫了。就这样，我硬是劝母亲吃了自已份内的月饼。味道虽不怎么样，但浓浓的母爱和赤子之情，温暖着我们的心田。
