在确定了写作主题后，写作活动不仅是在教材范文基础上的模仿写作，还可通过多种方法推进，如翻译语句、连句成段、选词填空等。写作完毕，教师可引导学生进行班级大讨论，推荐优秀*作，同学在欣赏学*优秀*作的同时进行小组讨论并质疑，提出改进意见，说出自己对话题的理解，从而培养学生积极的思维能力和语言运用能力（杨文娟，20xx）。
五、主题写作活动课堂实践案例探析
（一） 教材分析
目前笔者所在地区采用的是新编北师大版高中英语教材。这套教材一大优点在于其语言材料的组织都是围绕某个主题展开的。每单元有一个主题，下面每一课都有自己的话题，对于这些话题学生都较感兴趣，有话可说。这样的教材编排特点适合开展主题写作活动。每个单元的前三课或四课是单元话题下的基本词汇、短语、句型和语法项目的学*，Communication Workshop是对单元知识的扩展和综合运用，通常有基于单元话题的写作指导及任务。学生获得的单元基础语言知识以及他们运用语言知识的准确和熟练程度，完全可以通过话题写作活动来检验和强化，而且主题写作活动可以体现语言学*的价值和意义。
（二） 主题写作教学实例
下面结合新编北师大版高中英语教材第7模块，第21单元的主题写作教学案例进行探析。
本单元的话题是人类生物学，通过单元学*，学生应能够流利地运用单元目标词汇和基本句型来讨论有关人类科学的相关话题。食物、健康和医学是人类生存和发展中永恒的话题。学生对人类科学有较为浓厚的兴趣，所以此单元话题下的写作围绕人类发展展开，贴*学生的生活，易于激发学生的写作兴趣。学生对单元主题词汇和基础语句已经有了一定的掌握和积累，能够用单元基础语言材料组织语句，表达自己的想法。教师在指导学生进行主题写作时，完全可以依托单元话题语料。
克隆人是在人类生物学发展到今天无法回避的话题，但具有极大争议性，这种本身有争议的话题正适合本单元Communication Workshop的写作要求Learn to write a discursive essay，此文体要求学生第一段介绍话题，第二三段分述反面观点及正面观点，最后一段给出个人观点。但由于克隆人在现实世界中还没有出现，同时又远离学生生活，因此为了给学生带来更直观的感受，教师最好课前布置所有同学回家观看电影《逃离克隆岛》，这部电影探讨了科隆人及其引发的道德问题。
课堂上教师首先利用大量的与主题相关的图片、电影片段等创设谈论克隆人的氛围，让学生用英语表明自己对克隆人这一科学话题的态度。这一活动激活了学生写作所需的话题词汇，可以作为写前的热身。从交际功能的角度讲，这样的听、说形式的语言活动，不但不会冲击主题写作活动，反而与主题写作教学是相互统一、相互促进的。
在完成上述活动后，教师引导学生通过小组合作写一段话介绍克隆人话题并过渡到Should Human Cloning be allowed?这一主题上。这一活动调动了学生的写作积极性和主动参与意识，在轻松活跃的氛围中强化了其对概括技巧的理解和运用，学生的语言储备和发散思维得到充分激活，他们更加愉悦和主动地参与主题讨论，为下一步的写作活动做好前期准备。
在完成上述活动的基础上，通过课本P99的Writing Help引导学生通过小组协作完成a discursive essay的后三段提纲，要求第二三段分别写出中心句及至少两个论据。基于小组活动的写作练*实际上帮助学生搜集有说服力的论据并克服对写作的畏难情绪，让他们有信心完成写作。这种形式的写作训练强化了学生的语言运用技能，帮助学生初步完成单元写作要求，培养学生的写作思维和写作能力。
教师可以要求学生在写完提纲后，同伴间相互交换检查，检查内容包括拼写、用词是否准确，句式是否准确，语法是否准确，语言表达是否流畅、丰富等。互评可以鼓励学生间健康向上的竞争，激发竞争意识，促使每个学生尽力提供最好的作品，并且纠错之一的过程有时语言知识的再现和再复*过程，能够使学生在交流中得到更多的帮助，收获不同的语言思维和语言表达方式，补充和丰富自己的语言学*。
在提纲写作的基础上，引导学生利用Writing Help中的格式要求(正式与中立的风格)，以及Communication Workshop中的连接词（although, even though, however, therefore, while）独立完成写作任务。此写作活动充分强化了有关连接词的理解即运用，提高了学生的写作能力。
学生最终完成*作后，将学生的作文张贴在教师里，让学生互相批阅。学生互相批阅能激发他们主动寻找差距的意识，也是对单元目标语言再理解、再巩固的过程。学生从另外的角度反思自己*作中的语言运用，强化语用意识和语言运用能力。教师在学生批阅完后，可再作进一步检查。这属于指导性主题写作。通过教师不同程度的引导和帮助，学生将自己要表达的思想通过一定的逻辑组织后用文字表达出来。
这种主题写作练*可以是独立完成，也可以是小组合作，方式可以灵活多样。指导性主题写作是介于模仿性写作和自由写作之间的过渡性写作，学生在进行大量的模仿性写作练*和指导性写作练*后，才能掌握一定的写作技巧，从而进行自由写作。指导性主题写作可以帮助学生从原始的模仿性单元语料学*过渡到具有创造性的基础语言运用，提升综合语言运用能力。
六、结束语
随着课程标准对学生写作技巧要求的提高，写作教学的地位越来越重要，每一位教师都在摸索写作教学的可行方法。有些教师认为，写作就是让学生坚持不懈地写；有些教师认为，写作就是要套用各种范例；还有些教师认为，学生必须多背才能写好作文。这些方法都有一定的可行性和效果。提高学生的写作能力必须建立在一定的基础上，如学生的写作兴趣、写作愿望、成就感等。要想满足学生的这些心理需求，教师就必须从挖掘课程资源入手，设计主题写作活动，让学生在轻松活跃的写作氛围中主动运用单元目标语言，同时教师要善于发现学生*作中的闪光点和不足之处，让学生在展现自我的过程中提高英语写作能力。
