Today on 15th August 20xx India is celebrating its 67th Independence Day, and we Indians are proud to say we have owned our freedom 67 years old back. As we gather here today I take the opportunity to congratulate every student and teacher of this School/college a Happy Independence Day! I also take the opportunity of welcoming you our chief guest for today!
We have assembled here to celebrate our 67th Independence Day. As a citizen of India, I am so proud to talk to you about my mother India. On the night of August 14, 1947, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru rose to make a maiden speech in New Delhi, “When the world sleeps, India will wake to life and freedom.” Yes, India became free from the bondage of British rule. Now, India is the largest democratic country in the world. The country’s strength is to find, “Unity in diversity”. But, there are stray incidents that test her secularism but the people of India are ready to sacrifice anything for the cause of unity. Today we remember the great leaders who gave their lives for the nation’s freedom and prosperity. Dr. B.R.Ambedkar gave the longest written constitution to us. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru worked for an industrialized India. Gandhi Ji taught us Ahimsa and Non-violence. Subash Chandra Bose inducted courage in us. Swami Vivekanand gave us spiritual power. Yes, with these contributions; India will be the super power in the coming years. Our former President Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam called the children of India to dream to build a strong Nation with aim and perseverance. Indeed! This is not a word of a single man. Most people would like to be popular with others, but not everyone can achieve this goal. What is the secret to popularity? In fact, it is very simple. The first step is to improve our appearance. We should always make sure that we stay in good shape and dress well. When we are healthy and well-groomed, we will not only look better but also feel better. In addition, we should smile and appear friendly. After all, our facial expression is an important part of our appearance. If we can do this, people will be attracted to our good looks and impressed by our confidence.
Another important step is developing more consideration for others. We should always put others first and place their interests before our own. 高中英语学科的高手历来都具备以下四大特征：
一、词汇量比一般学生大，语言知识（*惯用法）积累够多。
二、语法基础过硬，并且在阅读能中敏锐地发现语法知识和语言知识。
三、听说能力很强。
四、善于捕捉机会用英语表达自己，有良好的英语思维*惯。
英语是一门工具学科，其重点不在于要从老师那里学到多少有关英语的知识，而在于在老师的指导和帮助下，练就一套扎实过硬的听说读写能力和探究英语语言规律的能力。作为刚跨进高中大门的一年级的新生，不宜仅停留和满足于初中英语学*中所形成的一些学*方式。过去的学*方式需要发展、改进和完善。英语学*是在一系列活动中完成的。这些活动应该组成一个完整的系统。在构建自己的英语学*系统中，一定要从听、说、读和写四大技能方面考虑。
能听懂他人比较纯正的英语，不仅是英语考试的需要，也是同学们未来步入社会，施展才能所必需的技能。我们*时的听力训练不仅仅是在训练你的英语听力，其实它也是一种语感培养，充足的英语听力训练同时也会极大的有助于提高学*者的口语能力。鉴于同学们不可能自己抽出多少时间去听英语歌曲、看英文电影或者直接用英语与人口头交流，那么，充分利用好本年级统一的听力训练时间就显得尤其重要。在听力训练中，既要学会抓关键词，也要学会听懂完整的句子；既要学会听懂不同语音语调对语意的影响，也要学会听懂有失去爆破和连读现象的句子。有难度的听力训练试题最好是能在过了一段时间后，等到忘记得差不多时，有再听一次的机会。所以在做听力训练试题时，我建议同学们一律用铅笔做记号，对完答案、看完录音文字材料后再把铅笔痕迹察掉。
英语的口头表达能力虽然不是我们考试的必备能力，但它却是同学们将来所需要的最重要的，最实用的英语技能。一口流利的英语是每一个英语学*者所梦想达到的理想水*。重视口语能力的训练不仅对未来有重要意义，对提高同学们高中阶段的英语水*也有非常重要的意义。说英语就是运用英语。语言能力和语言知识，同许多其它能力和知识一样，只有通过运用，并且经常运用才会真正地学到手，学到家。英语是一门语言。语言是听出来的，是经过不断模仿后才能说出来的。高中生的`英语口语能力要求，除了一般日常交际应答以外，还应该具备能连续表达含五个以上的句子。练就一口流畅的英语口语需要同学们抓住三个机会：一是课堂上老师为同学们提供的开口机会。二是课前演讲或者值日报告的机会。三是早读是个好机会。早读不应该总是停留在背单词、背课文这样的简单劳动中。单词不是用来背诵的。朗读单词的目的是要把单词的发音读准，并且能上口，读起来不勉强，不绕口。课文也不是用来背诵的。熟读课文是为了加深理解，巩固词汇知识和语法知识。既然口语能力那么重要，同学们不妨把背诵或者复述课文当成是口语表达或者演讲的准备呢？换句话说，把课文材料准备得再熟悉不过以后，来一次演讲展示，那且不美哉！真正的高英语水*绝不是看书看出来的，也不是做*题能做出来的，更不是听老师讲课能听出来的。早读期间通过不断模仿，放声吼叫，反复实践，你一定能快速提高自己的口语表达能力。
英语短文阅读的重要性不仅表现在高中英语考试中它的份量最大，而且还表现在英语短文是英语词汇知识和语法知识的载体方面。词汇量的扩大、词汇知识的丰富和句子表达的多样性光靠死记硬背是无法也不可能实现的。扩大词汇量、丰富自己的词汇知识和地道完美的表达自己只有依靠优良的阅读*惯。教材课文是精读材料，需要同学们读熟读透，直至能开口娓娓道来为止。课外阅读又叫泛读。高中英语新课标教材对高中前八个模块的学*有一个要求：课外阅读要完成30万单词的阅读量。也就是说：同学们需要每天有500到700个单词量的阅读。课外阅读也是运用语言的一种必不可少的形式。课外阅读不能停留在完成几道阅读理解试题或者完形填空试题。关键在尽量弄懂文章中的每一句话含义、长难句的结构。留意你还不很熟悉的词汇、词汇知识和语法知识。还要去认真体会不同的英语句子在表达上的精确性。千万不要在一些你还不认识的，拼写怪诞，发音困难的生僻词汇上浪费时间和精力。
阅读能力，除词汇量大小以外，还包含阅读速度、长难句理解、和把握主题大意的能力。要会快速阅读，同学们必须学会一些阅读的技能：如：skimming(跳读)、scanning(扫读)和digesting(研读)。Skimming和scanning就是根据阅读任务在文中查找相关信息。Digesting主要是用来理解长难句、把握主题大意和作者意图以及猜测词义的技术。不仅要研读长难句结构，也还需要研读逻辑关系。
流畅的短文表达能力在很大程度上依赖于你的词汇量、词汇知识和句法知识。它们的积累在于*时的听、说和读的活动。写作表达能力中，你的英语句式的结构思维能力或者英语*惯思维能力会对表达能力有重要影响。这就需要同学们*时养成一个良好*惯：那就是总是试图用英语来表达出你眼睛所看到的，耳朵能听到的，身体能感受到的和你思想能想到的。除此之外，一篇优秀的短文还少不了三个要素：即结构，内容和语言。
一片结构完美的英文短文，尤其是说明文和议论文，往往有一个比较完优美的，诱人深入阅读的开头语。主题句是可从开头语中自然而然过度而来。你所程述的观点，一般都要用事实做论证，或者用具体方式方法来支持。巧妙的结论句往往能使文章锦上添花。
内容需要真实，合乎情理，能让人信服。文中不要有与主题无关的内容。
语言要尽可能是地道的，去汉语化的英语。要经常套用自己在阅读中、在课堂上学来句子结构去表达自己。要敢于尝试用比较复杂的句子结构和比较高级的词汇来使文章进一步美化。
听所读写四大技能并不是各自孤立的，也是相互作用和相互制约的。如果*时，只注重某一项技能的学*和训练，那是不可能成为一位真正的英语强手的。
任何一门学科都需要踏实的学*作风。外语也不例外。学外语的实主要表现在以下几个方面：
一、落实词汇、词汇知识和特殊句式的积累。落实词汇和词汇知识并不是反复背记词汇表中的单词。落实词汇、词汇知识以及特殊句式的最好办法是先探究后运用。一个词汇在经过七到八次在不同时间和不同的语境中运用后，它就是你的了。词汇知识和特殊句式也是一样。写作是运用，造句是运用，阅读，倾听和与他人用英语交流也是运用。借助词典进行造句练*，在造句中运用新学的词汇不失为一种行之有效的简单易行的方式。
二、落实课外阅读。每天坚持花半小时阅读一两篇短文。一要真正读懂。二要留意词汇运用。
三、落实早自*精读。每次有硬指标，死任务。
四、落实课内课外书面作业。简单的完成老师布置的作业量并不是落实。书面作业质的落实必须是在真正懂了、记住了的基础上又快又好的独立的、闭卷式的完成书面作业。对发现的漏洞和缺陷要采取补救措施。
五、落实自主探究的学*能力培养。学*中缺乏自主探究，不善于利用团队合作和与老师沟通是很多高中生在学*中存在的一种普遍想象。老师不是保姆，老师不可能把英语的词汇知识和英语的四大能力烹制成一道道佳肴后，一口一口地喂进学生的口中。老师的探究代替不了学生的探究。学*能力的培养主要是探究能力的培养。学会了探究，你才会在知识的大海中畅游。学会了探究，你才会成为终身学*者。英语学科的探究应该表现在对某一特定词汇在文中、在句中的用法和含义的探究，对长难句结构和含义的探究，对相关知识关联的探究，对作者意图、主题大意的探究，当然也包含对学法的探究。要探究知识，要有工具（词典以及各种手册等）的帮助，更要有团队的合作，还要有老师的帮助。团队合作可以让你取他人之长补自己之短，还可以集思广益，产生思想火花。常与老师沟通是可以使你更容易发现前进的方向，少走弯路。
总而言之，英语学*需要同学们从听说读写四大技能方面养成良好的学**惯，坚持语言知识积累、精读、泛读、课内课外作业和自主探究五个方面的脚踏实地地勤奋努力，就能够比较轻松地完成高中英语的学*，为自己将来的远大理想奠定坚实的外语基础。

on my birthday two years ago, many special things happened on me. and i would
remember them forever.
that morning, i rode my bike to school happily as usual. on my way to the
classroom, i saw some of my classmates. but when they saw me, they rushed away. that made me confused. because they would talk to me or play jokes on me before. but it was strange today.
when i came into the classroom, i found the atmosphere was quite strange.
everybody looked at me and laughed loudly. suddenly they all said in good order,“happy birthday to you!” then they began to sing “happy birthday to you~~~~~~” that made me moved. i never told anyone about my birthday, how did they know? i believed they must have done a lot of things. at that moment, i found nothing to say but thanks instead!
after school, a thing coming as a surprise happened on me on my way back home. when i was riding suddenly a crowed of people rushed out to stopped my bike.i recogized them at once. they were my senior classmates. they all comlained to me,“why don't you tell us about your birthday? don't you fear that we will let you stand treat? this time you owe us.” then each of them gave a gift and a card with best wishes to me. i was dee*** moved again. i suggested having a dinner together. but they all refused because of the time. then they left me saying we would ask you to pay us another day!
when i got back home, i thought of everything happened today. suddenly i felt so happy because i had such great friends around me. i thanked them from the bottom of my heart. i would value the precious friendship forever!
i have so many feelings through that special day. the only rose without thorns in the world is friendship. a true friend is someone who reaches for your hand and touches your heart. truly great friends are hard to find, difficult to leave, and impossible to forget. one friend in a lifetime is much, two are many, three are hardly possible. stick to make friends, forlife without friends is like life on a desert island. to find one real friend in a lifetime is good fortune, to keep him is a blessing.

I am here with students at Wakefield High School in Arlington, Virginia. And we’ve got students tuning in from all across America, from kindergarten through 12th grade. And I am just so glad that all could join us today. And I want to thank Wakefield for being such an outstanding host. Give yourselves a big round of applause. (Applause.)I know that for many of you, today is the first day of school. And for those of you in kindergarten, or starting middle or high school, it’s your first day in a new school, so it’s understandable if you’re a little nervous. I imagine there are some seniors out there who are feeling pretty good right now -- (applause) -- with just one more year to go. And no matter what grade you’re in, some of you are probably wishing it were still summer and you could’ve stayed in bed just a little bit longer this morning.I know that feeling. When I was young, my family lived overseas. I lived in Indonesia for a few years. And my mother, she didn’t have the money to send me where all the American kids went to school, but she thought it was important for me to keep up with an American education. So she decided to teach me extra lessons herself, Monday through Friday. But because she had to go to work, the only time she could do it was at 4:30 in the morning.Now, as you might imagine, I wasn’t too happy about getting up that early. And a lot of times, I’d fall asleep right there at the kitchen table. But whenever I’d complain, my mother would just give me one of those looks and she’d say, “This is no picnic for me either, buster.” (Laughter.)So I know that some of you are still adjusting to being back at school. But I’m here today because I have something important to discuss with you. I’m here because I want to talk with you about your education and what’s expected of all of you in this new school year.But at the end of the day, we can have the most dedicated teachers, the most supportive parents, the best schools in the world -- and none of it will make a difference, none of it will matter unless all of you fulfill your responsibilities, unless you show up to those schools, unless you pay attention to those teachers, unless you listen to your parents and grandparents and other adults and put in the hard work it takes to succeed. That’s what I want to focus on today: the responsibility each of you has for your education.I want to start with the responsibility you have to yourself. Every single one of you has something that you’re good at. Every single one of you has something to offer. And you have a responsibility to yourself to discover what that is. That’s the opportunity an education can provide.
How well are we in tune with the rhythm of life? In our busy day to day existence, we don’t often stop to ask ourselves this question. At least I don’t. And it wasn’t until I joined a competitive sporting event that I learned a most important lesson – we must place our mind in harmony with the natural order of things to be successful.
Let me tell you what happened.
I decided to take part in an International Marathon in my hometown last year. Being an ambitious person, I hoped to finish it within 5 hours, accompanied by my friend with whom I had trained.
The big day finally arrived. "Ready...set...bang" And we were off.
At first, we kept a rapid pace and ran nonstop. At this pace, we finished the first 20 kilometers in 2 hours and I thought running a marathon was a piece of cake. Then my running mate began to slow down. I urged him to keep running at the same pace but he said no, he wanted to conserve his energy. I felt I had partnered with the wrong person, therefore, I sprinted on and left him behind in the dust.
A few kilometers later, I began to understand his strategy as my pace slowed to a jog then a walk. After that I was incapable of moving another step. I was humiliated as more and more people ran passed me. More than once I thought "Maybe I should quit." I started to doubt my ability to finish this race.
At this moment, my running mate caught up with me and slapped me on the back. “Follow me,” he shouted. He had balanced his marathon pace and was encouraged me to do the same. For the rest of this grueling contest, we walked, jogged, ran a few miles, and walked again. Slowly, painfully but hopefully this time, we established the most suitable pace within the natural flow of our physical capabilities.
Eventually we accomplished our first Marathon of 42 kilometers in 4 and half hours. I asked myself, what did this marathon mean to me? My Marathon experience became an influential metaphor for my life about how we must learn to pace ourselves in everything, by being in tune with the rhythm of life.
Like the tide that ebbs and flows, we must listen to advice but make our own decisions. Like the show at dawn and dusk, we must learn to balance pride and modesty. And from the way the wind can both shout and whisper, we must learn when to be strong and when to be gentle, for everything moves in its own rhythm and its own yin and yang elements. It is the interaction of these complementary extremes that produces harmony, as Laozi said, extremes meet. Since the marathon, this notion of two opposite forces working together has been my running partner, so to speak. Yin and yang exist everywhere, constantly interacting, and never existing in an absolute condition.
Ladies and Gentlemen, life is like running a marathon, let us discover, define and develop a natural rhythm of life, in order to achieve both harmony and success.

Learn How to Say No
We've all been taught that we should help people. It is the right thing to do and will make us popular with others. It may even win us favors in return. However, we must be realistic. We can't say yes to every request. If we did, we would fail or go crazy for sure. Sometimes we sim*** don't have the time to help. In this case, we must know how to say no politely.
When we need to say no, here is one method we can try. First, we should tell the truth. If we really can't do something, we should just say so. Second, we should remember to refuse requests politely. We must communicate clearly, but must also be sincere and sympathetic. A true friend will understand. Finally, we must not feel guilty about saying no. Sometimes refusing others is the right thing to do. It can save ourselves, and them, a lot of trouble. In short, we cannot please everyone all the time. Refusing favors is a part of life.

The recent earthquake in Japan has triggered a series of unexpected crises and even faith crisis among us. Are the increasing natural disasters echoing the 20xx prediction by Maya? Is our future really so vulnerable and tentative? I am trying to probe the answer.
Last November, as a volunteer of the Global Sustainable Leaders Forum, I first came across the concept of social entrepreneurship. In the inspiring speeches, I saw the determination and faith of converting ideal into practice. I couldn’t help asking myself: what should I live for?
The great thinker Russell once put in his essay: Three passions, simple but overwhelmingly strong have governed my life: the longing for love, the search for knowledge, and unbearable pity for the suffering of mankind.

Then, how can I make a difference? A talk with my father gave me some inspiration.

In my university, students majoring in National Defence choose to devote their golden years to safeguarding our mother land. They have interpreted faith with their own dynamic youth.
My friends, musicians can not sim*** provide us with lyrical notes, but create melody to sooth our soul; Scientists can not merely invent machines, but utilize their wisdom to reshape our lifestyle; teachers can not just impart knowledge, but usher us to become a worthy person!
So, my dear friends, life without faith is just like music without melody, and world without color. We are who we choose to be. It is faith that’ll remove our fear about future and stretch the radius of our life. Let faith light up all our young dreams.

英语短文阅读的重要性不仅表现在高中英语考试中它的份量最大，而且还表现在英语短文是英语词汇知识和语法知识的载体方面。词汇量的扩大、词汇知识的丰富和句子表达的多样性光靠死记硬背是无法也不可能实现的。扩大词汇量、丰富自己的词汇知识和地道完美的表达自己只有依靠优良的阅读*惯。教材课文是精读材料，需要同学们读熟读透，直至能开口娓娓道来为止。课外阅读又叫泛读。高中英语新课标教材对高中前八个模块的学*有一个要求：课外阅读要完成30万单词的阅读量。也就是说：同学们需要每天有500到700个单词量的阅读。课外阅读也是运用语言的一种必不可少的形式。课外阅读不能停留在完成几道阅读理解试题或者完形填空试题。关键在尽量弄懂文章中的每一句话含义、长难句的结构。留意你还不很熟悉的词汇、词汇知识和语法知识。还要去认真体会不同的英语句子在表达上的精确性。千万不要在一些你还不认识的，拼写怪诞，发音困难的生僻词汇上浪费时间和精力。
阅读能力，除词汇量大小以外，还包含阅读速度、长难句理解、和把握主题大意的能力。要会快速阅读，同学们必须学会一些阅读的技能：如：skimming(跳读)、scanning(扫读)和digesting(研读)。Skimming和scanning就是根据阅读任务在文中查找相关信息。Digesting主要是用来理解长难句、把握主题大意和作者意图以及猜测词义的技术。不仅要研读长难句结构，也还需要研读逻辑关系。
流畅的短文表达能力在很大程度上依赖于你的词汇量、词汇知识和句法知识。它们的积累在于*时的听、说和读的活动。写作表达能力中，你的英语句式的结构思维能力或者英语*惯思维能力会对表达能力有重要影响。这就需要同学们*时养成一个良好*惯：那就是总是试图用英语来表达出你眼睛所看到的，耳朵能听到的，身体能感受到的和你思想能想到的。除此之外，一篇优秀的短文还少不了三个要素：即结构，内容和语言。

语言要尽可能是地道的，去汉语化的英语。要经常套用自己在阅读中、在课堂上学来句子结构去表达自己。要敢于尝试用比较复杂的句子结构和比较高级的词汇来使文章进一步美化。
听所读写四大技能并不是各自孤立的，也是相互作用和相互制约的。如果*时，只注重某一项技能的学*和训练，那是不可能成为一位真正的英语强手的。
任何一门学科都需要踏实的学*作风。外语也不例外。学外语的实主要表现在以下几个方面：
一、落实词汇、词汇知识和特殊句式的积累。落实词汇和词汇知识并不是反复背记词汇表中的单词。落实词汇、词汇知识以及特殊句式的最好办法是先探究后运用。一个词汇在经过七到八次在不同时间和不同的语境中运用后，它就是你的了。词汇知识和特殊句式也是一样。写作是运用，造句是运用，阅读，倾听和与他人用英语交流也是运用。借助词典进行造句练*，在造句中运用新学的词汇不失为一种行之有效的简单易行的方式。

四、落实课内课外书面作业。简单的完成老师布置的作业量并不是落实。书面作业质的落实必须是在真正懂了、记住了的基础上又快又好的独立的、闭卷式的完成书面作业。对发现的漏洞和缺陷要采取补救措施。
五、落实自主探究的学*能力培养。学*中缺乏自主探究，不善于利用团队合作和与老师沟通是很多高中生在学*中存在的一种普遍想象。老师不是保姆，老师不可能把英语的词汇知识和英语的四大能力烹制成一道道佳肴后，一口一口地喂进学生的口中。老师的探究代替不了学生的探究。学*能力的培养主要是探究能力的培养。学会了探究，你才会在知识的大海中畅游。学会了探究，你才会成为终身学*者。英语学科的探究应该表现在对某一特定词汇在文中、在句中的用法和含义的探究，对长难句结构和含义的探究，对相关知识关联的探究，对作者意图、主题大意的探究，当然也包含对学法的探究。要探究知识，要有工具（词典以及各种手册等）的帮助，更要有团队的合作，还要有老师的帮助。团队合作可以让你取他人之长补自己之短，还可以集思广益，产生思想火花。常与老师沟通是可以使你更容易发现前进的方向，少走弯路。

Here is the first one.More and more people used to be using air condition,but how many people ever thought whether this new ?hobby? will bring side-effects or not? Maybe just few people.In fact,the side-effect is apparent.The emissions of gases exhausted from air conditioning contain a lot of methane which could cause global warming.By the way,air conditioning will waste a lot of electricity .
The second one is about the increasing amount of cars.According to the statistics,in 21st century,there are 7 millions cars in the world,a large amount of exhaust gases has seriously influenced us,such as: cough,throat inflammation.
This two phenomenons are just few part of reason which change our environment badly.There are many other reasons.
In nearly 100 years,the average global temperature experienced twice fluctuations which is “cold-warm-cold-warm”.Generally,it is the trend that global climate is becoming warmer and warmer .In 1980s,global temperature rised apparently.According to Chinese scientists,the average temperature in China has risen by 1.1 degrees centigrade in the last 5 decades.It is higher than the reported global average.We are seeing more frequent bouts of extreme weather in many parts of the country.For example,last spring,the most severe drought in 50 years hit northern China affecting the livelihood of 4 million people.Environmental damage and climate change is a reality for us.Out of the world?s most polluted 20 cities,half are in China,70% of Chinese rivers are polluted .China has become the largest carbon emitter of the world.
It is really thought-provoking(发人深省).Who pays for it ? First,as the pace of human high-tech development process goes quiker and quiker,the side-effects with the science development reflected,global warming is one example.more and more greenhouse gases with the development of economy are being discharged into the air.About 70% of the greenhouse gases has been composed of carbon dioxide,which is considered as one of the greatest causes of global warming .It has harmful effects,causing the sea level to raise and many natural disasters to strike.On the other hand ,scientists in one wave after another try to awaken us to the growing threat of global warming.But many coutries tend to turn a deaf ear(充耳不闻) to the scientists?warnings.In fact,the earth?s atmosphere is definitely being warmed and the problem is largely man-made.A wise way is that we should get moving to protect ourselves.So the public demand that all nations should taket strong measures to prevent the increase of the earth?s temperature.
In my opinion,it is the high time for us to take action.In order to save the earth,we should try to do things below: no air conditioning,use recycled paper,abandon meat food,don?t use plastic bags,take a bus.It is little drops of life.As long as everyone takes action,it will be a powerful strength to rescue our planet.All countries are supposed to take the legislative initiative as soon as possible.Only in this way can the global warming be put under control.
What is nature? It's everything that e xxx ists in the world independently of people, such as pants and animals, earth and rocks, and the weather.
Now more and more people are focusing on the nature. It is no doubt that the nature is important to every human being. No nature, no life. People in rich countries make the heaviest demands on the world's resources, its food, fuel and land, and cause the most pollution. A baby born in the United States will use in his lifetime 30 times more of the world's resources than a baby born in India. Unless all the countries of the world take united action to deal with the population e xxx plosion there will be more and more people fighting for a share of less and less land, food and fuel, and the future will bring poverty, misery and war to us all.
For most of the developing countries, it is a good idea to control the population growth. For e xxx ample, China has carried out birth control for years. And this plan has a great effect on the world population.
If the population continues to increase, if the air and water continue to be polluted, if we don't do something to protect wild-plant and wildlife species will be declining. in our current society, we can’t be more familiar with the phrase ----the low carbon economy. we all take it for granted due to the fact the concept of low carbon economy enjoys a higher and higher popularity in our daily life, especially after today’s speech contestj .but how can we achieve the goal of low carbon economy?
so what’s low carbon life style?
let’s look back on our daily life. every morning as soon as you open your eyes, are you used to turn on the lights immediately when the room is bright enough as long as you draw the window curtains apart? is that your habit that when you are brushing your teeth you leave the water tap running on? are you accustomed to setting the temperature of the air conditioner in your office below 26 degrees celsius? in general, a low-carbon lifestyle covers many aspects of our modern life, such as cooking, transportation, home heating, and holiday travel, which can be conducted in a way that gives the maximum reduction of personal carbon emissions. it is a life with low energy, low consumption, low expenses.
As time goes by, man is making the earth sick. People cut down too manytrees and leave rubbish everywhere. Factories let out their waste without doinganying to it . This has cause some serious problems. Such as the land is sandy,the river is dirty, the air is less clean, even the temperature of the earth isrising. What should we do to save the earth ? My suggestion is that we shouldplant more trees, put rubbish into dusbins and stop factories pouring wastedirectly into the air or rivers. In all, we have only one earth, we should doour best to protect it, or we will regret.

when i was ten, i was suddenly confronted with the anguish of transferring to other school. i had to left my friends i had ever known. as a kid,i feel lonely when i study in a new environment without a person i had known. nobody i could talk,nobody could know when i feel lonely. the time when i couldn't sleep, i'll always miss them, then the tears filled my eyes.
later, i became familar with the environment ,and made some friends ,which became my best friends then. they talked with me when i felt lonely, they helped me when i needed, they took care of me when i was sick. even through we were part, we still keep in touch with each other.
in our whole lives,we'll meet too much people but only a few can be our best friends. when staying with them,we can release ourself completely. we can do whatever we want, we can laugh together, talk together, and even cry together. i should say that being together with our best friends is the most wonderful moment of our lives.
but in this fast-developing modern society, the reality is not that. more and more people forget to enjoy the beauty of friendship. they work hard in order to gain a higher position in the society and to earn more money for their work. they have few time to share with their friends. with the time goes by, they will be far away from each other.

Looking around us,we can see that polluction is posing a threat to our earth, which comes in many ways. A large amount of waste water from factories pollutes water ,making the rivers fishless and our water unfit to drink and swim in. Further more,a lot of trees have been cut down without proper plans.,which continues to the soil being washed away. It seems that we really have no clean place to live in.
The pollution is so serious that we have to find effective solutions to it. As far as I'm concerned , the goverment should pass laws to reduce poiiuted air. 十几年前，我带着对新生活的憧憬，带着教书育人的职业使命，走到了讲台这一方土天地间。一千多个日日夜夜已悄然逝去，曾经的我默默的下定决心，一定要在自己的事业上有所成就，我要用心来对待我的工作，用自己的方式诠释我对教育的理解，也就是带着这种信念和决心，几年来我对工作可谓是一丝不苟，勤勤恳恳。对待任何工作我都充满着热情，学校给予的各种机会我都牢牢把握。无数个白天黑夜，我远离了喧嚣人群，多少个宁静的夜晚，我安于寂寞，笔耕不辍。有时，为了备好一堂课，我认真钻研教材好几遍；有时，为了准备一篇论文，我翻阅大量书籍，不断学*新知，提升教育理念；有时，为了写好一则报道，对简单的几十个字我反复琢磨，细细推敲；也有时，为了完成上级交给的紧急任务，我加班加点直到雄鸡报晓。更有时为了辅导学生的比赛放弃无数个中午和休息日，只为完成我自己的使命。
还依稀记得前几年的那次小学英语歌咏歌谣比赛，那是我第一次辅导学生比赛。出于对职业的这份责任心，我给了自己压力，从接到通知的那一刻，我就开始张罗。于是几乎所有的空余时间，我都在苦思冥想，构思，选曲，选人每一个细节我都力求做到最完美。三年级的孩子懂的英语实在是太少，我没法将歌词复印给他们自己去背，只能对着10个孩子一个单词一个单词地教。但是让我最困惑的不是这个，而是没有时间给我们排练，很多次都要我一个个教室的去找人，等别的组都训练完了我们再抓紧时间排练一会儿。跟本不会唱歌的我却让她们一句一句跟着我唱直到熟练为止，更不善于跳舞的我却要自创队型，自编动作，一遍一遍地教，一个一个动作细扣。奇怪的是我一点也不感觉到累，反倒觉得和这群孩子一起排练的日子很幸福，只有在那个时候我才能觉得这群孩子是属于我的，我喜欢那种感觉。这就是我，一个普通的小学英语老师，我没有力量去改变什么，但我希望能把自己的能力发挥到极致。我会不厌其烦的'跟学生强调英语的重要性，只是真心的希望他们能为初中的学*打下更好的基础；我也会花上两个星期的时间，记住所教班级的学生的名字，只是希望能更快的了解他们；我还会一次次向领导提出建议，以期用我微弱的力量来改变学生英语学*的现状，因为这是我——一个*凡的小学英语教师的使命。

大家下午好！
首先感谢区教研室的领导给我一次与大家交流的机会。在座的各位毕业班英语老师都是经验非常丰富的，在大家面前来谈英语教学的经验实在是惭愧。为了提高英语教学质量，我的确是想了很多的办法，这里面有成功带来的喜悦，也有失败带来的反思。这些谈不上经验，现简单地做个介绍，如有不当之处，敬请各位批评指正。
记得刚刚走上工作岗位的我曾经信心百倍，认为小学英语教学应该是很简单的事情，不就是听、说、读、写嘛，没什么难的，但真正开始教学，真正开始接触学生之后，我才感觉到：小学英语教学尤其是我们农村学生的英语教学真是坎坷难行。教学一开始我就遇到了种种问题。有一大部分学生在潜意识里根本没有把英语当一回事，有些学生甚至有抵触的情绪。从家庭上看，我们的学生家庭大部分属于农村家庭，英语没有被受到重视，再加上家长能听懂英语的少之又少，更别说辅导了。从环境上来看，学生除了课堂上短短的40分钟外，基本上就没有使用英语的环境了，放学后听英语磁带的作业也有大部分学生不能自觉完成，再加上英语课课时较少，因此我的英语教学开展得并不顺畅。面对如此多的问题，我决定从学生的学*兴趣、学*方法和学**惯方面去入手解决。现想从我的切身体会谈几点做法及建议：
一、要从自身找原因，培养学生学*英语的兴趣。
自己先要想办法，持有一份乐观的态度，勤思考，乐奉献。给学生一份爱，让学生喜欢你，从而喜欢上你的英语课。因为兴趣是最好的老师，当学生喜欢上你的课了，专心地听讲了，那课堂上所取得的效果不就事半功倍了吗？在培养学生学*兴趣方面，我做了如下工作：
（一）、用爱去灌溉学生。
首先用心地给学生一份爱。因为爱可以融化人与人之间的隔阂，给学生一份爱，同时你也会收获到他们对您的爱。我们要在日常生活接触中体现爱，例如下课后，我大多时间都会逗留在班里，跟他们谈谈学*上的问题、说说家常话或开个玩笑逗逗他们，他们会不亦乐乎。时间长了，他们就把我当朋友了。记得20xx年那届我班有个顽皮又聪明的学生叫黄永樟，各门功课成绩极差，经常不及格甚至低分，是让语文数学老师头疼的学生。可英语科他却十分感兴趣，能拿八、九十分，为什么他英语成绩那么高呢，原因是他被我“俘虏”了，很爱上英语课，也很喜欢给我拉家常。有一次，下课了，他走到我跟前，兴奋地告诉我，他家大母狗生了5条小狗，可爱极了。
（二）、注重课前、课堂中气氛的调和。
每次上课走来，总能从楼下听到我班朗朗的英语读书声，当我站在讲台上的第一句话便是及时地、微笑着表扬他们：“Youhadagoodjob，children。”在楼下我已经能听到你们朗朗的读书声了，老师真开心啊，你们读得那么好，或很自豪的或说：“哇，你们读书真棒，所有老师听了也对你们竖起了大拇指”，这样小小的表扬就充分树立他们的自信心，他们会很高兴，下次他们会读得更好。别以为这样的方法六年级不适用了，恰好这些方法我都是一年级，六年级通用的，课堂上也注重学生的学*状态，随时调整课堂气氛，使学生在一个良好的氛围里不知不觉地学到了知识。记得去年的六（1）班下午第一节英语，由于3月份天气原因，学生总有一种“春眼不觉晓，处处闻啼鸟”的倦态，那节课学生的精神状态很差，学*积极性不高，我想：如果这样讲下去效果肯定不好，于是我临时利用我班的搞笑大王叶宝彬同学做着火点，从他入手，我说：“Hello宝彬，howoldareyoutoday？”他被我突如其来的问题吓愣了，我顺势说：“我猜你有30岁了”全班同学一听，哈的一声笑起来，眼神都看着宝彬，我说：“看你今天上课的心态有30岁了吧？好，老师决定今天帮你时光倒流，把你变成3岁的小孩子，好吗？”这时宝彬不好意思的笑了，全班同学也来起了精神，他们倒要看看我怎样把宝彬同学变成一个3岁的小孩子。也许有的老师会说，这样每天浪费时间在与学*无关的事上，不就事倍功半了吗？我觉得恰恰相反，每节课恰当的气氛调节，是课堂上良好的调料，把他们的学*注意力集中到课堂上，那效果不就事半功倍了吗，总比罗罗嗦嗦讲纪律强多了，而实践证时，我也收到了较好的教学效果
二、抓好课堂教学掌握良好的学*方法。
不管是哪一门学科，要想有好成绩，课堂教学的质量是最重要的，课后炒冷饭，补的效果当然也有，那肯定会费时费力。在课堂教学方面，要注意方法，尤其是一些无味枯燥的内容，要找易于学生理解的切入点，要想方设法吸引学生。对于自己今天所上的内容自己一定要有个清晰的思路，课后及时反思。例如反思一下你今天教的开心吗？学生学得开心吗？学生学到了什么，遗漏了什么等等。同时对于一些后进生，课堂上千万不要丢掉他们，不理他们，不给他们发言、练说的机会。相反，要像警察一样时常盯着他们，与他们进行目光的交流。因为他们后进，可能有更多的听不懂的'地方，而容易开小差，教师的目光以及点名回答，一是提醒他认真听课，同时也是在给他练*的机会。
三、培养良好的学**惯。
（一）、全面实行“一帮一”，充分发挥学生的作用。
为了提高英语教学质量，提高学生的英语学*成绩，我还注意培养学生的互助学**惯，分小组学*，小组成员结成一帮一的互助对子，充分发挥学生的作用，例如做有关语法和时态得练*题时，让他们同桌或小组讨论：这题为什么这样做，原因是什么，让他们用语法或时态等说出理由，说服对方。这样既让基础好的学生所学的知识得到了巩固，又帮助了其他的同学共同进步，不再出现很严重的“两极分化”，可以说是一举两得。
（二）、课后补差工作。
班里总会出现一些个别的差生，不是学**惯差就是基础差，教师一定要课后花工夫，进行辅导。例如我就我校实际情况，请示校长，同时得到校领导的大力支持，每天利用早读前20分钟，到三楼电教室给他们补课。让他们把遗忘的知识都温故而知新。我觉得这样做效果还是挺大的，原来不及格的学生都追赶上来了，消灭了不及格率。
作为一名小学英语老师，我们肩负的担子是沉重的，我们的任务是艰巨的，古语说的好，教有法，但无定法，重在用法，贵在创法。希望我们全体英语老师共同努力，创造更多的教学方法，更有效地提高英语教学质量。以上是我对小学英语教学的一些浅谈，说得不好请批评指教。谢谢大家！
我想每个教师肯定有很多。虽没有那么多的感天泣地的故事情节，但也有印象深刻和意义深长的故事情景。
20xx年9月，刚刚从学校毕业来到我校成为一名教师，当第一次走进教室时学生们脸上那种松了口气的表情，可能是老师严肃的表情看太多了吧，换了一个新来的老师他们都觉得很放松吧，但是一进学校就听到许多诸如课堂混乱，学生不听话，甚至故意与老师作对这种恐怖故事，心里便默念着，要给他们一个下马威。于是，在我教书生涯的第一个学期，发怒成了我生活中出现得最多的动作。课堂上有人不专心，没完成作业这些都会引起我的发怒。于是我会在课堂上大声呵斥犯错的学生，只因为觉得这样做会在全班起到震慑作用，却没有去想这个学生会有怎样的感受。也忽略了同样坐在教室中其他的那些满怀期待等老师讲授下一课，他们很好奇的内容的学生。
其实，每一个孩子都是可爱的，虽然他们有的可能学*成绩有些差强人意，但他有可能是运动会上的冠军，是劳动中的能手，是他主动送生病的同学去医务室，谁能说他不是个好孩子，又有谁是完美的呢？
无意中我读到了一个故事，故事说古代有位老禅师，一日晚上看见墙角边有一张椅子，是哪位出家人违犯寺规越墙出去遛达了。老禅师也不声张，走到墙边，移开椅子，就地而蹲。少顷，果真有一小和尚翻墙，黑暗中踩着老禅师的背脊跳进了院子。当他发觉刚才踏的不
是椅子，而是自己的师傅时，惊慌失措，张口结舌。但师傅并没有厉声责备他，只是以*静的语调说：“夜深天凉，快去多穿一件衣服。” 故事深深地打动了我，孩子们对老师是宽容的，只要你对他们付出过爱心，那么你曾经对他们的冷言冷语，暴跳如雷，他们都可以原谅。他们崇拜你、爱你。我又常常想，老师也应该对学生宽容再宽容一些，芸芸众生，各有所长，各有所短，可能他们经常无法克制自己的言行，无法很好地完成学*任务，不一定有辉煌的未来，可是谁说一个*凡的人就比谁低人一等呢？像故事中的那个老和尚，就清楚地知道，宽容是一种无声的教育。虽然书本知识的灌输是很重要的，但是给学生营造一个宽容的学*环境，在鼓励学生的人格力量的成长上，个性张扬的发展上，是有利得多的。整体的社会潮流、教育氛围和工作生活压力，有时候让我们教师偏离了方向。
这段故事使我更深的领悟到“爱”是连接师生心灵的桥梁，作为教育活动的`主体，我们必须有一颗爱心，只有热爱学生，设身处地的理解学生，帮助学生，才会从各方面了解清楚学生的情况，才能使学生积极、主动的去接受教育。当然，通过交流也会促使教师更加努力的工作，并从中体会到一种特殊的“幸福”。在教育教学中，我深深的感受到“教育爱”的重要与伟大。
