A tiger, a monkey, a dog, an eagle. And there is a tall stone like the spring bamboo; we call it “shisun”. It’s the highest peak in the word. My home is near the “hao xi” river. The river is rich in fish. I like the “hao xi” fish very much. The sky is blue. The air is fresh. People like to take photos, draw pictures and have a holiday here. How beautiful is it. Great Changes in My Hometown I used to live in a small town with trees all around. There was no tall building and the only street was narrow. Just outside the town， there was a river. You can see different kinds of fish swimming in the clear water. People here lived a simple life. Great changes have taken place here. You can see tall buildings， big department stores and factories everywhere. Different kinds of cars and buses are running in the big streets. But with the development of the industry， we have fewer trees. Air and water pollution is becoming more and more serious. We must do something to stop pollution and make our town even more beautiful.
If you travel from the outside to Ya’an along a wide and clean road, you will arrive at a beautiful place which only can appear in your dream, But now , I will tell you that you are not dreaming. This beautiful place named“TianQuan”─my hometown, it stands near the Qingyi river at the foot of Erlang mountain, It is a small city covered by green and it’s famous for the beautiful scenery, excellent climate and long history.
In the past, it was poor. People who once came here did not want to come again ，why?The streets were full of rubbishes and the buildings were old and small，when there were strong winds the buildings were shaking as if they wanted to say “Hello”to you.
But today，with the lead of our government, many changes have taken place，life is much better than before.
First, flowing on modern agriculture, theader guide peasants to use advanced technology to develop agriculture.Such as ,keeping chickens in cages, planting fruit trees. As a result, the economy developed reasonably.
Tourism is another way to develop economy .You know that there are many interesting places in Tianquan. If you come to visit these places, the people there will offer the best for you and give you a lot of pleasure. The most famous one is “Laba He”，
There, the air is so clear and you can see trees and mountains everywhere some said：“In summer it is green like a fountain，and in winter it is white like a white jade, so it attracts thousands of towns from all over the world ”.
Finally，the leaders pay much attention to the education，They have trained more and more skilled person. Most of then come back to our hometown and devote all their loves to our hometown.
In order to build our hometown into a land of economic prosperity, political stability and beautiful landscape. many new buildings, schools and roads have been built here. furthermore, the qing—zang railway leading to lhasa is being built. many shopping centers have been opened, and modern technology like telecommunications is spreading. the whole city looks prosperous, and our tibetan people take on a new look. every festival, people walk around freely on the new, wide and smooth streets, wearing the beautiful traditional costumes.
right now, i am looking forward to a festival called shodün which comes in june for eating yoghurt. at this time, all my family and i gather for a picnic together at the norbulinka, a famous garden. in the garden, we sing tibetan songs, dance “guo zhuang” on the grass; eat zanba, drink butter tea and barley beer on the beautiful carpet as well. we enjoy our life. i think that this festival exhibits the open-minded and optimistic character of the tibetan people.

3、巩固和强化。单词在初次学*后，应及时地复*、巩固，以免在短时间内遗忘。 还有一些方法 比如 收听英语节目、看英文原版录像都是效果不错的方法。即经常有意识地用英语交流。 英语考试中阅读理解题所占考分大，耗时多，但如果*时能做到多读，则有助于提高阅读能力。阅读要快读，以提高阅读速度，增加和扩大英语感性认识。

①多读
英语要学好，其实没有什么宝典秘笈，重要的是多读，光会做考试的巨人可不行，语言可是要学以致用的。在每天早晨，当你第一眼看到透过窗帘射进来的阳光时，不要在赖床了，起床读英语可是一件好事。早上地记忆力是最好的，读读英语课文，单词，还有助于深化印象。光会写单词可不行，要会读，看好音标，发音一定要准确。这样你学的英语才有用，语言时说出来的，可不是写在卷子上的。
②多听
说完了多读，多听也是一项不可缺少的项目。别真到了用上英语的时候，你自己侃侃而谈之后，别人说什么你想听天书一样，那也是没用，语言使用来交流的。
应该多听一些外国人说英语，开始的时候，能听清几个单词算几个，如果你们的学校有外教，那就更好了，在口语课上一定要尽量仔细听，这是提升你英语口语水*的好机会，也要多和外教交流。想在看电视时，加入看的是一部英国或美国电影，最好强迫自己不看字幕。尽量去听其中的英语对话。另外，也可以试着听一些英文歌。
③多看
多看一些英文读物同样是一个提升英语水*的好办法。我在家里，母亲常给我买《书虫》以及其他的英文读物。这可是考验你*常的词汇与短语积累的机会，先阅读一遍，又不会的地方先更具上下文猜测一下意思，实在不行就看注释，那些生活常用的短语啊，单词啊，句型啊，一定要多做积累。当意思通顺，单词发音掌握后，就大声的读，训练自己流利的读下来。有些电影都是中英双字幕，可以在看电影时，不让自己看中文字幕，先看底下的英文字幕，能看出大概意思后就要和上面的中文字幕对照一下。英语也要灵活，这样中英对照多了后，你会发现，其实往往你为一个单词抓耳挠腮百思不得其解时，其实可能另一个单词换上后一切问题就都迎刃而解了，在英语中，一个单词其实可以代表其他相*的意思。
好了，其实学英语要我说，也就多读多听多看。自己*常的积累也是很大的一部分。

Matt and his wife lived in the country. Matt was very stingy and hated spending money. One day a fair came to the nearby town.
"Let's go to the fair, Matt," his wife said. "We haven't been anywhere for a long time."

Facing this audience on the stage, I have the exciting feeling of participating in the march of history, for what we are facing today is more than a mere competition or contest. In my elementary years, there was a little girl in the class who worked very hard but somehow could never do satisfactorily in her lessons.
The teacher asked me to help her, and it was obvious that she expected a lotfromme. but as a young boy, restless, thoughtless, I always tried to evade her so as to get more time to enjoy myself.
One day before the final exam, she came up to me and said, "Could you please explain this to me? I want very much to do better this time. " I started explaining, and finished in a hurry. Pretending not to notice her still confused eyes, I ran off quickly. Nat surprisingly, she again did very badly in the exam. And two months later, at the beginning of the new semester, word came of her death of blood cancer. No one ever knew about the little task I failed to fulfill, but I couldn't forgive myself.
