as everyone knows,english is very important today.it has been used everywhere in the world.it has become the most common language on internet and for international trade. if we can speak english well,we will have more chance to succeed.because more and more people have taken notice of it,the number of the people who go to learn english has increased at a high speed.
but for myself,i learn english not only because of its importance and its usefulness,but also because of my love for it.when i learn english, i can feel a different way of thinking which gives me more room to touch the world.when i read english novels,i can feel the pleasure from the book which is different from reading the translation.when i speak english, i can feel the confident from my words.when i write english,i can see the beauty which is not the same as our chinese...

However, the toughest part is that we often have no ideas how to translate these dreams into actions. Well, just start with concrete objectives and stick to it. Don’t let the nameless fear confuse the eye and confound our strong belief of future. Through our talents, through our wits, through our endurance and through our creativity, we will make it.
Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken-winged bird that cannot fly. Hold fast to dreams, for when dreams go, life is a barren field frozen with snow. So my dear friends, think of your old and maybe dead dreams. Whatever it is, pick it up and make it alive from today.

We often hear people say, Never give up. These can be encouraging words and words of determination. A person who believes in them will keep trying to reach his goal no matter how many times he fails. In my opinion, the quality of determination to succeed is an important one to have. Therefore, I believe that we should never give up.
One reason is that if we give up too easily, we will rarely achieve anything. It is not unusual for us to fail in our first attempt at something new, so we should not feel discouraged and should try again. Besides, if we always give up when we fail, we will not be able to develop new skills and grow as people. Another reason we should never give up is that we can learn from our mistakes only if we make a new effort. If we do not try again, the lesson we have learned is wasted. Finally, we should never give up because as we work to reach our goals, we develop confidence, and this confidence can help us succeed in other areas of our lives. If we never challenge ourselves, we will begin to doubt our abilities.
In short, it is important that we do not give up when working for our goals. Whether we succeed in the end or not, we will learn something, and what we learn will help us to become better, more confident people. Furthermore, if we give up, we have non chance of attaining our goals, but if we keep trying, there is always a chance that we will succeed one day.

Every Chinese knows the importance of the college entrance examination, so the high school students always can feel the stress from that exam, especially when that day is nearby. Some students will not do as well as usual because of heavy stress. It is necessary to adjust their mood well before the exam.
They should not give too much pressure to themselves, instead of having usual heart. Then they can do in working order. To reach this goal, they can spare time to do some sports or just go running and keep telling themselves that the exam can’t decide their future, so they try their best would be OK and no one will blame them. The purpose is make them feel relax, as the status of relax is the best state for achieving good marks in the exam. It is helpful.
More and more middle school students are going to all kinds of training classes or having family teachers at the weekend. There are two different viewpoints about it.
On the one hand, some think that studying following the family teachers is better than self study. It can not only strengthen what you’ve learnt at school, but help you learn more useful things as well.
On the other hand, some people who have the different opinion consider it a waste of time and money, for many training classes and family teachers are just working for money, you can not learn something really useful there, and thus lose the time of relaxing yourselves.
In my opinion, as students, we should really know whether we need a training class or family teacher. First, make sure that you need them, and they would be helpful, then choose a reasonable one. Just remember, once you start and never give up.

People returning to work after a career break: I call them relaunchers.These are people who have taken career breaks for elder care,for childcare reasons,pursuing a personal interest or a personal health issue.Closely related are career transitioners of all kinds: veterans,military spouses,retirees coming out of retirement or repatriating expats.Returning to work after a career break is hard because of a disconnect between the employers and the relaunchers.Employers can view hiring people with a gap on their resume as a high-risk proposition,and individuals on career break can have doubts about their abilities to relaunch their careers,especially if they've been out for a long time.This disconnect is a problem that I'm trying to help solve.

Now,successful relaunchers are everywhere and in every field.This is Sami Kafala.He's a nuclear physicist in the UK who took a five-year career break to be home with his five children.The Singapore press recently wrote about nurses returning to work after long career breaks.And speaking of long career breaks,this is Mimi Kahn.She's a social worker in Orange County,California,who returned to work in a social services organization after a 25-year career break.That's the longest career break that I'm aware of.Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor took a five-year career break early in her career.

I'll tell you what happened with Tracy in a little bit,but I want to share with you a discovery that I made when I was returning to work after my own career break of 11 years out of the full-time workforce.And that is,that people's view of you is frozen in time.What I mean by this is,when you start to get in touch with people and you get back in touch with those people from the past,the people with whom you worked or went to school,they are going to remember you as you were before your career break.And that's even if your sense of self has diminished over time,as happens with so many of us the farther removed we are from our professional identities.So for example,you might think of yourself as someone who looks like this.This is me,crazy after a day of driving around in my minivan.Or here I am in the kitchen.But those people from the past,they don't know about any of this.They only remember you as you were,and it's a great confidence boost to be back in touch with these people and hear their enthusiasm about your interest in returning to work.

There's one more thing I remember vividly from my own career break.And that was that I hardly kept up with the business news.My background is in finance,and I hardly kept up with any news when I was home caring for my four young children.So I was afraid I'd go into an interview and start talking about a company that didn't exist anymore.So I had to resubscribe to the Wall Street Journal and read it for a good six months cover to cover before I felt like I had a handle on what was going on in the business world again.

On the flip side,I speak with employers,and here are two concerns that employers have about hiring relaunchers.

The first one is,employers are worried that relaunchers are technologically obsolete.Now,I can tell you,having been technologically obsolete myself at one point,that it's a temporary condition.I had done my financial ***ysis so long ago that I used Lotus 1-2-3.I don't know if anyone can even remember back that far,but I had to relearn it on Excel.It actually wasn't that hard.A lot of the commands are the same.I found PowerPoint much more challenging,but now I use PowerPoint all the time.I tell relaunchers that employers expect them to come to the table with a working knowledge of basic office management software.And if they're not up to speed,then it's their responsibility to get there.And they do.

The second area of concern that employers have about relaunchers is they're worried that relaunchers don't know what they want to do.I tell relaunchers that they need to do the hard work to figure out whether their interests and skills have changed or have not changed while they have been on career break.That's not the employer's job.It's the relauncher's responsibility to demonstrate to the employer where they can add the most value.

Back in 20xx I started noticing something.I had been tracking return to work programs since 20xx,and in 20xx,I started noticing the use of a short-term paid work opportunity,whether it was called an internship or not,but an internship-like experience,as a way for professionals to return to work.I saw Goldman Sachs and Sara Lee start corporate reentry internship programs.I saw a returning engineer,a nontraditional reentry candidate,ap* for an entry-level internship program in the military,and then get a permanent job afterward.I saw two universities integrate internships into mid-career executive education programs.

So I wrote a report about what I was seeing,and it became this article for Harvard Business Review called "The 40-Year-Old Intern." I have to thank the editors there for that title,and also for this artwork where you can see the 40-year-old intern in the midst of all the college interns.And then,courtesy of Fox Business News,they called the concept "The 50-Year-Old Intern."

So five of the biggest financial services companies have reentry internship programs for returning finance professionals.And at this point,hundreds of people have participated.These internships are paid,and the people who move on to permanent roles are commanding competitive salaries.And now,seven of the biggest engineering companies are piloting reentry internship programs for returning engineers as part of an initiative with the Society of Women Engineers.Now,why are companies embracing the reentry internship?Because the internship allows the employer to base their hiring decision on an actual work sample instead of a series of interviews,and the employer does not have to make that permanent hiring decision until the internship period is over.This testing out period removes the perceived risk that some managers attach to hiring relaunchers,and they are attracting excellent candidates who are turning into great hires.

Think about how far we have come.Before this,most employers were not interested in engaging with relaunchers at all.But now,not only are programs being developed specifically with relaunchers in mind,but you can't even ap* for these programs unless you have a gap on your résumé.

So let me tell you what happened with Tracy Shapiro.Remember that she had to tell everyone she knew about her interest in returning to work.Well,one critical conversation with another parent in her community led to a job offer for Tracy,and it was an accounting job in a finance department.But it was a temp job.The company told her there was a possibility it could turn into something more,but no guarantees.This was in the fall of 20xx.Tracy loved this company,and she loved the people and the office was less than 10 minutes from her house.So even though she had a second job offer at another company for a permanent full-time role,she decided to take her chances with this internship and hope for the best.Well,she ended up blowing away all of their expectations,and the company not only made her a permanent offer at the beginning of 20xx,but they made it even more interesting and challenging,because they knew what Tracy could handle.

as students,we could share more time with our friends.the friendship in our young hearts is pure,fresh and simple.i often feel very lucky to have a lot of good friends.especially when i had justin as one of my best friends.justin was my english teacher from the usa.i met him in 1996 when i was a student who could only speak very little english.justin was a vivid young man with a bright smile on his face,and he always had his special way to make the class active and attractive.he taught us english by telling stories,playing games,singing songs,and even dancing.i could still remember very clearly that one afternoon when we fin-ished our class,we went to some other classes to sing songs for them,just like what people do in the states on christmas eve.it was so interesting and unforgettable.justin was an excellent teacher,because he taught us not only how to study english well,but also the way to find out the beauty of the world and the way to be angels to others' lives.i know there was friendship and pure love in our hearts.facing this valuable emotion neither nationality nor age was important,the real importance lay in faith,under-standing,and care.justin is the best friend i have ever had,and i know i will cherish those days of staying together with him as the best part of my memory.

As a correspondent of the Qingdao Morning News,I visited Dr.James Gilman,the President of the International Commi* for Marco Polo Studies in England.In this picture,this is James,and this is me and we are looking at a dragon’s tooth.This is a true story.
65 years ago,James lived in Qingdao.Then he was only 5 years old.He often visited the Aquarium and was fascinated by a creature on display there,which he thought was a dragon.He was afraid of its sharp teeth and wanted one to keep as a treasure.
In the late 1930s,when the Japanese occupied Qingdao,his family had to leave.On his last day in Qingdao,he ran to the Aquarium and pulled out one of the teeth from the dragon’s mouth.
He kept the tooth for the next 65 years,but the feeling of guilt at having stolen it was there in the background all through his life.It was always on his conscience,and the feeling intensified as he became older.Finally he decided to put right his childish error.In 2002,he visited Qingdao and returned it to the Aquarium with his sincere apologies.He received a warm welcome.
When James visited Qingdao,I accompanied him all the time and reported on his visit.I was dee* touched by his honesty.It has taught me a lot.I think to err is human.The important thing is to have the courage to admit and correct one’s error.

高三这一年，对老师和学生来说都是一次磨砺，虽然辛苦，但收获颇丰。在此我谈谈对复*备考的一些想法和做法。阅读理解、完形填空、书面表达三个大题在高考试卷中分值比重大，也是多数学生的薄弱环节。因此，我把它们列为高三教学的重点和难点。
一、注重技巧，突破完形填空
针对完形填空题的特点，我注重培养学生的解题技巧：
1、快读全文，整体理解全文大意。
在不看选项的情况下，快速阅读整篇文章，了解全文大意。考生要认真、重点理解句子意思，了解文章背景，理清文章内容的线索。在快速阅读过程中，不要急于动笔选择答案，要一口气读到底，遇到不懂的地方先跳过去，继续往下读，以求纵观上下文，获得对文章内容的整体理解，从而确定判断选择的基本思路，切忌看一句选一题。
2、细读短文，选择答案，上下文联系，通篇考虑。
3、在做题时，如遇到一题确实答不出，可先跳过去往下做，很可能下文中就有了上题的暗示或者信息。
4、对于有些题，不要去钻牛角尖，用常规思维去思考，不要把问题想得太复杂。
当然，要突破完形填空这个难关，我要求学生必须坚持强化训练，日积月累，认真对待，熟能生巧。
二、大量阅读，突破阅读理解
大量阅读，广泛接触各种题材、体裁的文章，是提高阅读能力的前提和基础，是保证阅读能力向质的飞跃的关键。没有足够的`阅读量，就无法掌握阅读技巧，提高阅读水*。
首先，在阅读时要首先注意内容的广泛性。
其次，在阅读中，要慎重选材。选材适合学生程度，能激发学生的兴趣和阅读积极性。有些老师只考虑到扩大词汇量和迅速提高解题能力，一味偏重选生词多的文章和出难题，其结果往往挫伤了学生的积极性，这对提高能力极其不利。
另外，在大量阅读的基础上不断地总结经验教训，逐步地使同学们养成达标的阅读速度和具备娴熟的阅读技巧。
在实践中，我着力于培养学生五个方面的能力：
1、快速的浏览能力；
2、巧妙的猜词能力；
3、独立的分析能力；
4、准确的捕捉主题句的能力；
5、合乎逻辑的判断能力。
学生掌握了这些阅读技巧，就如虎添翼，具备了较好的自学能力。即使毕业以后，在学*和工作中他们也将会受益无穷。
三、提高水*，突破书面表达
书面表达中的基础写作是*似于翻译的“写五句话”，要求学生从表达信息的角度组织文字，而且将信息嵌入英语特定的框架（即句型结构）中。它的完成有赖于坚实的语言基础知识和正确的语言表达*惯。有的学生不敢动手，有畏难情绪，表达不准确，辞不达意，文章条理不清，不*惯用英语思维。为了改变这种现象，我们在高三复*时注意了这么几个方面：
无论哪种文体的写作，都离不开基本的、常用的词、词组和句型。换句话说，有了基本的词、词组和句型，一般的交际内容就能表达了。英语教学大纲规定，学生到高三阶段时要求能掌握三千左右的常用词，掌握住这些常用词、词组和句型，基础写作就有了基本保证，也达到了大纲的要求。
简单句只要能正确地传递信息，达到交际目的，就是好句子。尽量使用简单句可以少出错误。
目前中学生英语作文能力相对低弱，这是长期以来重知识、轻能力的倾向所造成的。为了提高书面表达能力，加强各种体裁的短文写作很有必要。考试说明规定任务型写作既有可能是议论文，也有可能是记叙文。因此，比较全面地进行各种体裁的练*势在必行。

针对学校规模扩大，新教师比例不断上升的实际情况，学校不断加强对新教师教育教学指导培训工作。
落实“新教师宣誓”制度，每位新进教师在走进课堂前都要进行宣誓，从思想上感悟到从教是一项光荣和神圣的事业。

三、建立机制，激发教师工作热情
做好本校教坛新秀的评比工作。学校定期举行教坛新秀的评比，通过教研组在组内预先选拔，推出候选人参加全校评比。由校领导和各教研组组长组成的`评审团，采取现场听课，现场讨论，现场打分的方式，公开、公正、公*的选出蒙城一中教坛新秀，并给与一定物质和精神奖励。
继续办好奥赛班。安排好数学、物理、化学、生物及计算机竞赛辅导工作，确保学校奥赛成绩有较大突破，为国家培养尖子人才。对带领学生在奥赛中取得优秀成绩的老师，学校给以重奖。
做好学生评价老师工作。对每一学年学期结束，学校安排学生统一对任课老师进行评价，只有学生满意率达到一定标准，该科老师才能跟班走，对于学生反对率特别高的教师，学校将对其停课一年，安排其进行继续教育或调整岗位，如在规定时间不能达到学校要求，坚决给予辞退。对于在当年高考中成绩比较突出的班主任，学校在新学年班主任安排中给予优先考虑。
鼓励教师继续深造。对于学成后愿意继续回校任教的，学校将对其深造费用按照一定比例给予报销，提高了教师学*的热情。鼓励教师撰写论文，总结教学教研成果，对获奖较多，获奖层次较高的给予表彰，形成了良好的教科研氛围，并取得了一定成绩。*年来，我校在优质课评比中，获国家级奖励一人次，省级奖励五人次。现有省级课题四个，发表省级以上论文20余篇。

四、真抓实干，重视毕业班工作
在搞好全校教学工作的同时，重点抓好新校区毕业班工作。坚持对高三毕业班“早抓、实抓”的原则，明确升学目
标，制订可行的年级工作计划及学科复*计划。做好自身月考工作，并根据需要，与其他学校进行联考，及时发现教学过程中问题，及时改进。对每次月考成绩，学校专门抽出半天时间从整体、单科以及与前一次成绩、临班成绩相比较等各个方面进行分析、总结，并把结果转发给全体毕业班教师，用于指导下一个月的复*工作。
组织高三各学科教师分批分期参加高考信息会，带领骨干教师到省内外成功的学校去参观学*，了解外界信息，开阔自身视野，拓展思路。积极开展各学科组的集体备课活动，吃透高考说明，研究高考命题，探讨高考试题的解题方法，指导高考复*工作。
我校*几年在上级有关部门的关心指导下，教育教学成绩稳步提高，不断扩大在皖北的知名度。但不可否认的是，我校也出现了制约进一步发展的诸多因素，比如学校规模的扩大与配套设施不足的矛盾，全县人民对优质教育的极大需求与教育教学容量有限的矛盾，教育师资队伍年轻化与师德建设不同步的矛盾，一百多名没有编制的教师与校财政紧张的矛盾，学校要求教师队伍稳定性与个别优秀教师流失的矛盾，新形势下新课改的新要求与较陈旧的教学方法的矛盾，学校要求生存半径的扩大与制度束缚的矛盾等，这就要求我们在发展的过程中，不断发现问题，寻求破解问题的方法与措施，力争使学校能够健康、快速、持续发展，也希望能够通过这次教育教学视导，得到各位领导、专家对我校不吝指教，欢迎提出宝贵的批评建议，使我校能够集思广益，进一步发现问题，并得到解决问题的有益启迪，为更好的做好我校教育教学工作，打下良好的基础。谢谢大家!
教而后知不足、台上一分钟，台下十年功。 以前曾有人对我说过，当一名好教师很不容易。慢慢地，我相信这话不假。我非师范专业毕业，却在工作几年后逐渐转为一名专职的高中英语老师。从教数年，本人在这个领域里不断学*、实践、思索、改进，现在谈谈自己在高中英语教学中的一些心得体会和对教育教学的初浅看法，与同行们进行分享交流。我觉得，本着对学生和本职工作负责的精神，一名教师应做好两方面的事情：做人与做事的修养和教学知识与技能的修炼。
一、做人与做事的修养
现代社会中，教师的角色更加多样化，不仅社会角色增加，职能角色也变得多元化，频繁的角色转换和多方面的角色期望，使得教师的角色冲突时常发生。面临日益激烈的竞争和各方面的压力，如果教师不能对自己的心理状态及时做一些适当的调整，就可能造成心理障碍或心理疾病。随着社会的发展，教师的心理健康越来越重要，这不仅关系到教师自身的健康水*，也会影响到学生的心理健康水*。笔者认为，在做人与做事修养方面，教师除了育人，还要育己，自觉提高自身素质修养，才能保证教育教学质量和人才培养质量。
亲其师，信其道，学生对学科、对老师的好恶等非智力因素对学生的学*起到很大的影响作用。新的课程标准也将学生的情感态度列为重要的教学目标之一。在课堂上，老师为人处事的态度和方式对学生起着实实在在的影响。比如老师敬业的精神、待人真诚和关心爱护别人的品格，将为学生的一生树立楷模；老师穿着整洁得体、精神放松、沉着自信、神情自然、说话亲切，学生上课将感觉到安全和舒适。而一位经常带着不良情绪、动辄发怒生气、喜欢抱怨骂人的老师，将为学生不齿和厌恶，学生又怎会喜欢听他的课、积极跟他配合？人无完人，作为老师的我们也一点都不例外。不能总是看到自己的优点，而要多想想自己的不足。学校一位年长的老师曾经这样启发我。确实，学生是老师的一面镜子，从学生的反应上我们可以看到自身的不足。要改进自己，首先就要有意识、有勇气地省察自己的不足，然后对症下药去弥补或纠正，而不应该刻意去回避或掩盖。虽然到了教师这个位置，我们自身的成长并未停止，俗话说：活到老，学到老，做人和做事是一辈子的事情。哪怕是已经做得很好了，也要依靠勤奋和谨慎保持良好状态，抛弃一劳永逸、坐吃山空的错误思想，严格责己，承担作为一名教师应尽的责任和义务。
教书育人，为人师表，教师承担着教书与育人的双重任务，不仅要向学生传授学科知识与技能，而且要正确引导学生做人、做事。不少人简单地认为，一个人只要懂什么、会什么就可以教什么，教师不过是吃开口饭而已，没什么了不起。这种认识实在可悲，更可悲的是一些已经做了教师的和准备做教师的人也有这一类糊涂的认识。自己知道、自己会的与将其转化为他人知道、他人会的，从某种意义上讲其实是两码事，这之间有一个如何有效地转化的问题，有一个如何促进人的发展的问题，有一个如何保证受教育者的身心健康愉快的问题。因此，教师应该重新确定自己的角色，并根据新的角色要求和社会的期望去进行自我协调和自我修炼，提高教育教学专业意识和角色参与能力。在此基础上形成自己正确的教育观念、教育理想与信仰以及教育价值取向，这样才能有合理的教育行为和正确的教育态度，才能在发挥学生的主体性和能动性、组织教育教学活动，培养学生人格和才能等方面发挥恰当而有效的主导作用。
二、教学知识与技能的修炼
笔者认为，教师的教学知识与技能应该包含几个方面：一是丰富的、超越所教学科范围的科学文化方面的知识和经验；二是扎实的学科专业知识和熟练的学科专业技能；三是教育学方面的知识、智慧与教学方面的能力和经验。丰富的科学文化知识是教师满足学生强烈的求知欲和得心应手地从事教书育人工作的基础；扎实的学科专业知识和熟练的学科专业技能是教师教好所教学科的起码条件；相关的教育学方面的知识、智慧与教学方面的能力和经验是教师把自己所知转化为学生所知、把自己所能转化为学生所能的一套独特的智慧的和艺术，是教师自己所知和自己所能本身所不能代替的。
通过以上论述，无论是从教师劳动本身的内涵来讲，还是从社会教育的发展变化来讲，教师都需要在自己的教学工作中不断地创新和改革，而不能仅是以不变应万变，不能感到自己的工作是在日复一日、年复一年地简单而枯燥乏味地重复着、循环着，甚至把自己的工作仅仅视为一种谋生的手段。作为教师，除了要教会学生学科知识和技能之外，还要时常关注学生的个性成长、人格发展和道德培养，致力于人性化的教育。为此，教师要把培养学生的创新意识和实践能力、自主学*能力、收集和处理信息的能力、分析解决问题的能力、思维和表达的能力、协作交往能力等放在突出位置，勤于探索、不断创新，不断充实和完善自己的教育教学能力，不断取得良好的教育教学效果，将教育教学工作做成一件虽然辛苦但也充满快乐和享受的事情，做一名受社会肯定、让学生尊敬和喜爱的优秀教师。
我从事英语教学已经有许多年了工作，从教以来，多数情况下，所带班级为基础较好的班级，但是目前所带的是高二年级四班是目前高二年级最差的班，学生不但英语基础差，其它的学**惯也很差，学*的目的不明确，加之，中间频繁的更换英语老师，整个班级的英语学*在开学时处于动荡不定的状态。如何应对的英语教学呢？我陷入了沉思，经过自己这一年多的努力，学生学*英语的状况有了很大的改观。这一过程，有欣喜也有忧愁，喜的是自己跟着学生们一点点地在进步，在成长；忧的是在漫漫教学路上总会遇到这样那样的难题。过程虽辛苦，却也很充实，我总结一下这一年的英语教学心得，作为一名英语教师，我觉得这几方面很重要;
第一，创建和谐师生关系，增强教师的人格魅力。 和谐的师生关系是保证英语课堂高质量教学的前提。教育首先应是 温暖的、有人性味的，只有热爱学生、尊重学生，才能使师生心灵相通， 才能使学生“亲其师，而信其道。” 青少年的心理特点告诉我们，这个年龄段的学生“亲师性”较强。 如果他们对某个老师有好感，便会对这位老师的课感兴趣并分外重视， 并花功夫学这门课。反之，如果他们不喜欢某一位老师，产生逆反心理， 也就不愿学这位老师的课。记得第一节上课时，最差的程郑凯和康元龙同学就大声说话，见此状，我并未直接加以制止和批评，而是进行提问，由于在同学面前不会回答问题而丢了面子，接下来的听课就认真了许多，课后，我找孩子谈话，还让他们当英语小组长，他们从未想到我会信任他们，以后上英语课就不在捣乱而是认真听讲，他们和我建立了良好的师生关系。 英语一向是学生学*比较吃力的一门学科。作为英语教师，更需要 深入学生当中，和学生打成一片，了解学生的兴趣、爱好，喜怒哀乐等 情绪的变化，时时处处关心 学生、爱护学生、尊重学生，有的放矢地 帮助学生，从而建立起和谐的师生关系，增加教师的人格魅力，为学生 兴趣盎然地进行英语学*积极创造条件。
第二，转变教学思想，更新教学观念。
随着新一论课程改革的全面启动，构建具有时代特征、促进中学生全面发展的教学模式势在必行。在英语课程教学中，教师也必须适应这一形势，转变教学观念，更新教学思想。首先，教师应该在师生观上实现四个转变：由学生为教师服务，转变成教师为学生服务；由学生围着教师转，转变成教师围着学生转；由学生被当作充塞知识的容器转变成课堂活动的主人；由教师在台上表演（拉大提琴）转变成导演或指挥。总之，要由以教师为中心（Teacher Centre）转变成以学生为中心（Learner centre）。其次，教学观念要实现六个转变：由只研究“教”变为同时研究“学”；由“教决定学”转变为“学决定教”；由“只研究教法”变为“同时研究学法”；由“教法决定学法”变为“学法决定教法”；由“只研究教的过程”变为“同时研究学的过程”；由“教的过程决定学 的过程”变为“学的过程决定教的过程”。
第三，丰富教学形式，增强学生的学*兴趣。
教学有法，教无定法。英语课堂教学必须改变一味以书本、教师为 中心的传统形式，从实施素质教育的高度出发，通过多种教学形式，将学生学*能力的培养有机地 渗透到整个教学过程中去。为此，教师应努力探寻行之有效的教学方法和手段，营造丰富多彩的教学氛围，充分调动学生学*的积极性。如重视问答式、讨论式教 学，变单向传播过 程为师生共同探索求知的双边活动过程；设置问题情境，使学生在发现问题和解决问题的过程中得到提高；重视引导、激发学生的学*动机和兴趣，并指导其学*的方法和途径，培养自学能力。同时利用网络、多媒体、PPT、微课视频等多种教学手段，从听、说、读、写不同的角度展开语言 知识和技能的训练，使学生 的各种感官始终处于兴奋的状态中。课堂教学要敢于打破旧模式，选择符合教学规律和适合具体教学情 境相对优化的教学形式，将所教知识化繁为简、化难为易，以获得最佳 的.教学效果。
第四，使教学过程艺术化，提高课堂的教学效果。
教师要把英语教学作为创造性的，给人带来美感的艺术活动来看待，充分挖掘 教学内容和教学形式的艺术性。教师可以利用简笔画、英文歌曲、英语 绕口令和短剧表演等表现形式，增添教学活动的艺术性，使学生获得 足够的审美体验。教师还要注意对课堂教学的调控，使之多变、有高潮、过渡，交替 自然、难易适中，能调动多种感官活动等。另外，教学过程的艺术化还 体现在双方活动的艺术化，以期达到教学相长的和谐局面。
第五，加强高中阶段的外语阅读，提升学生的学*能力。
高中英语要求学生突出语篇、强调应用、注重实际，对听说读写能 力要求很高，特别是读写能力。为此，必须加强高中学生的课外阅读， 才能促进学生能力的提升。 为了获得真正的外语语感和了解所学语言国家的文化、*俗，阅读 内容首先应是原汁原味的外语材料。可以读些短文、诗歌、公文、信件， 分析报刊杂志上的英文原 文。学生通过大量接触外语原文材料，耳濡目染，向大脑输入大量的材料及相关信息，进行分析、理解，进而背诵、记忆，从而达到需要时有用信息的有效输出。在外语教学过程中，加大外语语言材料阅读量是提高学生学*能力的重要途径。
总之，高中阶段的英语教学要借助网络多媒体等现代教学辅助，旨以激发学生学*兴趣。教师必须用新的思想指导教学实践，不断探索，改革旧模式，使英语教学进入一片崭新的天地。
最*进行了高中新教师培训，我很庆幸自己有机会参加这样的培训活动。我认真观看了网上的文本资料及视频资料，学了很多教学理论，听了不少优秀老师的课，也感受了一些专家的精辟点评和讲解。作为一名教师，我受益匪浅。在新课程改革培训中，英语教学专家就各个专题进行了生动的讲解和分析。我认真聆听专家的精彩讲座，积极参与同行们的交流讨论，感到耳目一新，收获很大。专家们的讲座以及优秀课例，使我得以从理论的高度了解新课程改革的必要性和重要性，同时也得以从感性上了解新课程理念下的课堂教学，从而得以重新理性地反省与审视自己的教学观和教学策略。
新课程是一种新理念，新思想，这对我们每位教师来说都是一种挑战，都是一个新的开始，我们必须进行各种尝试，在不断的探索中成长。新课程理念尊重学生的个性差异，关注学生的全面、和谐发展。这次课程改革的显著特点是重视学生的情感、态度与价值观的发展，培养学生终身学*能力的形成。帮助学生形成积极主动的学*态度，以及搜集和处理信息的能力、获取新知识的能力、分析和解决问题的能力、交流与合作的能力。在教学上，主张改变以教师传授为主的教学方式，多进行探究式教学，倡导师生互动、共同发展。在学*方式上，倡导学生转变被动接受学*方式，更多地采取主动参与、积极探究、勤于动手的学*方式。在新的教学方式下，教师要由主要的讲授者转变为设计者、组织者、引导者和合作者，要在创设能引导学生主动参与的教育环境，引导学生质疑、调查、探究以及在实践中学*，教师比前要倾注更多的心血。因此，新课程改革对教师提出了更新、更高的要求。
首先，要求教师转变教育教学观念和方式。
从以知识为本向以学生发展为本的教育理念的转变；重新认识高中英语课程的目标和定位。教师要注重学生实际，从学生的学*、生活实际出发，从学生的学*爱好、生活乐趣着手，为学生营造一个轻松愉快的学*气氛，寓乐于教。教师要不断反思和修正自己的教学行为并采取开放的教学姿态，教师之间、师生之间都应加强沟通和交流，共同探讨提高教学质量的途径。
其次，教师必须提高自身专业素质。
新课程对学生提出了更高的综合语言运用能力的目标。教师的综合语言运用能力的高低，直接影响了学生相关的能力的提高和新课程目标的实现。所以，每一位教师都必须不断提高自身的综合语言运用能力。同时，教师还必须学*新的知识，发展新的教学策略，研究如何帮助学生形成有效的学*策略和文化知识，通过英语课程促进学生积极的情感和价值观的形成。作为一名合格的英语教师，他（她）不仅需要具有精深的专业知识，并能熟练地用英语去分析课文，根据英语课程的发展新趋势，将新知识，新方法介绍给学生，以激发学生的求知欲，而且需要广博的其它学科知识，如历史、地理、文学、科技，现代教育学和心理学等。我们只有努力开拓自己的知识视野，不断地吸取他人经验，不断地给自己“充电”、“加压”，不断地增加自己的知识储备，才能够尽可能多地满足学生的需求，更好地促进学生的全面发展，使师生在教学过程中实现教学相长。
第三，教师教学手段应灵活，以创新为主线。
教师在教学过程中或课外活动中所运用的教学手段应灵活多样，如让学生进行单词接龙，句子接龙，英语谚语、名言警句等接力赛，玩文字游戏，猜字谜、猜人物、戏剧表演、故事改编、讨论等表演式活动，又如课后或周末
等利用学校外教资源来开展英语角，英语辩论赛等课外活动，设置不同的表演环境，最大限度地激发学生的主动性的积极性，提高学生的英语思维和表达能力。除此之外，教师应运用多媒体将现代信息技术用于教学，如运用powerpoint制作图片，或下载flash动画等，使要讲的知识内容具体化，使枯燥的语言和语法形象化，让学生边享受边学*。教师应树立起教师、学生、多媒体之间的“新三角关系”，这样一来，教学成果才会事半功倍
第四，教师必须潜心钻研教材。
新课程对于教师来说，是一种新型产品。它的特性，功能需要教师在教与学中体会，去探索适合自己学生的切实可行的教学方法，一切得从“新”开始，也得从“心”开始。所以我们需要为每一个“40分钟”的教学作出数个“40分钟”的准备，要用心备课，钻研教材，才能实现教学目标。教师必须通过教学活动来实现对学生的教育，构建新课程教学观，以学生为主体去设计教学步骤和方法。教师要广泛猎取多方面的知识，选取重点对学生因材施教，能对学生的质疑做到有问必答，对答如流，得心应手。
总之，通过这次高中英语新课程培训的学*，我收获颇丰。每一位教师都需要不断地提高自己的综合语言运用能力，学*新的知识，与时俱进，建立终身学*的观念，发展专业能力和知识能力，以适应现代社会的发展对英语课程的要求。我将本着新课程的精神，踏实、努力地做好我的工作，树立新的学生观和教学观，转变角色，重视学生的发展，尊重学生的情感，鼓励学生的个性，以责任和爱心为学生的成长服务，使自己早日成为一名优秀的英语教师。新课程对我们广大教师提出了巨大挑战，因此我会要求自己在今后的教学中做到与学生共成长，不断追求新的自我。
一直以来很多高中老师都有这样的困惑：学生英语学*基础差，两极分化严重，英语学*没有兴趣、不主动，高中老师英语教学心得。老师们的教学热情也因此逐渐消减。
其实在教学中很多客观问题我们必须承认和面对，比如现实的生源。
只有承认并接受学生的现状，我们才能调整心态，正确地去看待教学问题。不能把教学质量无法提高的原因完全都归结于学生的基础。
我的建议是：
一、热爱英语学*。

二、热爱学生。

专研学生和教材教法，使学生对英语有美好的情感体验，在原有基础上有所提高。学生对英语的爱和进步会给我们带来成就感，会让我们感悟到人生的意义和幸福！
虽然大家可能觉得这三点是老生常谈，可确实是我的'肺腑之言和真切感受。前不久去医院看一位病重的亲人，看到医生护士在她病床前手忙脚乱，看到周围的病人个个气息微弱，我内心受到了深深的触动！医护人员每天面对深受病痛折磨的病人，每天看着人间的生离死别，从事这样的职业该有多大的压力啊！所以那个时候，我就很庆幸我们选择的是教育事业，面对年轻有活力，充满朝气和希望的学生，我们真的已经很幸福了！
最后总结一下，与大家共勉：最重要的是自己的心态和对追求的坚持。
高三这一年，对老师和学生来说都是一次磨砺，虽然辛苦，但收获颇丰。在此我谈谈对复*备考的一些想法和做法。阅读理解、完形填空、书面表达三个大题在高考试卷中分值比重大，也是多数学生的薄弱环节。因此，我把它们列为高三教学的重点和难点。
一、注重技巧，突破完形填空
针对完形填空题的特点，我注重培养学生的解题技巧：
1、快读全文，整体理解全文大意。
在不看选项的情况下，快速阅读整篇文章，了解全文大意。考生要认真、重点理解句子意思，了解文章背景，理清文章内容的线索。在快速阅读过程中，不要急于动笔选择答案，要一口气读到底，遇到不懂的地方先跳过去，继续往下读，以求纵观上下文，获得对文章内容的整体理解，从而确定判断选择的基本思路，切忌看一句选一题。
2、细读短文，选择答案，上下文联系，通篇考虑。
3、在做题时，如遇到一题确实答不出，可先跳过去往下做，很可能下文中就有了上题的暗示或者信息。
4、对于有些题，不要去钻牛角尖，用常规思维去思考，不要把问题想得太复杂。
当然，要突破完形填空这个难关，我要求学生必须坚持强化训练，日积月累，认真对待，熟能生巧。
二、大量阅读，突破阅读理解
大量阅读，广泛接触各种题材、体裁的文章，是提高阅读能力的前提和基础，是保证阅读能力向质的飞跃的关键。没有足够的阅读量，就无法掌握阅读技巧，提高阅读水*。
首先，在阅读时要首先注意内容的'广泛性。
其次，在阅读中，要慎重选材。选材适合学生程度，能激发学生的兴趣和阅读积极性。有些老师只考虑到扩大词汇量和迅速提高解题能力，一味偏重选生词多的文章和出难题，其结果往往挫伤了学生的积极性，这对提高能力极其不利。
另外，在大量阅读的基础上不断地总结经验教训，逐步地使同学们养成达标的阅读速度和具备娴熟的阅读技巧。
在实践中，我着力于培养学生五个方面的能力：
1、快速的浏览能力；
2、巧妙的猜词能力；
3、独立的分析能力；
4、准确的捕捉主题句的能力；
5、合乎逻辑的判断能力。
学生掌握了这些阅读技巧，就如虎添翼，具备了较好的自学能力。即使毕业以后，在学*和工作中他们也将会受益无穷。
三、提高水*，突破书面表达
书面表达中的基础写作是*似于翻译的“写五句话”，要求学生从表达信息的角度组织文字，而且将信息嵌入英语特定的框架（即句型结构）中。它的完成有赖于坚实的语言基础知识和正确的语言表达*惯。有的学生不敢动手，有畏难情绪，表达不准确，辞不达意，文章条理不清，不*惯用英语思维。为了改变这种现象，我们在高三复*时注意了这么几个方面：
无论哪种文体的写作，都离不开基本的、常用的词、词组和句型。换句话说，有了基本的词、词组和句型，一般的交际内容就能表达了。英语教学大纲规定，学生到高三阶段时要求能掌握三千左右的常用词，掌握住这些常用词、词组和句型，基础写作就有了基本保证，也达到了大纲的要求。
简单句只要能正确地传递信息，达到交际目的，就是好句子。尽量使用简单句可以少出错误。
目前中学生英语作文能力相对低弱，这是长期以来重知识、轻能力的倾向所造成的。为了提高书面表达能力，加强各种体裁的短文写作很有必要。考试说明规定任务型写作既有可能是议论文，也有可能是记叙文。因此，比较全面地进行各种体裁的练*势在必行。

65 years ago, James lived in Qingdao. Then he was only 5 years old. He often visited the Aquarium and was fascinated by a creature on display there, which he thought was a dragon. He was afraid of its sharp teeth and wanted one to keep as a treasure.
He kept the tooth for the next 65 years, but the feeling of guilt at having stolen it was there in the background all through his life. It was always on his conscience, and the feeling intensified as he became older. Finally he decided to put right his childish error. In 20xx, he visited Qingdao and returned it to the Aquarium with his sincere apologies. He received a warm welcome.
When James visited Qingdao, I accompanied him all the time and reported on his visit. I was dee*** touched by his honesty. It has taught me a lot. I think to err is human. The important thing is to have the courage to admit and correct one’s error.

Smoking is a greater cause of death and disability than any single disease, says the World Health Organisation.
According to their figures, it is responsible for approximately five million deaths worldwide every year.
Tobacco smoking is a known or probable cause of approximately 25 diseases, and even the WHO says that its impact on world health is not fully assessed.
Heart attack and stroke
UK studies show that smokers in their 30s and 40s are five times more likely to have a heart attack than non-smokers.
Tobacco contributes to the hardening of the arteries, which can then become blocked and starve the heart of bloodflow, causing the attack.
Often, smokers who develop this will require complex and risky heart bypass surgery.
If you smoke for a lifetime, there is a 50% chance that your eventual death will be smoking-related - half of all these deaths will be in middle age.
Smoking also increases the risk of having a stroke.
Lung problems
Another primary health risk associated with smoking are lung cancer, which kills more than 20,000 people in the UK every year.
US studies have shown that men who smoke increase their chances of dying from the disease by more than 22 times.
Women who smoke increase this risk by nearly 12 times.
Lung cancer is a difficult cancer to treat - long term survival rates are poor.
Smoking also increases the risk of oral, uterine, liver, kidney, bladder, stomach, and cervical cancers, and leukaemia.
Another health problem associated with tobacco is emphysema, which, when combined with chronic bronchitis, produces chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

Harm to children
Smoking in pregnancy greatly increases the risk of miscarriage, is associated with lower birthweight babies, and inhibited child development.
Smoking by parents following the birth is linked to sudden infant death syndrome, or cot death, and higher rates of infant respiratory illness, such as bronchitis, colds, and pneumonia.
Nicotine, an ingredient of tobacco, is listed as an addictive substance by the US authorities.
Although the health risks of smoking are culmulative, giving up can yield health benefits regardless of the age of the patient, or the length of time they have been smoking.
Future impact
By 20xx, the WHO expects the worldwide death toll to reach 10 million, causing 17.7% of all deaths in developed countries.
There are believed to be 1.1 billion smokers in the world, 800 million of them in developing countries.

Such as water pollution air pollution and noise pollution and so on. It seems that we live on a planet which is full of pollution. where all these pollution comes from? To a large extend the environmental destruction is the heavy price that we pay for the rapid development of economy and the growing population. In order to have more fuel people cut down trees and dig more corals. But the growing needs for energy are hardly to meet. Countless private cars on the street the gas stations are short of gasoline even the government has raise the price so many times in order to control the needs of gasoline but it’s still not working. Overusing the natural resources has already affected the ecological balance. However the factories still release the toxic air into the sky and the polluted water into the rivers. People still lack of the conscious of protecting the environment. I think it’s time for all of us to do something.
The government should put forward some more strict laws to prevent the environment from being further polluted. And they should let people know more about the importance of environment protection. And we should find the balance between the economic growth and environmental protection. Plant more trees in the deserts and stop cutting down the forest. Forbid the factories to pour the waste water into the rivers directly. Encourage people to use public transportations to work. Both government and ordinary people should join hands together to make our home clean and fresh again. Only in this way our earth could be a better place to live in.
What is friendship? It is to relate with somebody without need for money or objective. It is to need emotion and over wealth is friendship , no matter what their background , age , sex or personality.
Friendship can be pure. We hear , nowdays, however, how one can be cheated by friends. Many people get along with someone because they have a lot of money. It is doultful that is real friendship.
Having friends, one can be find happiness. If you are in trouble your friends will help you through or at least comfort you. When you are happy , they share it with you. They are also there for you to chat with at any time.

take. take. take.. The relationship between a mother and a child always seems to follow such a pattern. I know my mother is always there for me, providing me with everything I need; from food to clothing, from tuition to pocket money. I never thought twice about all she did until one day she said,
Like a child endlessly asking, we humans, throughout history, have been continually demanding what we desire from nature. We enjoy the comfort and beauty of our furniture, yet we never bother to think about the serious soil erosion caused by deforestation. We take it for granted that we must warm ourselves in winter times, yet we seldom realize the burning away of precious natural resources.We appreciate all the prosperity from the development of modern industry, yet few would give the slightest consideration to the global air and water pollution caused by industrial wastes. Our ruthless exploitation has permanently impaired our mother earth.As we tragically learned from last summer's floods. We cannot continue our carelessness. I have a dream
Every one has his own dream.When I was a little kid ,my dream was even to have a candy shop of my own .But now ,when I am 16 years old ,standing here ,my dreams have already changed a lot.
I have got quite different experience from other girls.While they were playing toys at home,while they were dreaming to be the princesses in the story .I was running in the hard rain,jumping in the heavy snow,pitching in the strong wind.Nothing could stop me ,because of a wonderful call from my heart -- to be an athlete.Yeah ,of course ,I'm an athlete,I'm so proud of that all the time .
When I was 10 years old ,I became a shot-put athlete.The training was really hard ,I couldn't bear the heavy shot in my hands .But I always believe that "god only help those who help themselves".During those hard days,I find I was growing more quickly than others of the same age.To be an athlete is my most correct choice.But,I quit my team after entering high school because of a silly excuse.I really didn't want to stop my sports career anyway.
