Many people attributed his crime to his poverty and deficient education. In my opinion, his crime also has much to do with his classmates’ indifference. Indifference is a terrible disease in today’s colleges and the whole society. It’s not rare that two students who have studied together for 4 years have never spoken to each other. It’s not rare that a student who has been absent from class for several days is not noticed at all. It’s also not rare that a student who has severe psychological problems is not cared about at all. As a correspondent of the Qingdao Morning News, I visited Dr. James Gilman, the President of the International Committee for Marco Polo Studies in England. In this picture, this is James, and this is me and we are looking at a dragon’s tooth. This is a true story.
65 years ago, James lived in Qingdao. Then he was only 5 years old. He often visited the Aquarium and was fascinated by a creature on display there, which he thought was a dragon. He was afraid of its sharp teeth and wanted one to keep as a treasure.
In the late 1930s, when the Japanese occupied Qingdao, his family had to leave. On his last day in Qingdao, he ran to the Aquarium and pulled out one of the teeth from the dragon’s mouth.
He kept the tooth for the next 65 years, but the feeling of guilt at having stolen it was there in the background all through his life. It was always on his conscience, and the feeling intensified as he became older. Finally he decided to put right his childish error. In 20xx, he visited Qingdao and returned it to the Aquarium with his sincere apologies. He received a warm welcome.
When James visited Qingdao, I accompanied him all the time and reported on his visit. I was dee*** touched by his honesty. It has taught me a lot. I think to err is human. The important thing is to have the courage to admit and correct one’s error.

It was always on his conscience, and the feeling intensified as he became older. Finally he decided to put right his childish error. In 2002, he visited Qingdao and returned it to the Aquarium with his sincere apologies. He received a warm welcome. When James visited Qingdao, I accompanied him all the time and reported on his visit. I was dee*** touched by his honesty. It has taught me a lot. I think to err is human. The important thing is to have the courage to admit and correct one’s error. Honesty is a vital quality of human behaviour. So we should try to keep an honest mind in everything we say and do. I am writing to express my view on the movie and music piracy. Last year, the Hong Kong Government convicted a person of infringing copyright successfully, who uploaded copyrighted movies to his server and allowed other users to download them. For this incident, I am highly disappointed of the Internet user because they infringed the effort that the copyright owner paid. It is morally wrong to upload or download the piracy music and videos illegally. In addition, this phenomenon means the Hong Kong's intellectual property is being exploited. If this phenomenon continues, it is believed that Hong Kong will not have good music or video anymore.
According to a research from some Universities in Hong Kong, it was found that the different age groups had different reasons of the download or upload the piracy music or videos. The research is divided into two age groups to carry out, a group of teenagers and a group of adults. The research found the reason of most teenagers download or upload the piracy music and videos is that they lack of money and resources. On account of their process of studying, they undoubtedly lack of money and resources to purchase the expensive original CDs or movies. Therefore, the only way they can enjoy the music or videos is to download them from the internet. And for the adults group, the reason is convenient. Nowadays, downloading materials from the internet is very convenient. In addition to the huge resources from the internet, the download time is just for a moment. Therefore, these advantages attracted them to download the piracy music or videos from the internet. They would not go to the store for the original CDs or movies.
In this changing society, many citizens are being turned into criminals sim*** because of the illegal uploading or downloading. As a consequence, the regulations need to be tightening up. And the Government needs to strengthen the law enforcement to crack down on this kind of Internet crimes. For example, formulate new laws to limit the illegal uploading or downloading behavior. Also, the education is significant. No matter how strict the regulation is, if the students are lack of this kind of knowledge, it will surely become a vicious cycle. The criminals will continuously appear in the coming future.
To summaries, if the Government still doesn’t face to this problem, the intellectual property will be disappeared in Hong Kong. All creativity companies will be closed or moved to other countries because of the illegal downloading or uploading. 新教材与初中的教材跨度很大，要求也上了几个台阶，对孩子们具有比较大的难度。细心的家长可能就会发现，高中的课本和初中的课本相比，无论是从词汇量，语法还是课文篇幅的长短都有了明显的区别，初中的内容相当简单，它简直就是三年级知识的巩固，稍微有所延伸，而高一一下子就接触并需要掌握两种时态。所以，有些同学很不能适应，初中学得轻松，还考好成绩，怎么到了高一不行了，这样的现象很普遍，说到底，还是好的*惯没有养成，不够勤奋。在这里，我要点名表扬几位学生，她们学*态度端正，上课认真，书写工整，正因为如此，无论什么考试都能取得很好的'成绩。另外我还要提几个同学，他们的潜力很大，但因为还不够认真刻苦，所以没有发挥出自己最好的水*，希望家长能够配合老师，把孩子的成绩抓上去。我坚信：如果您的孩子在您的支持和我的指导下能够及时完成我布置的任务，那么一定能学好。要教导您的孩子一开始就要有吃苦耐劳的精神。坚持严谨的学*作风，成绩马上就会见效。
目前的形势决定了英语学科的重要性，请各位家长务必重视英语这一学科，你们思想上重视了，无形中也给孩子以熏陶，重视与不重视肯定是完全不同的，在英语课堂上，大部分学生都能很活跃的回答老师提出的问题，积极跟着老师拼读单词，朗读课文。其实这也制造了一种假象，学生认为自己常常被老师提问，认为自己能够回答老师的问题，于是认为自己的英语学得很不错，自我感觉特别好。于是下课后在英语上花的时间就少了。其实要学好英语，课上占40%，其余的60%还需要学生在课后不断的巩固，加深记忆。在课上老师更多的是教授新知识，当然课上也会有少量的时间巩固新学的知识。但是这些时间是公共的时间，而不是每个学生私有的时间，所以不可能照顾到每个学生，不可能让所有学生都达到相同的程度。况且每个学生对新知识得接受能力都是不同的，有的可能当堂就已经有很深的印象，很难忘记，但这肯定是很少的。大部分学生都只能是初步接触了新知识，要真正接受新知识还要学生在课后多下功夫，不然肯定会和别的同学拉下差距。
那么在课后学生到底该怎么做才能把其余的60%补回来呢？英语毕竟不是我们自己的语言，大多数学生除了英语课其余时间根本就不会想到要说英语，所以，在课后一定要主动抽时间为自己补*英语。学好英语，不外乎就是在听，说，读，写这些方面下功夫。
首先说一下听，每个学生都有和书相配套的磁带，可是请各位家长检查一下自己的子女的英语磁带，有多少学生的磁带还是和刚发的时候一样的，根本就没有听过。不要说另外买什么英语听力磁带或者英语学*的碟片了，连自己手头的磁带都不去听，光靠上课听一点点的磁带，学生的听力根本就不能有什么发展。不会听就不能说，而说白了，学了英语就是要说，那不是白学了么？听录音机跟读，目的应该是两种，一种同学是上课没有完全消化，听录音是补充学*的过程，另外一种是提高自己的听力和口语表达能力，要学生尽力地去模仿录音机里的发音，从而使自己的听力和口语都提高一个层次。
接下来是说，英语是一门语言，学了就是要说，要和别人交流。我们学的英语不应该是哑巴英语，要让每个学生学会勇敢地说出来。在课上我会用各种方法来刺激学生，激发他们说英语的积极性，大多数学生也确实做得很好。可是班级里人多，对每个人来说，说的机会就少。所以下课也要说；放学回家也要说。在学校，我鼓励学生把所学的英语对话运用到生活中去，这样有更真实的情景，更能让学生有发挥的余地。在家里，希望家长也能鼓励学生说英语，也许你会说你自己也听不懂，请不要这样想，其实学生需要是你的鼓励，你听了他们说的只要简单表扬一句，他们就会很满足了。有时候你们也可以不懂装懂，或者还可以让学生反过来教你，他们会觉得很自豪，因为自己所学得派上了用场。

新教材与初中的教材跨度很大，要求也上了几个台阶，对孩子们具有比较大的难度。细心的家长可能就会发现，高中的课本和初中的课本相比，无论是从词汇量，语法还是课文篇幅的长短都有了明显的区别，初中的内容相当简单，它简直就是三年级知识的巩固，稍微有所延伸，而高一一下子就接触并需要掌握两种时态。所以，有些同学很不能适应，初中学得轻松，还考好成绩，怎么到了高一不行了，这样的现象很普遍，说到底，还是好的*惯没有养成，不够勤奋。在这里，我要点名表扬几位学生，她们学*态度端正，上课认真，书写工整，正因为如此，无论什么考试都能取得很好的成绩。另外我还要提几个同学，他们的潜力很大，但因为还不够认真刻苦，所以没有发挥出自己最好的水*，希望家长能够配合老师，把孩子的成绩抓上去。我坚信：如果您的孩子在您的支持和我的指导下能够及时完成我布置的任务，那么一定能学好。要教导您的孩子一开始就要有吃苦耐劳的精神。坚持严谨的学*作风，成绩马上就会见效。
目前的形势决定了英语学科的重要性，请各位家长务必重视英语这一学科，你们思想上重视了，无形中也给孩子以熏陶，重视与不重视肯定是完全不同的，在英语课堂上，大部分学生都能很活跃的回答老师提出的问题，积极跟着老师拼读单词，朗读课文。其实这也制造了一种假象，学生认为自己常常被老师提问，认为自己能够回答老师的问题，于是认为自己的英语学得很不错，自我感觉特别好。于是下课后在英语上花的时间就少了。其实要学好英语，课上占40%，其余的60%还需要学生在课后不断的巩固，加深记忆。在课上老师更多的是教授新知识，当然课上也会有少量的时间巩固新学的知识。但是这些时间是公共的时间，而不是每个学生私有的时间，所以不可能照顾到每个学生，不可能让所有学生都达到相同的程度。况且每个学生对新知识得接受能力都是不同的，有的可能当堂就已经有很深的印象，很难忘记，但这肯定是很少的。大部分学生都只能是初步接触了新知识，要真正接受新知识还要学生在课后多下功夫，不然肯定会和别的同学拉下差距。
那么在课后学生到底该怎么做才能把其余的60%补回来呢？英语毕竟不是我们自己的语言，大多数学生除了英语课其余时间根本就不会想到要说英语，所以，在课后一定要主动抽时间为自己补*英语。学好英语，不外乎就是在听，说，读，写这些方面下功夫。
首先说一下听，每个学生都有和书相配套的磁带，可是请各位家长检查一下自己的子女的英语磁带，有多少学生的磁带还是和刚发的时候一样的，根本就没有听过。不要说另外买什么英语听力磁带或者英语学*的碟片了，连自己手头的磁带都不去听，光靠上课听一点点的磁带，学生的听力根本就不能有什么发展。不会听就不能说，而说白了，学了英语就是要说，那不是白学了么？听录音机跟读，目的应该是两种，一种同学是上课没有完全消化，听录音是补充学*的过程，另外一种是提高自己的听力和口语表达能力，要学生尽力地去模仿录音机里的发音，从而使自己的听力和口语都提高一个层次。

学生基础不好，差生又多这样上课一定要设法令学生投入，不让其分心，这就很讲究方法了。教态自然，讲课生动，难易适中照顾全部，就自然能够吸引住学生。所以，我每天都尽量使自己有充足的精神，这样，授课就事半功倍。在备课时我从学生的实际出发，立足学生的现实，精心寻找突破口，设计出不同层次的教学内容，想方设法使每一位同学都能参与到我的课堂教学中来，让他们在每堂课上都有所得。因为英语是一门外语，对学生而言，既生疏又困难，在这样一种大环境之下，要教好英语，就要让学生喜爱英语，让他们对英语产生兴趣。所以在备课中设计出很多调动学生兴趣的活动方式，引发他们的学*积极性。课外辅导与课内讲课相辅相成。
二、认真做好培优辅差工作
学生在不断学*中，出现好差分化现象，差生面扩大，会严重影响班内的学*风气，因此，绝对不能忽视。为此，我制定了具体的计划和目标。对这部分同学进行有计划的辅导。*时懒动脑筋不学的同学，对这些同学，我采取集体辅导，给他们分配固定任务，不让他们有偷懒的机会，让他们发挥应有水*；对于肯学，但由于能力不强的同学。对这部分同学要适当引导，耐心教导，慢慢提高他们的成绩，不能操之过急，且要多鼓励。只要他们肯努力，成绩有望搞提高；对于纪律松散，学*不认真，基础又不好的同学。对这部分人要进行课余时间个别辅导。因为这部分同学需要一个安静而又不受干扰的环境，才会立下心来学*。只要坚持辅导，这些同学基础重新建立起来，以后授课的效果就会更好。在差生的辅导过程中，遇到了很多这样那样的困难，他们基础差，学*中解决困难的心理脆弱，好*惯与教师教给的好方法在实施过程中不能持久，由于惰性心理在做怪，很难将一件好的工作坚持到最后。反复性特别突出。所以在工作过程中，我把握住学生的这一特点，隔三差五就对他们进行一次思想教育，给他们打气，为他们解决问题，从思想和生活上给予帮助，让他们对老师产生信赖感，从而在学*和生活中愿意克服困难，提高自己。
这一工作几乎是差生转化中的最难做而又最见效的。但是由于学生们，尤其是差生的基础实在是太差，想让他们能正常地跟上大部分学生的进度，目前还很困难。
半年的英语教学工作结束了，这是我任教的第一学期，本学期我担任高一年级（1）班和（6）班的英语教学工作，由于教学经验不足，因此，我对教学工作不敢怠慢，每天认真学*，深入研究英语教学方法，虚心向肖老师学*，经过一个学期的努力，我学到了很多宝贵的教学经验，下面我从三个方面总结一下我本学期的教学情况：
一、取得的成绩：
1、备课：教学中，备课是一个必不可少，十分重要的环节，既要备学生，又要备教法。备课不充分或者备得不好，会严重影响课堂气氛和积极性，我明白到备课的重要性，因此，每天我都花费大量的时间在备课之上，认认真真钻研教材和教法，虽然很辛苦，但事实证明是值得的。一堂准备充分的课，会令学生和老师都获益不浅。相反，我没有认真备课的时候，课堂气氛沉闷，教学效果不好，与此相比可见，认真备课对教学十分重要。
2、上课：教师在课堂上的一举一动会直接影响课堂教学，因此上课时一定要想办法令学生投入，不让其分心。如果教师上课所讲的内容丰富且符合现实生活，教态自然，讲课生动，而且难易适中照顾全部学生，就自然能够吸引住学生。所以，我尽可能做到每天都有充足的精神，让学生感受到一种自然气氛。另外，课堂上我还尽可能多调动学生的学*积极性，让学生多动口，多动脑，让课堂气氛活跃起来，充分调动学生的主观能动性,让学生成为课堂的主体，力图让学生学有所得。这样，授课就事半功倍。
3、作业和辅导：*时作业布置适量，有针对性，重点放在句形转换、完成句子，作业都能做到全批全改，并做好评讲工作。对学生的辅导方面，要适当引导，耐心教导，慢慢提高他们的成绩，不能操之过急，且要多鼓励。最后，*时一些无心向学的学生，经过一个学期的耐心教育，学*兴趣明显提高，成绩也有较大的进步。
4、考试：本学期我进行了几次英语考试，每次考试都能做到查漏补缺，从中改正教学方法，也让学生调整学*方法，争取更大的进步。
二、存在问题：
1、课堂中仍有部分学生缺乏锻炼机会，未能充分调动每一位学生的学*积极性，仍有部分学生课堂上不敢开口讲话，一方面的确是知识点欠缺，另一方面，存在怕丢丑的心理。
2、学生在单词记忆上存在障碍，部分同学因为缺乏适当的单词记忆方法，而造成阅读理解上的困难。
3、学生的听力能力有待提高，很多学生在做听力时存在畏惧心理，因此在这种过度紧张的心理作用下反而很难抓住重点信息。
三、改进方法：
1、激发学生学*英语的积极性，培养学生学*英语的兴趣。好的开端是成功的一半，这样入门阶段的课堂教学显得尤为重要，老师应该用直观、形象的教学方法进行教学，使学生感到新颖，有趣味，调节课堂气氛，充分发挥学生的主体作用。鼓励学生大胆地说英语。
2、重视培养学生良好的学**惯。
（1）、首先树立起学生的自信心。初学英语时，多表扬，少批评，通过循序渐进的学*，在学生心中建立成就感。
（2）、正确拼读单词。目的就是要培养学生从单词的拼法判断其读音，从单词的读音雇其拼法的能力，做到“见形知其音，见音知其形”。
（3）、大声朗读语句和课文。在入门阶段要求学生能基本正确地运用语调、单词重音朗读句子，运用正确的语音、语调、停顿、句子重音朗读短文。这就要求学生大胆地说，大胆地读，注意克服畏难、害羞、不敢开口的心理。
（4）、课堂内外多听多说英语。老师要尽量用英语讲课，这样能使学生更多地接触英语。每堂课要用一定的时间让学生用所学过的日常用语和课堂用语进行不同的形式进行对话。也可以结合实物、图片等用英语进行简单的描术。多听录音磁带，要使听和说有机地结合起来，增强学生听的意识和说的能力。
3、注重培养学生的听力能力，*时在课堂上多做一些听力训练，课后让学生多听听力材料，慢慢消除学生对听力的恐惧心理。
期末考试不仅是对学生的考验，同时也是对教师的一种考验，无论成绩高低，都体现了我在这学期的教学成果。我明白到这并不是最重要的，重要的是在本学期后如何自我提高，如何共同提高两班的英语水*。因此，无论怎样辛苦，我都会继续努力，多问，多想，多向前辈学*，争取进步。
学期我继续担任高二(7)和高二(8)的英语教学工作，周课时14节，四个早读，3个晚夜自*。时光飞逝，一学期转眼过去，现将本期工作总结如下：
一、思想上
我一直严格要求自己 不断学* 为人师表，对教育教学有了更深层次的理解和认识，本学期我把收获转化到具体行动上，用专家高尚的师德指导自己的教学工作，每天早读之前早早进班指导学生有效利用早读时间，提高学*效率。利用晚自*和夜自*时间和学困生交流，了解他们思想和学*中的问题，及时给出中肯建议，帮助他们摆脱不良情绪的影响，全身心的投入到学*中去。
二、教育教学上
本学期开始了准高二一轮复*，以词汇为抓手进行基础知识的复*，高考要求学生能灵活使用3500个词汇，所以我利用两个半月的时间把必修一――必修五25个单元的词汇仔细认真的过了一遍，学生先读后默写最后在句子中灵活使用，为高三的一轮复*打下坚实的基础，我利用周三下午的时间随机抽查复*过的所有词汇再次强化记忆。经过*一个学期的重复记忆和练*，学生的词汇量有了明显提高，做题效率和正确率也比以前进步。后半期按照学校要求我开了英语歌曲欣赏课，带领学生欣赏并学唱经典英文歌曲，以歌曲为载体让学生体会不同文化差异，开拓学生视野，学会理解和包容，并通过学唱英文歌曲提升学生英语学*的兴趣，收到了一定的效果。
三、积极参加各种活动
本学期我积极参加了学校举办的各项比赛并参加XX市教育局举办的英语教师基本功大赛，经过第一轮的笔试，第二轮的高考命题比赛，和第三轮的说课比赛，*自己的最大能力，争取在专业成长上不断进步。
在课堂上课时，高中学生是喜欢趣味味的活动，长篇大论是无法吸引他们的注意力的，所以，教师除了知识点的准备之外，认真研究设计课堂活动也是很必要的。预备和高一的教材资料本身就比较生动活泼，所以上课时要多鼓励他们举手发言，进行学生间的配对对话练*，结合课本资料组织一些小范围的调查、猜谜，或者短小的英语小品表演，以提高学生学*的主动性和积极性。
从高一开始，课本课文的形式渐渐与高中模式接轨，但如果上课时也像高中一样重点强调语法知识，那么学生很容易变得思想分散，并且根据高中生的英语基础，无法理解较为系统的语法知识，仅有把语法点结合到令他们感兴趣的操练中，经过多次的重复练*，才能在学生的脑中构成概念。所以，高中的课堂必须要组织的活跃一点，从而让学生能在一个较为简便的环境中掌握更多的知识。
虽然高中学生在学*态度和学*要求方面，与高中生相比，更加能够理解教师和家长的意见和教导，可是，这一年龄段的孩子又普遍存在健忘的毛病：对于课文中的生词和句型，他们有较强的短时记忆本事，可教师们都很明白，过两、三天或一个多星期之后，遗忘程度是百分之百，所以，高中教学的另一个特点就是不断反复。除了把*期所学的课本资料反反复复的经过默写、背诵进行强化之外，在新知识的教授同时，把以往几个学期里所学过的知识点在课堂里有机的结合，进行书面和笔头的训练也是很有必要的。校内除了期中、期末两次综合性的测试之外，每月组织的月考在必须程度上帮忙教师能及时了解学生的知识掌握程度，尤其对高中学生而言，题目难度能够不大，可是重要的知识点的重复出现能帮忙学生加强长久记忆。此外，定期进行单词测试也是有效的手段之一，以此督促学生养成经常温*所学过的词汇的好*惯。
在高中上课还有一个关键点便是如何把握课堂的纪律问题。如同前面提到的，高中的课堂不能过分沉闷，高中学生还未脱离儿童的特性，枯燥单调的讲解必须会使他们对这门学科失去兴趣，这样必然导致学*成绩的不梦想。可是45分钟的课堂时间也不能完全用于活动，过多的活动也会使他们过度兴奋，从而使课堂纪律产生混乱。所以，我们应当把握好尺度，时刻关注学生的情绪变化。

Every one has his own dream.When I was a little kid ,my dream was even to have a candy shop of my own .But now ,when I am 16 years old ,standing here ,my dreams have already changed a lot.
