The villages soon found out from a wise gray-haired old man that the only way to scare the beast away was to set off firecrackers and light lamps and to hang red banners on each door. As the story goes, this was the beginning of a tradition that would last thousands of years.

大年初一 ，我们就开始走东家串西家地拜年。拜年也可以为我们攒点压岁钱。早上起来，爸爸妈妈就会把点心苹果等装出来待客。而我们小孩则到各家去拜年。先是向爷爷奶奶拜年，向他们说些吉祥的话。比方说，祝爷爷奶奶在新的一年里身体健康，万事如意。然后，爷爷奶奶就会说真乖，就开始拿压岁钱。由大到小，然后是到伯伯叔叔家里去拜年。不仅可以攒压岁钱，还可以边玩边吃点心呢。
到了正月初二 ，我们就开始走亲访友。第一家是去外婆家拜年。然后再一一拜访。这种走亲访友的拜年活动一般来说要持续到正月十五，也就是过了正月十五元宵节，正月也就算是过完了。

开始大扫除了，妈妈忙着擦擦洗洗，爸爸擦拭家具，而我是一旁打杂的'。只见妈妈从客厅的玻璃擦起，小心翼翼地蹬上板凳，踮起脚尖由上往下擦。妈妈先一下一下认真地把外面半边的玻璃擦净，接着，心灵手巧的她又想出了对付污点的好办法，先用洗衣粉的水擦一遍，再用青水抹一遍，玻璃顿时焕然一新。而爸爸就没妈妈那么认真，用“打遍天下无敌手”的抹布把家具抹了一遍，但仍干得满头大汗，不亦乐乎。
家里焕然一新，自然少不了添补一些家用电器。我与妈妈来到人头攒动的电器商店，里面还真是热闹非凡啊！有叫卖的商家，有讨价还价的顾客，有拉拢市民的小贩……，看得我眼花缭乱，在那人山人海中，我与妈妈艰难地挪动着步子。瞧，这个商家老板早已喊得精疲力竭，但仍能嘶声叫卖，只见他脸红得跟猴屁股没有什么两样，又小又眯的眼睛可能因为过于疲惫闭成了一条缝。看，那个小贩干脆站到了音响上面，又叫又跳，看他那瞪着眼睛的样子，仿佛我们不去，就会被他一口吃掉。
食品商店内虽然拥挤，但并没那么喧哗，推车、提蓝，我与妈妈穿梭于各种冷冻食品之中，看着那五花八门的食品、水果，一个个都令人垂涎三尺。红得如火的苹果、黄得如金的香蕉、绿得如草的青提……，妈妈比我可有经验多了，每个食品在她那象“食品真假检验机‘的眼睛下保证个个现出原形。
当然此刻还有不少人与妈妈一样悠然自得地挑拣着一年下来的“丰收果实”看她们那神情，仿佛一个个都是这家食品店的老板呢！

当然最吸引我的.还是放鞭炮。看完春晚，我们被外面“五彩缤纷的世界”吸引住了，我和妹妹一家也下楼放鞭炮了。刚下去，爸爸就把我们买的那一大串鞭炮拿了出来，用打火机点着烟花的导火线，只听“砰”的一声，一个小火球直冲上天，“啪”小火球在空中炸开了，飞散的火星点缀得天空绚丽多彩。看到这里，我们手舞足蹈欢呼起来，大家都沉浸在一片欢笑声中。
除夕之夜，真令我难忘！我一定会记住这美好的时刻！
一年中，我最喜欢的节日就是春节了。
大年二十七时，爸爸妈妈带着我一起去帮姥姥炸年货，俗称“过油”。我们炸的有带鱼、丸子、排骨、鸡块、菜角、糖糕等等。炸了一盆又一盆，真是好吃又丰盛啊！
我还跟爸爸一起贴对联，我们撕下旧对联，贴上红彤彤的新对联。看到门上倒贴的“福”字，我问爸爸为什么这样贴，爸爸说：“福字倒贴意味着福到家了。”哦，原来贴对联还有这么多讲究呀！
除夕夜，我们全家在一起一边吃年夜饭，一边美滋滋地看丰富多彩的春节联欢晚会。到了十二点钟，也就是大年初一的凌晨零点，窗外便传来了密密麻麻庆祝新的一年到来的鞭炮声。
过年我最开心的就是可以回奶奶家了。奶奶家那里晚辈给长辈拜年的方式很传统，还要行磕头礼呢！在奶奶家，我跟小伙伴快乐地疯玩，连日记都幸免了几天不用写呢！
过年小孩还能得到压岁钱，当然我也不例外，今年收到了一千多元。我在电视上看到有的小孩收到的压岁钱有两千多，五千多，甚至上万，便开始觉得自己得到的压岁钱少了。妈妈说，压岁钱是长辈给小孩的祝愿，多了并不见得是好事，一定要合理利用才行。
春节，真是一个让人快乐而又留恋的节日呀！
我盼望很久的除夕和春节终于来了，因为在这两天，我又有好吃的，还可以拿压岁钱，还有新衣服穿，多好啊！
除夕之夜，我们全家吃完饭后，我已经再也忍不住了，急忙跑回房间，抱起一堆堆花炮，那起香，像一支离弦的箭，第一个冲出家门口！和哥哥姐姐一起来到了公园，我就立刻点燃了一个花炮，引线喷了出来，“嗦”的一声，在空中绕了一圈后，“啪”的一声，炸开了像一只只蝴蝶，飘飘悠悠的往下落。我高兴极了！
