Chinese Names
Chinese people usually have two word or three word names: the family name, a middle name and the last name.

所以在动笔练*写作之前，我们首先要明白一点：虽然思维转换成语言是瞬间的事情，但是思维本身不是语言。*同学的问题在于，我们的思维转变成中文的速度太快了，快到你自己意识不到这种转换完成了，所以脑海中永远都是成型的中文句子，地道的中文句子。于是在写作的时候，同学们总是面对中文句子，从第一个词开始动笔翻译，最后呈现的是一篇生硬的英语译文，而非英语作文。大家稍微注意一下就会发现：
他的笑话把我给逗死了。
His joke made me laugh to death.
这两个句子的一一对应关系和生搬硬套的文字处理。
思维――中文――英文写作模式最大的危害在于它不允许同学从整个句子的高度来把握句式结构的组织和词汇选择，把同学套牢在和自己的中文斗争，和一个个中文单词斗争的局部战场上。所以说，在进行英文写作的时候，切断思维和中文的连接，让思维，而不是表述思维的中文留在脑海中，是进行英语写作的第一步。
说白了，就是你脑海中有那个意思，没那个句子。
正因为没有，才能够创造，佛经中说的真空妙有也是这个意思，因为茶杯是空的，才能倒进水去，一个被塞满的茶杯貌似充实，其实是最没用。
现在同学们可以尝试用英文对整个句子进行表述，这时候，绝大多数的同学会感到有点儿痛苦。因为你的复杂的思维，丰富的感请，美好的想法要用一种陌生的语言表达出来，是很吃力的。这是正常而且真实的情况，因为这是你第一次甩掉中文的拐杖独立用英语写作。
让我们一起来试试。还是那个句子：
他的笑话把我给逗死了。
我们放弃对“逗死”这个词汇的对译，感觉一下，其实就是他的笑话很精彩，我很愉快。因为一种娱乐活动而感到快乐，我们就能找到amuse这个词汇了。还有一个词是entertain，也接*这个意思，但那是综合的被娱乐而满足的意思，没有哈哈大笑的传神感觉，所以我们还是用amuse这个词。
Amuse是一个动词，它的分词形式是同学们非常熟悉的，一个是amused，一个是amusing.在这里两个词都可以用。
然后再来看看逗死的死怎么说。按照字面就是die，一个笑话，字字见血，这太可怕了。其实死在这里无非表示一种很深的程度而已。这个意思我们掌握有quite，rather等一系列词汇。
现在难点解决了，让我们用amused写这个句子：
I was quite amused by the joke he just told.
同学们注意到这是一个比His joke made me laugh to death这种人鬼情未了式的句子正常多了的一个表达。为什么我们一开始写不出来呢？让我们把它字字对译到中文：
我是很被逗乐被那个笑话他刚告诉。
这的确是中文，但不是人话。所以同学们永远也不可能在脑海中形成这么一句中文句子，没有“我是很被逗乐被那个笑话他刚告诉”这样的中文句子，对译型同学就无法写出“I was quite amused by the joke he just told”这样的被动句子。
事实上，绝大多数英文的`被动表达在中文中都特别奇怪。比如常见的“sb”s son was born“，这是一个被动语态，用中文的被动来表达就是”某人的儿子被生了“，这几乎会让同学们忍不住产生”是谁干的“这样的问题。
同学们之所以不太能够在写作中自如地使用被动句子，思维――中文――英文的错误写作*惯就是主要的原因之一。
纠正这个*惯就要随时在英语写作训练上注意克服对中文的依赖。*惯是由于重复而产生的，也只能通过更多次的重复去消除掉。你练*中文，使用中文已经很长时间了，中文对你来说是一种强势的语言，思维到中文最轻松，最快捷，最不假思索。而我们就是要把这个不假思索的过程停止，重新去审视，阻断和剥离掉中文的影响，才能让写出的英文句子地道，纯净，优美。
同学们如果使用amusing来重写上述的例句，就能发现，其实不*惯使用形式主语也是因为类似的原因。
如何动手写英文，是一个宏大的问题，以上所及的只是其中一点。还有学会使用高级表达，学会选用合适表达，阅读积累，对比写作等一系列问题，篇幅所限，不能一一提到。
写作是纸上的行走，是用笔在纸上和读者们交流，和读者们说话，好的写作是用心的，好的写作其实就是“有话好好说”。

I don't think that animals should be trained to amuse human beings, because animals are our friends. Is there anybody will train their friend to amuse themselves?Of course not. In some area, there are many things are beyond humans ability, but animals are able to do then. Throughout history, humans have relied on animals traits to get certain job done. For example, we make use of dogs’ sensitive sense of smell to track down odors to help us in finding things which is difficult for humans to do. We also train sea lions to carry video cameras on their backs to record the natural behavior of whales. Because humans could never dive to the depths at which whales swim but sea lions can.
During our daily life, we also need animals to help us to do some things that are not necessary to do by ourselves. For example, we train monkeys to take care of the quadriplegics, train dogs to lead the blinder as guiders and so on.
In a word, we need animals’ help; animals should be trained to help humans. But animals also have emotions, so when we train them to help us, we shouldn’t regard them as slaves, but friends.
Animals Need Protecting
Animals are natural resources that people have wasted all through our history. Animals have been killed for their fur and feathers, for food, for sport, and sim* because they were in the way. Luckily, some people are working to help save the animals. Some groups raise money to let people know about the problem. And they try to get the governments to pass laws protecting animals in danger. （1）选用比较有把握的词汇，用恰当的.句型写出确切反映内容要求的句子。在熟悉的基础上，鼓励多用高级词汇和结构复杂的复杂句。如表达“为了……”时，可用inorder to do 或 so as todo.也可用sothat引导目的状语从句。
（2）写出的句子要达意，完整，语法正确，合乎*惯，特别是句式、谓语动词形式要有根有据。

连词成句，添减相宜
单句写出后，根据短文的内容要求，确定先写什么，后写什么，按照表述内容的情节发展和实际需要，重新排列组合已写成的句子，划分必要的段落，一般分成三段。
即：文章的开头（Introduction）、文章的主体(Mainbody)和文章的结尾(Conclusion).这样写成文章的初稿。在连词成句的过程中，还要注意以下几点：
（1）句子或段落间的连接不仅仅是个语言问题，也是个逻辑思维方面的问题，这两者是不能分开的。能注意到这一点，你的文章就能达到条理清楚、层次分明的境界。
（2）为了使句子或段落语义连贯，表达合理准确，可以适当加入一些连接词语。如表达转折可用but,however,otherwise等，表达递进可用and,also,besides,Whatsmore等，表达因果so,therefore,asaresult等，表达对比可用atthesametime,meanwhile，while等，表达让步可用though,although,evenif等。有时还需要加入一些必要的过渡句子以达到承上启下的效果。
（3）仔细推敲在文章的哪些地方可用复杂句。切忌生搬硬套，给人一种为了用复杂句而用复杂句的感觉。要用得自然、得体。要顺应行文的需要，与整个文章浑然一体。
尽量使用我们熟悉的宾语从句、状语从句和定语从句。
检查，修改，定稿，誊写
检查修改是进一步减少疏漏提高质量的最后程序，这时要对照题目要求，认真检查以下几点：
（1）内容有无遗漏或误词，最好一一对应检查。
（2）体裁格式对不对。
（3）句子是否有语法结构错误，特别要检查句子中的冠词、代词、名词复数、动词的时态、语态、主谓一致等方面是否有错误。

一、小学英语话题写作的概念

二、英语写作教学的目的

四、注重写作策略的指导
1、“联系”和“迁移”
在写作课“zoo animals”上，我让学生讨论这个主题可以涵括的内容，要求学生在已有的词汇、句型中进行分析，提取相关信息，再综合运用。实际上就是要求学生联系所学知识，是对学生分析综合能力的训练。这时候，学生认为这足以能指导完成写作了，他们的思维通常到这个阶段就停滞不前了。但教师还应该培养学生迁移的能力，即把这种思考方式迁移到其他内容的写作上去，做到举一反三。
2、注意英汉差异，正确使用英语表达法
许多学生写英文短文，都*惯用汉语去思考。结果写出来的句子，读起来很拗口，句意生硬，令人费解。其原因就在于学生不明白英汉两种语言表达上的差异。例如，汉语中没有时态和语态的复杂变化，只借助于助词“着，了，过”；而英语则有复杂的时态和语态变化。再如，英语中名词分（1）可数名词———单数名词———复数名词--规则名词复数的变化；不规则名词复数的变化（2）不可数名词：water furniture , advice （3）名词单复数相同：sheep , deer , fish （4）既能可数又不可数的名词：hair , wood , pa?鄄per , rain , sand 。动词短语，介词短语等一些固定搭配，动词与其主语的一致，称谓的一致，等等。这些差异只要通过不断的积累和运用，才能逐步达到恰到好处。英语写作才能更规范，更标准，更符合英美人的表达*惯。

3. 应用了较多的语法结构和词汇。
4. 语法结构或词汇方面有些许错误，但为尽力使用较复杂结构或较高级词汇所致；具备较强的语言运用能力。
5. 有效地使用了语句间的连接成分，使全文结构紧凑。
从每年的考试情况来看，很多同学能完整地按照要求把文章写出来，但得分却较低。实际上，高考英语书面表达是一个分值颇高且易得分的题型，只是很多同学没有掌握得分技巧。下面我们一起看看怎样才能让高考作文“拽”起来。
一、几点重要原则
1.智者利用押题，傻子依赖押题!
2.书面表达整篇背诵绝无必要，可以以看读为主，关键是从中汲取一些常用的词汇和表达，并能得体熟练地运用。考场上应变能力很重要!
3.英文写作模仿很重要。有时也很有效。但不能过于牵强，尤其是对一些长难句的刻意模仿使用。
4.文似看山不喜*，起承转合一定要有!
5.“见微知著，一叶知秋”，几个亮点足矣：有道是：浓妆淡抹总相宜，作文写得简洁到位要比长篇大论更显功力。
6.心不为形役。不要身陷逐字逐句“英汉对号”式的字面翻译，要把表达的主动权始终握在自己手里。
二、善用万能句以不变应万变
历届高考，书面表达考得最多是提示作文，即提供一定的情景内容，要求考生完成100词左右的短文。
从命题方式看，有短文提示、要点提示、图画提示、情景提示以及图表提示等；体裁以应用文为主，记叙文为辅：题材为广大中学生所熟悉的日常生活。从提供要点的情景方面看，历届高考书面表达题均属供料小作文，采用文字供料或文字说明加图画(图表)的方式供料。
备考时，同学们要利用有限的时间把以前背的范文整理一下，从中选出不同体裁、不同题材的范文各一篇(范文以高考真题的高分作文为佳)，把它们重新记忆，一定记牢。这样，高考时不管什么样的文章都可套用背诵好的格式。避免考场上因紧张而无章可循。
最后阶段，还要总结一下写作时常用且能出彩的固定句型、句式，比如强调句型、定语从句、名诃性从句等，牢记英语的五个基本句式，背诵*时老师总结的万能句。以不变应万变。
考场答题前，应仔细审题，研究所提供的文字和图画(图表)材料和作文要求。分析、提炼要点，理顺要点，确立基本的写作思路，不要忽略任何一个词。关键的词更不能遗漏，构思好写几个方面，缺一不可。
写作时，尽量用学过的英语句型和词组。少写长句和复杂句以免弄巧成拙、漏洞百出。但目前高考有关书面表达的评分标准要求作文中应有“较多的语法结构和词汇”，因此同学们在书面表达中不能都写小句、短句和单句，还要正确运用高级词汇和复杂结构。恰当运用过渡词，使写出来的文章含金量更高，更具可读性。
三、高分作文六大特性
1.条理性。指的是合理安排文章结构。首先，在文章思路、组织材料、叙述顺序等方面要有一定的条理性。其次。根据需要，安排好段落，各段之间要层次分明，也要重视每一段的开头和结尾，开头语往往是总起句，结尾语往往是总结句。
2.准确性。指要求写出语法正确的句子，包括时态、语态、用词和句法等，要准确、地道地表达。必须要牢牢掌握一些常用句型或*惯表达，避免中式英语，在实践中不断总结中英用法的差异，养成用英语思维写作的*惯。
3.流畅性。指根据整篇文章思想的需要，有效采用不同的连接手段，使文章层次清楚、行文连贯。
4.简洁多样性。简洁性就是语言简洁，不重复。多样性就是能随情景内容的变化写出句式多样的语句。这也是新课程标准对写作的评价标准。
5.思想性。新标准对写作的要求，增加了情感因素，在准确流畅表达写作要点的同时，适当增加句子的感情色彩，增加一些人情味，使文章读起来更亲切，完全达到与读者进行交流的目的。
6.美观性。指的是卷面书写规范、清楚、干净、整洁。
四、怎样才能有‘拽”的感觉
1.高考写作的实质——变相考查句型与词汇的灵活应用
英语写作不同于语文作文的写作，如果说语文作文是一个自由发挥的舞蹈，那么高考英语写作就是带着枷锁在跳舞。我之所以这样来形容，是因为高考英语写作的内容都已经通过文字、表格、图片这三种形式给定，内容方面，不需要学生进行发挥，大家所需要发挥的就是不要老去给这个不变的内容穿毫无变化的校服(简单句)，而要去穿一些不一样的衣服，让它显得不那么单调，让阅卷老师能看到不同，而那些所谓的衣服也就是多变句型与词汇。
2.写作的评分标准——怎么去迎合评卷老师的胃口
我了解到目前很大一部分学生的'作文都处在15分左右，写作满分25分，15分也就是个及格分，那么15分和20多分的作文到底差在哪里?这个问题很容易回答。15分的作文中规中矩，该对的都对，包括内容要点的完整，语法与词形的正确，但是全都是简单句子的堆砌，没有任何亮点。而20多分的作文在句型词汇方面就做了很好的包装，它的句子穿的衣服已经不是校服，而是李宁、耐克，或者是阿迪，所以让人觉得很“拽”，而高考英语写作要的就是这种很“拽”的感觉。
3.写作提分的三要素——句型。连词。高级词汇
句子是我们写作文最大的单位。有了漂亮的句子。用好的连词将其连句成段，再加上一些如星星般亮点词汇的点缀，一篇好的高考英语作文就诞生了。而这三个因素中最容易把握的是句子，最难的是高级词汇，限于大家的词汇还比较有限。一篇文章中出现那么一两个就够了。我们应该把重心放在句型上，因为这个最容易把握。
但是大家又有这样的困惑，学校里老师也给了我们很多的句型啊，动辄成五十上百句的，大家背得挺多，但是面对考试的时候，发现背的那些怎么也用不上。其实不是那些东西没有用，而是它们太干了，就好比一根干骨头，大家嚼起来很没有味。也不知道该把它们往哪里放。
在这里我给大家提供一种比较切实可行、迅速提高的练*方法，在接下来的时间里只要大家按照这个方法来，就一定会有收获。
找出历年真题，一周只需要写两篇。但是要这么来写。
1.把你要写的内容要点用九到十句的汉语表达出来。
2.逐一地进行翻译，不是用简单句。而是要刻意地去想：
(1)可以用什么样的复杂句；
(2)怎样去避开不会的表达，转义。
例如：
这本书是如此的有趣，以至于我读了一遍又一遍。

这四句译文当中无疑评卷老师最欣赏的是第四句，因为它用了倒装。
4.如何备考
其实这种思维大家都有。但是没有成为一种思路，让它能在考试中起到作用，那是因为大家练得少。英语写作处在一种很尴尬的境地，一方面大家要分数。但另外一方面大家一个学期里写的作文也就是期中期末的两篇。毫不夸张地说，有的学生上了三年的高中可能只写了六篇作文，所以练*是很重要的，要是现在不练而把高考当练*。那么作文只拿14、15分也合情合理了，到那时你不要骂评卷老师不公*，而应该问问自己备考的时候为什么不多练几篇。时间都是挤出来的，希望大家可以挤出时间来练写作。

第二天，老师拿着试卷走进教室开始念成绩时，我自信的.听着，因为我相信我能考好。可念到我的成绩时，我呆住了，因为我竟然只得了865分。我还没反应过来，就听老师说要把成绩拿给家长签名。接着，老师开始讲试卷，我根本没有心思听，脑子里在想;回去怎么向妈妈交代。放学了，上了车，我还在想;到底该怎么办。下了车，我迈着沉重的步子，慢慢地走回家。
回到家，我赶忙冲到自己的房间，再一次拿起卷子，看了又看，想瞒过去。可又想;到底该怎么办。不知怎么的，我突然想起妈妈*日对我说的一句话;失败是成功之母。我终于鼓起勇气，向妈妈的房间走去。
经历了这件烦恼的事，我终于明白了;烦恼只不过是只假老虎，只要你有勇气，再大的烦恼也可以战胜。
On the Importance of Diligence for People's Growth
As is known to all, every man has to work. The life of a lazy man is of no use to himself and to others. The man who is too lazy to work is the man who is more likely to beg or to steal. Every man should be diligent when he is young.
From my point of view，diligence is of vital significance in one's life and career. There are some reasons as follows. Firstly, industrious spirit is an indispensable quality that makes a person stand out, as most people are biologically endowed with the IQ in the similar level, with few being very outstanding or very low. Secondly, diligence leads to
accomplishments while laziness must result in failure. An idle man indulges himself in comforts and he is doomed to fail. Lastly, diligence helps remove ignorance, overcome difficulties, and enlighten the mind.
In one word, I hold the view that diligence is crucial to one‘s life. One must study hard when he is young so that he may make great progress, succeed in life and become useful to his country. Therefore, we say that diligence is the vital ingredient for one's growth.
勤奋的重要性对人们的成长
众所周知,每个人都有工作。一个懒人的`生命是无用的对自己和他人。的人是一个偷懒不做工的人是更有可能请求或偷窃。他年轻时每个人都应该勤奋。

It is a great honor and pleasure to be here in this beautiful morning to share with you my viewpoints about my topic-conquering fear.
About a year ago,I took part in my very first English speech contest.When I stood before the microphone with all eyes starring directly at me,l was too nervous to speak out and just stood there,embarrassed and helpless,struggling in vain for the right thing to say.
After that I lost my courage to speak in public.Once again,my professor encouraged me to take part in an English competition;I said "No."I couldn't endure another painful experience.He told me seriously,"Look,"he said,"we all have our fears,and you have yours.You may twist your ankle in a basketball game,but you should not be afraid to ever play again.Running away can never dispel your fears,but action will.A winner is not one who never fails,but one who never quits."
My professor's words lingered in my mind all that day.Finally l made the bravest and wisest decision of my life:I would face my fears and take part in the competition!
As it turned out,my dear professor was right.Now,here l am,once again standing before a microphone.My heart is beating fast,and my mouth is dry,but most importantly,I have faced my fears and that makes all the dif-ference!

Children’s education has been concerned by the public all the time. As they are the future and will decide a country’s destiny, so the environment * so much to them. Most parents expect the school can provide the children a good learning environment and ignore the importance of home education.
孩子的教育总是受到公众的关注，因为他们是未来，会影响一个国家的命运，因此，环境对他们来说很重要。大多数家长希望学校可以提供孩子们一个好的学*环境，却忽略了家庭教育的重要性。
School provides the children a direct stage to receive education. In the school, the teachers pass knowledge and educate them the right value. The children know their task and as everybody around them focus the attention on study, so they are affected by each other and have the strong desire to learn.

Home education is easy to be ignored by most parents, they think it is the teachers’ duty to educate children. Actually, most criminal teenagers have family issues. Parents haven’t set good example for the kids. Sometimes they are even the trouble makers. Without love, teenagers won’t grow up as the strong people.

Going to high school is my first time to leave home. I have to live in school from Monday to Friday. I like to stay away from my parents for some time, because I can make my own choice and be free to go anywhere. My friends and I like to spend the weekend in the countryside that near the city we live. It is the short travel that I can not only appreciate the beautiful scenery, but also learn to be independent. The things that nature teaches me are a lot. I can see from the color of the cloud to predict the weather and the sound of of animals have different meanings. All of these are hard to know from the books. I have my own thinking from these trips, and the way to take care of myself helps me to grow up.

I believe that my beliefs are changing. Nothing is positive. Perhaps I’m in a stage of metamorphosis, which will one day have me emerging complete, sure of everything. Perhaps, I shall spend my life searching.
Until this winter, I believed in outward things, in beauty as I found it in nature and art. Beauty past—swift and sure—from the outside to the inside, bringing intense emotion. I felt a formless faith when I rode through summerwoods, when I heard the counterpoint of breaking waves, when I held a flower in my hand.
There was the same inspiration from art, here and there in flashes; in seeing for the first time the delicacy of a green jade vase, or the rich beauty of a rug; in hearing a passage of music played almost perfectly; in watching Markov dance Giselle; most of all, in reading. Other people’s creations, their sensitivity to emotion, color, sound, their feeling for form, instructed me. The necessity for beauty, I found to be the highest good, the human soul’s greatest gift. But there were moments when I wasn’t sure. There was an emptiness inside, which beauty could not fill.
This winter, I came to college. The questions put to me changed. Lists of facts—and who dragged whom how many times around the walls of what—lost importance. Instead, I was asked eternal question: what is beauty, what is truth, what is God? I talked about faith with other students. I read St. Augustine and Tolstoy. I wondered if I hadn’t been worshipping around the edges. Nature and art were the edges, and inner faith was the center. I discovered—really discovered—that I had a soul.
Just sitting in the sun one day, I realized the shattering meaning of St. Augustine’s statement that, “The sun and the moon, all the wonders of nature, are not God’s first works but second to spiritual works.” I had, up till then, perceived spiritual beauty only through the outward. It had come into me. Now I am groping towards an inner, spiritual consciousness that will be able to go out from me. I am lost in the middle ground. I’m learning.
