Look at the picture and read after

  me。 Pencil? Is it a pencil?

I like …,I don’t like…

I read a famous American writer Ernest Hemingways novel “the old man and the sea”,very admire kept the will of the novel, he let me know how a man must have perseverance, can succeed. The man is a novel depicts a near the old fisherman, in a single out to sea fishing, caught a big fish, but pull not up. The old fisherman al with fish after a few days, found that this is a more than his several times as big marlin fishing boats, although knowing is hard to win, but still dont give up. Later and because the big marlin wound fish smell drew a few group of sharks rob food, but the old man still would not so give up, eventually beckoning, the big fish back to the fishing port, let the other fishermen to admire.

Not every story can become a classic, after watching Roman holiday", I learned a lot . the princess thirst for freedom. She met Jo Bradley in Rome, finally she had to leave him for her country.

Even the princess also have the life she didnt like, moreover us.

We are all desire freedom .Sometimes, too much work will make us feel tired, we can learn to relax ourselves and enjoy wonderful holidays but after the holidays, we also need to go back to our homes like the princess, and need to take on our responsibility.

  Jane Eyre is a first-person narrative of the title character, a small, plain-faced, intelligent and honest English orphan. The novel goes through five distinct stages: Jane's childhood at Gateshead, where she is abused by her aunt and cousins;

  her education at Lowood School, where she acquires friends and role models but also suffers privations; her time as the governess of Thornfield Manor, where she falls in love with her Byronic employer, Edward Rochester;

her time with the Rivers family at Marsh's End (or Moor House) and Morton, where her cold clergyman-cousin St John Rivers proposes to her; and her reunion with and marriage to her beloved Rochester at his house of Ferndean. Partly autobiographical, the novel abounds with social criticism and sinister gothic elements.

I dont know how long I havent read the original English book. I finally finished reading the Great Gatsby at the end of 20xx. So write down a little personal feeling of reading.

In this book, the author narrates the story in the first person voice and tells Gatsbys short life story. He used a "marvelous" modifier, which is a more life-style name. From the perspective of English, "the great" is very well used.

Its a great experience to transform from a poor household of unknown origin into a rich man. But the luxury of material in his eyes, are not as important as Daisy. Party constantly, the reception of people who do not know, experience everything, just to be close to her. Mingming is very close to each other, but it seems very far away.

Gatsby is a nostalgic person. He thinks that he can go back to the past five years later and live a happy life with Daisys old mirror. However, he overestimates Daisys love for himself. He thinks that she can be happy only when she is with him. In fact, she loves him, but she loves herself more. Gatsby thought that Daisy was too perfect, too idealistic, for fear that she would receive little harm, just like all the people in love, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, and all the shortcomings are advantages. Gatsby, it seems, did not see any shortcomings, only perfect, completely immersed in his own imagination, unable to extricate himself. Love is consistent to this point, so great love, ordinary people cant do it!

Daisy is lucky to be betrayed by her husband Tom, full of insecurity and emptiness. Gatsbys appearance, only for her one person, loves her so dee*, in her luxurious tedious life, ignited the spark. However, meeting Gatsby again is more stimulated by Gatsbys rich and luxurious life. Suppose that Gatsby reappears in her life as a poor person, whether she would like to see him more or have more intersections. She is used to the life of a lady, but also the ideological snobbery, the concept of the rich formed from childhood. Although Gatsby is rich, she seems to be an upstart after all. She cant stand a few words of Toms instigation, and the hereditary rich family is more popular with her. Even if Tom betrayed her, she still chose to live with him and dare not step out of the original life circle.

When seeing the palm extended by gates to the Daisys house on the other side, when seeing Gatsby as nervous and excited as a child because Daisy is going to Nicks house for afternoon tea, when Gatsby let Daisy say she doesnt love Tom in New York, Daisys indecision and Toms slander of Gatsby, Daisy begged Tom to take her home, and he really sympathized with Gatsby.

He loves too humble, in this relationship into too much, can not extricate themselves, stubborn and stubborn. Think of Daisy more than your life. After Daisy accidentally bumped Toms mistress to death, he just waited outside Daisys house to make sure she was safe. His good friend Nick asked him to leave. He had to wait for Daisys phone call, but it was Wilsons shot. But Tom and Daisy still left, when nothing happened, cold and heartless.

Gatsbys death may be a better ending, with his dedication to Daisy. Otherwise, its hard to imagine what his life would be like without daisy. In this way, to keep a perfect image in the readers mind for a long time, to imagine each other and to expect love.

I dont want to mention Gatsbys indifference and depression after his death. Only Nick as a spectators final evaluation is the most touching. In his last chat with Gatsby, the sentence "they are rotten crowd, youre worth the whole * bunch put together" that he left left gave Gatsby a warm feeling in his lonely love seeking life. I was very moved to see it. Gatsbys greatness was recognized and resonated with readers.

Such a dedicated and lovely Great Gatsby is believed to be the dream partner in the hearts of all girls. Its enough to have such a person in life. Finally, a picture of Leonardos Gatsby will be posted. If you are interested, you can see the movie.

At the beginning of the review, I am afraid but I need mention that I read The Great Gatzby from my paper book, not online, so it might be a little strange in the record of my reading history and also the lack of comments.

After reading the novel, I sympathized dee* for Gatzby, who dedicated almost his whole life into pursuing Daisy, but eventually was shot down for Daisy’s fault, and also Nick, who narrate this heart-broken story to us. But I believe that all is destined, not only his success, but also his miserable, dramatic ending.

First, Gatzby meant to be succeed, which was determined by his personality. He was such an absolute perfectionist, fairly speaking, a paranoiac, that he never accept he was inferior to others in all kinds of aspects. He scheduled his life when he was young in order to achieve his goal. He couldn’t live like Tom who dissipated his time on women, also couldn’t like Wilson live so meaninglessly, and his ambition made it impossible for him to be content with common life. After the moment he denied his poor family background, changed his name into Jay Gatzby, he either succeed, or die.

No matter how, he will succeed. I always believe it because his characteristic promised.

And I also believe Gatzby would fall in love with a lady with a celebrated background. Because he was a perfectionist , he must long for a charming, wealthy, graceful aristocracy. Daisy was just a representation of perfection, a concrete thing in his dream.

However, Daisy falls far short of Gatzby’s ideal. She is beautiful and charming, but also fickle, shallow, and hypocritical. She is careless person who smashes thing up and then retreats behind her money. She allows Gatsby to take the blame for killing Myrtle ever though she herself was driving the car. Finally, rather than attend Gatsby’s funeral, Daisy and Tom move away, leaving no contact address.

Gatzby knew exactly what kind of person she was. And the very beginning of the novel, he said “Her voice is full of money”. But how can it matter? His puzzle of life would be incomplete without Daisy, and as we know, he was such a paranoiac that never let it happen. It’s impossible for him to restart.

Gatzby’s obsession about Daisy and Daisy’s characteristic determined the trend of plot.

  So, it is destined.

And not only from the plot development we can say Gatzby’s fate was destined, but also from the writer himself. Technically, Gatzby wasn’t a only fictional character, but also the reflection of writer, Fitzgerald himself. He also had a complex relationship of his own. His own experience made him believe that there’s a huge gap between the “natural” rich and the ”new” rich.

In rich boy, his another novel, he showed his attitude directly:

Let me tell you about the very rich. They are different from you and me. They possess and enjoy early, and it does something to them, makes them soft where we are hard, and cynical where we are trustful, in a way that, unless you were born rich, it is very difficult to understand.

They think, deep in their hearts, that they are better than we are because we had to discover the compensations and refuges of life for ourselves. Even when they enter deep into our world or sink below us, they still think that they are better than we are. They are different.

Because of the poverty and adversity they had been through, they always cherish the first glamorous thing dropping in their life. Some of them even take it as the highest goal in life, like Gatzby who considered Daisy as his whole world. When their dream faded out gradually, they might behave like Gatzby, deceive themselves to protect their “little green light” in their heart until their hearts are beaten to pieces by reality.

At last, I want to use the final sentence in The Great Gaztby as the end, which I consider as the most profound ending I have ever read and inspire me a lot. Gatzby’s dream was always behind him, from the moment he met Daisy and fell in love with her. So what he did was just striving hard back into the past against the current of time, like the ending says:

So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.

Summer order. Just finished reading "the Great Gatsby", write down the feeling after reading it. To be honest, I dont really understand the meaning of it. Maybe I dont know enough about the American dream and the jazz age.

But I still felt the infinite sadness revealed in the novel. At the beginning, I was intoxicated with gold. The lively party scene was in sharp contrast with the funeral of Gatsby that no one except the hero was willing to attend. Even Daisy, the only important person in Gatsbys heart, never sent a telegram to send a flower. How sad!

I can only write some miniature of Gatsby and the world I saw. Gatsby is a fool who is loyal to love. He used to be a self disciplined man, but in order to get Daisy, he would not hesitate to walk outside the rules and laws to make himself rich. It seems that Daisy can choose him!

Toms arrogance and even the people who attended the party were still full of insults to Gatsby. Daisy chose a rich and powerful man as the marriage object among many suitors (even if she didnt love him so much). The shock and alienation after hearing Gatsbys moneys coming were the choice of those hateful upper class people for that era -- money and power.

At the end of the story, he was misunderstood and shot in his own yard. No one came to see him off. Even Daisy didnt come. In the end, wealth and love are empty dreams. How disappointing!

Maybe Gatsby, who has dreams in his heart and has been struggling hard, is amazing!

At the end of the novel:

So we continue to strive forward, sailing against the current, being pushed back until we return to the past.

  Good evening, Mr. Gatsby.

Reading "the Great Gatsby" is a chance. I wanted to spend my time reading it in my spare time. However, my fathers advice at the beginning made me have great interest: when you comment on others, you should remember that not all people have such excellent conditions as you. I like watching Gatsby standing at the seaside looking at the green light on Daisys Wharf, watching him "stretch out his arms in a strange way", like that kind of surprise and eagerness; I like the unknown light on Gatsbys mansion all night, following the music and laughter in the wind in the garden, like a dog and a horse, intoxicated. And Gatsbys loneliness and pent up desire behind all this prosperity. I like the feeling of being warm and cold after death. I like watching the car from the other end of the world come to the gate of the mansion, but I didnt find that the wonderful banquet had already ended. I also like the language, metaphor and story telling in the book, as well as the delicate but meticulous structure. Only after repeated reading, can you find that each person in the original book is not only full and independent, but also in the invisible, it is gathered in the net of the plot and becomes a part of the plot.

When I finished the last page of "the Great Gatsby", I inexplicably recalled reading Gogols "Neva Avenue" one autumn night a year ago. When I saw a pure and weak young mans thrill completely shattered by the realitys absurdity in the charming streetlights and noisy crowd of Neva Avenue, I felt an indescribable emotion that left me nowhere As a recluse, piscaloov came to love with his whole life pursuit at a glance, but the charming girl turned into an unreasonable prostitute, so his pursuit of beauty ironically pushed him to the end of his life. Then, I came to a conclusion in that flustered night: to give up saving people, because there wont be too many people who want to constantly expand their dreams under the blue sky, including love, helpless yearning and trying to change others with ideal nature will always turn pale and absurd.

There is a dream, rooted dee* in every American, from the very beginning of theMayFlower, that the great  grandfathers of all Americans had been contemplatingand seeking, and of all Americans that has been written in the second sentence of theUnited States Declaration of Independence which states that "all men are created equal" and that they are "endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable Rights" including "Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness."The American Dream , is a belief that as long as the United States after a hard struggle will be able to achieve the ideal of a better life, that is, people have to work through their own hard work, courage, creativity and determination to move towards Prosperity, rather than rely on specific social classes and other assistance. This is usually on behalf of the people in the economic success or entrepreneurial spirit.

Yet, the dream has already became a nightmare, that in the money-orienting,power-persuing minds springing up since the Industry Revolution,Americans have fallen in,not only the way of life through which Americans rifling for more luxurious enjoyment, but the morality of heart that they persued prosperity with all costs of which they were oblivious.

Luckly,we had people who saw the reality much more clearly than the blind masses, while those were considered Critics of sorts. They pointed out that many versions of the dream equate prosperity with happiness, and that happiness may not always be that simple. These critics suggest that the American Dream may always remain tantalizingly out of reach for some Americans, making it more like a cruel joke than a genuine dream. Fitzgerald was one of them who went the first step that American fiction has taken since Henry James, because he depicted the extolled grandest and most boisterous, reckless and merry-making scene(T.S.Elliot)。

It was five years that Fitzgerald foreseen the latent fatal cancer of Capitalism of American. The Great Gatsby soon came into being,in which first half is comedy, second half is tragidy. In the third--person view,Nike, who learns that his next-door neighbor, who throws lavish parties hosting hundreds of people, is the wealthy, mysterious Jay Gatsby. And the key charactor ,Gatsby, had fallen in love with Daisy in 1917 as an Army Lieutenant stationed near Daisy's hometown, Louisville. After the war, Gatsby came east and bought his mansion near Daisy and Tom, where he hosts parties hoping she will visit.Befor then Gatsby was a man of integrity and honor, who received great respect form the society to his wealth and power. While after his death,he was merely remembered, forgottern in the flew of time and lust. These parties were fashionable, but pointless. It was only a show-off of Gatsby’s riches and material success. The crowds hardly knew their host; many came and went without invitation. The music, the laughter and the faces, all blurred as one confused mass, showed the purposelessness and the loneliness of the party-goers beneath their marks of relaxation and joviality. All this was typical of “the Jazz Age”, when many people lost belief in American dream and indulge themselves in drinking and dancing. The great expectations which the first settlement of the American continent brings vanish, and so despair and doom set in.In his blue gardens, men and girls came and went like moths among the whisperings and the champagne and the stars…On week-ends his Rolls-Royce became an omnibus, bearing parties to and from the city between nine in the morning and long past midnight, while his station wagon scampered like a brisk yellow bug to meet all trains. And on Mondays eight servants, including an extra gardener, toiled all day with mops and scrubbing-brushes and hammers and garden-shears, repairing the ravages of the night before.

“Every Friday five crates of oranges and lemons arrived from a fruiterer in New York----every Monday these same oranges and lemons left his back door in a pyramid of pulpless halves.” (Chapter 3, 52)

The exavagent life, the noisy people constitute Gatsby’s parties. However, the depiction of the fashionable and meaningless parties served to highlight Gatsby’s tragedy by contrasting the grandeur of his party with his violent death, with the frustration of his dream. Gatsby’s funeral was rather deserted and cheerless compared with his parties. It’s a record of human coldness. Nick had invited some people to come to Gatsby’s funeral. These people were all Gatsby’s so-called friends. They found a lot of excuses for their absence because they knew clearly that Gatsby was no longer useful for them. Gatsby’s generous parties had not brought him even one friend. What’s more, Daisy, once Gatsby’s lover, the real killer, “hadn’t sent a message or a flower”。(Chapter 9, 233)The sharp contrast between the exavagence of the parties and the coldness of the funeral revealed the hypocritical relationship among people and the moral degradation of the Jazz Age.

Gatsby, though his wealth came from his criminal activities, was the typical symbol of American dream in that time, and the whole-hearted dedication of Gatsby and his sincere belief in what he did made him heroic, and this submerged the unpleasant details so that they did not seem important in the final outcome,as has the American dreammer who were so stubborn to believe perspirition would bring what they want.

The real killer who murderred Gatsby was the society,in which people could become rich overnight by non-moral means.A poor beautiful girl could marry a wealthy boy who may not be handsome for the purpose of being rich, and a young man could find a job in which he would do nothing but be paid. While Gatsby, the true heir to the American dream, was killed by Conspiracy of his lover Daisy ,who was actually stimulated by the vanity fair, and lived in luxury at the cost of Gatsby, to whom without mercy. The cruel reality smashed Gatsby’s dream. Fitzgerald’s comment on the failure of Gatsby’s dream was also a statement on the failure of American dream. The contrast of the dream and the reality significantly indicated a moving away from faith and hope in a world where material interests had driven out sentimentality and faith. What is more, dream, even if it persists, is utterly helpless and defenseless against a material society. It can only be defeated. Gatsby was an example. Owing to his unrealistic dream, Gatsby’s fate turned out to be a tragedy. Because he was not conscious of his unrealistic dream of love and he did not correctly handle contradictions between ideal and reality, Gatsby sunk into this kind of unreal dream so dee* that he can’t wake up. And the final result of Gatsby was surely miserable.

The Great Gatsby is Fitzgerald’s finest novel. “sensitive and symbolic treatment of themes of contemporary life related with irony and pathos to the legendry of the American dream.” ——【The Oxford Companion to American Literature】

The sharp contrast between dream and reality not only explains Gatsby’s failure at the end, it also explains the meaninglessness of that age. In a word, these contrasts provide the readers with a panorama of 1920s. And in the contrast, the theme of the novel ----the disillusion of the American dream ----is strengthened. In the mean time, the loss of the American dream reflects the corruption of people’s morality.

This is the famous British writer Jane Austen masterpiece "Pride and Prejudice" in the opening section, leads some in the early nineteenth century England and on the value of the classic love story.

As we all know, in Austin, in the novel by Quebec five daughters getting different treatment, shown township middle-class families of marriage for girls who love the different attitudes, which reflected the author I love the idea of marriage: the sake of property, money and the - The marriage is wrong; The marriage did not take into account the above factors also stupid.() Therefore, she opposes the money for the purpose of marriage, also opposes the marriage lightly. She stressed the importance of an ideal marriage, and the feelings of both men and women as the cornerstone of the conclusion of the marriage ideal.

The story of Quebec *e Elizabeth (Keira Terri) was born to a family of small landowners four sisters, Sister Jane Quebec, Quebec sister Mary, Katie Quebec and Laidiya Quebec. Five sisters and a little monotonous quiet life along with the two young guys coming up and it is undeniable-and eliminate the waves. Bin Heli healthy and progressive and rich Darcy (Matthew Mike Deng) is a good friend, became acquainted with the town lure of this home, "five", a beautiful and full of "Pride and Prejudice" love story.

Pride and Prejudice is my favorite novel, which impresses me for a long time. It describes a love story mainly between Elisabeth, who I like the best, and a rich and proud man, Darcy.

The story began with the arrival of a crowd of rich men who rent a house near the Bennet. In a ball, Elisabeth gave such a bad impression on Darcy's first pride that she refused Darcy's first proposal. Darcy was so surprised by Elisabeth's refusal that he loved Elisabeth more dee*. And Elisabeth's antipathy(厌恶,憎恨) made Darcy realize his shortings. He was not angry about Elisabeth's censure, but also he changed his previous proud attitude. During Elisabeth's travel in Darcy's manor(庄园). Darcy was very nice to her uncle and aunt, different from previous proud attitude. When one of Elisabeth's sisters ran away with Wickham, Darcy helped Elisabeth find her sister and prevent her sister from the loss of reputation, with nobody knowing that it was he who helped the Bennet. So many changes in Darcy eliminated(消除) Elisabeth's prejudice. At last it end with their marriage.

Taking the daily life as its material, this story reflected the life and love in a conservative你(保守派) and blocking England town. It reflected the author's view about marriage that it is fault to marry for property, money and status and it is also foolish to take these elements into account. In fact Darcy's pride manifested(证明) the gap (间隙,差距)between their statuses(地位). Since his pride existed, there is no ideal marriage between Elisabeth and Darcy. From the different attitudes from Darcy's two proposals, it reflected the feminine(女性) pursuit of personality independence and right equality, which is a progressive(先进的) character from the image of Elisabeth.

MISS AUSTEN never attempts to describe a scene or a class of society with which she was not herself thoroughly acquainted. The conversations of ladies with ladies, or of ladies and gentlemen together, are given, but no instance occurs of a scene in which men only are present.

The uniform quality of her work is one most remarkable point to be observed in it. Let a volume be opened at any place: there is the same good English, the same refined style, the same simplicity and truth. There is never any deviation into the unnatural or exaggerated; and how worthy of all love and respect is the finely disciplined genius which rejects the forcible but transient modes of stimulating interest which can so easily be employed when desired, and which knows how to trust to the never-failing principles of human nature! This very trust has sometimes been made an objection to Miss Austen, and she has been accused of writing dull stories about ordinary people. But her supposed ordinary people are really not such very ordinary people.

Let anyone who is inclined to criticise on this score endeavor to construct one character from among the ordinary people of his own acquaintance that shall be capable of interesting any reader for ten minutes. It will then be found how great has been the discrimination of Miss Austen in the selection of her characters, and how skillful is her treatment in the management of them. It is true that the events are for the most part those of daily life, and the feelings are those connected with the usual joys and griefs of familiar existence; but these are the very events and feelings upon which the happiness or misery of most of us depends; and the field which embraces them, to the exclusion of the wonderful, the sentimental, and the historical, is surely large enough, as it certainly admits of the most profitable cultivation.

In the end, too, the novel of daily real life is that of which we are least apt to weary: a round of fancy balls would tire the most vigorous admirers of variety in costume, and the return to plain clothes would be hailed with greater delight than their occasional relinquishment ever gives. Miss Austen's personages are always in plain clothes, but no two suits are alike: all are worn with their appropriate differen AS we should expect from such a life, Jane Austen's view of the world is genial, kindly, and, we repeat, free from anything like cynicism. It is that of a clear-sighted and somewhat satirical onlooker, loving what deserves love, and amusing herself with the foibles, the self-deceptions, the affectations of humanity. Refined almost to fastidiousness, she is hard upon vulgarity; not, however, on good-natured vulgarity, such as that of Mrs. Jennings in "Sense and Sensibility," but on vulgarity like that of Miss Steele, in the same novel, combined at once with effrontery and with meanness of soul.

Many people sim* regard Pride and Prejudice as a love story, but in my opinion, this book is an illustration of the society at that time. She perfectly reflected the relation between money and marriage at her time and gave the people in her works vivid characters. The characters have their own personalities. Mrs. Bennet is a woman who makes great efforts to marry off her daughters. Mr. Bingley is a friendly young man, but his friend, Mr. Darcy, is a very proud man who seems to always feel superior. Even the five daughters in Bennet family are very different. Jane is simple, innocent and never speaks evil of others. Elizabeth is a clever girl who always has her own opinion. Mary likes reading classic books. (Actually she is a pedant.) Kitty doesn’t have her own opinion but likes to follow her sister, Lydia. Lydia is a girl who follows exotic things, handsome man, and is somehow a little profligate. When I read the book, I can always find the same personalities in the society now. That is why I think this book is indeed the representative of the society in Britain in the 18th century. The family of gentleman in the countryside is Jane Austen’s favourite topic. But this little topic can reflect big problems. It concludes the stratum situation and economic relationships in Britain in her century. You can find these from the very beginning of this book. The first sentence in this book is impressive. It reads: “It is a truth well known to all the world that an unmarried man in possession of a large fortune must be in need of a wife”. The undertone is very clear: the foundation of the marriage at that time is not emotion but possession. People always think that Austen was an expert at telling love stories. In fact, the marriage in her book is not the result of love, but the result of economic needs. After reading this book, I know the truth is that a poor woman must be in need of a husband, a wealthy man. I couldn’t forget how eager Mrs. Bennet wants to marry off her daughters. If you want to know why she is so crazy about these things, I must mention the situation in Britain at that time. Only the eldest son had the privilege of inheriting his father’s possessions. Younger sons and daughters who are used to luxurious lives have no choice but marry a man or woman in possession of a large fortune to continue their comfortable lives. Thus, we can see that getting married is a way to become wealthier, particularly for women without many possessions. Jane Austen told us that money and possession determined everything, including marriage and love in her century. In “Pride and Prejudice”, the sister of Mr. Bingley strongly opposed his plan of marrying Jane because the Bennets don’t have many possessions and their social positions are much lower than them. From this, we can see there are a lot of obstacles for a not very rich woman to marry a wealthy husband. The society, the relatives would not allow them to get married. In modern society, although the marriages of economic needs have decreased rapidly, the concept of “money determines everything” is still rooted in some people’s mind. A lot of parents try hard to interfere their children’s marriages. Education background, possessions, jobs remains the main reason that may influence one’s marriage. Marry for money is still a big problem in our society. We can’t help thinking: can money determine everything? Austen left this problem for us to think. The genius of Jane Austen lies in this perfect simplicity, the simplicity that reflects big problems. Although Austen was only 21 when she wrote “Pride and Prejudice”, her sharp observation of social lives makes the style of this book surprisingly mature and lively. The plots in her works are always very natural. The development of the plot is as inevitable as a problem in mathematics. I think the depth of Pride and Prejudice is the reason that makes this book prominent and classic. Today, her book still can be the guide telling us the economic relationships both at her time and in modern time.

Then man treat great event in one's life with punishing, Demonstrate different attitudes to the love question of the marriage of young girl of the family origin of middle class of villages and towns, Thus reflected authors oneself's marriage view: It is wrong to get married for the property, money and position; Get married and does not consider that above-mentioned factors are unwise too . So, she objects to getting married for money , objecting to regarding the marriage as a trifling matter . She emphasizes the importance of the ideal marriage , and regard men and women's emotion as the foundation stone which concludes the ideal marriage .

The woman protagonist in the book Elizabeth comes from the little landlord's family, reaches the west to have deep love for for the rich and powerful people sons and younger brothers. Reach the disparity of ignoring family status and wealth of the west, propose to her, but is refused. Elizabeth's misunderstanding and prejudice to him are a reason, but a main one is the arrogance that she dislikes him. Reach the thes of the west in fact status' the reflections of difference, exist this kind arrogant, Not having common thoughts and feelings between he and Elizabeth, the marriage that can not have lofty ideals . Elizabeth watches conducting oneself in society and a series of behavior of reaching the west personally afterwards, See he change the proud conceited expressions of passing by, dispel misunderstanding and prejudice to him, Thus concluded the happy marriage with him.

I'm the curator of "A Christmas Carol" for this book event.

Now, I would like to introduce this book to you. Its main contents are:

Scrooge was a hard - hearted, bitter miser. On Christmas Eve, he refused to be kind and hated happy celebrations. So, the spirit of his late partner Marley comes to visit him and warns him that he will suffer as he did after death, and the silver lining to escape this fate lies in a visit from three ghosts. Sure enough, the elf of Christmas past, the elf of Christmas today, and the elf of Christmas tomorrow have respectively brought Scrooge to witness his past corruption, the happiness of his employee and nephew today, and the lonely death of his despised future. Scrooge is inspired to wake up and become a loving and giving person.

After reading this article, I understand that people should be full of love, charitable, can not be cruel, mean temperament. When the world is filled with love, the world is a better place.

I hope you all read this book.

Chris Dickens wrote a famous short story called "A Christmas Carol". It's so classic that it's on most fans' minds when they talk about Christmas.

It mainly tells us the story of a miser. He cared so much about his money that she wouldn't give him a cent. He hates Christmas because he doesn't want to spend money. He only cares about himself. Then one day, his late best friend, who resembled him in character, advised him to change the way he did things, but he didn't listen. By the way, the mean old man's name was Scrooge.

After reading this article, some people may get lost in the wonderful ending, and some may hate Scrooge for what he did earlier. Maybe other people are scared because they see a miser in themselves. All in all, I think this story is like a wake-up call, which will ring in every reader's mind.

Everyone knows scrooge is rich, but he only has eyes for coins and his life is unhappy. So let's start with the beginning of Tightwad. My question is: what is the purpose of making money in the first place? At first, it may be for living, but when material needs are not an issue, what is that? I think the answer might be happiness.

Is Scrooge happy? Apparently not. Because he is only making money for money -- he is not the master of money, he is the slave of money. And I want to say this: the slave of money has no future.

Because to make our lives count. I don't know what we were born for, I just know it wasn't for money, but I think we shouldn't be free all the time, we need to do something. So, let's find our true love, get out of the trap of money, get out of the mundane world, and make life meaningful.

In the summer vacation, I read a book which is called “The Christmas Carol”. It is written by Charles Dickens, a famous English writer.

The story is about Ebenezer Scrooge, a miser. Scrooge always said about Christmas, “Bah,humbug”. He also didn’t like spending money and giving money away even more. Marley used to be the partners with Scrooge. Unfortunately, he died 7 years ago. One day, Maley’s ghost came to his home and told Scrooge three Christmas ghost would come to his home. Firstly, Ghost of Christmas Past came. He showed Scrooge how he became a miser from a happy boy. Then, Ghost of Christmas Present came. He showed his employee and his nephew’s happy lives. Finally, Ghost of Christmas Future came. He took Scrooge to his grave in his future and showed him his lonely death is the result of his mean and miserly life. In the next morning, Scrooge understood. He changed his living way and became generous. He donated money to the charity organization.

I think it is a good story. It tells us to be generous and help other people more. To be miserly and mean only do harm to other people and ourselves. Helping others is a very good virtue. It makes you feel good, make others feel warm and make others remember you. As so many advantages, why you don’t do this?

A Christmas Carol is one of the most famous works of Charles Dickens, who is a Criticism writer in the 19th century. His works mainly reflect the reality. So I like his works very much.

Charles Dickens was born in 1812, England. He had many difficulties during his childhood. However, these experiences enriched his life, at the same time, supporting many writing materials for his writing. He wrote more than 20 novels in all, reflecting the hate to the money and the sympathy to the common people. His works, such as Great Expectations, a Tale 0f Tw0 Cities, were affected by many readers.

This novel told a people who regard money as important as his own life---Scrooge. Even on Christmas Eve, he was also quite mean to everybody. There are five chapters in all. Chapter 1 introduced scrooge’s character and Marley, his friend’s ghost. The language was very beautiful and active. I like this part best. As followed there was a part of word to describe Scrooge: he was a hard man with money, hard as a stone. He was a secret self-contained man; friendless and alone .the coldness inside him froze his old face. His eyes were red. His thin lips were blue. Cold seemed to stiffen his way of walking. (www.unjs.com)The hair on his head and above his eyes was white, white as snow. He carries this coldness with him always wherever he went. This part illustrated Scrooge was a cold man. He grasped the money tightly. As the following story, Scrooge refused his nephew invitation to have the dinner with his family. And he always scolded the Christmas is humbug. He didn’t believe the existence of Christmas and didn’t want to share his happiness and money with others. He had dinner in an inn and then went home. He had rooms in a house which had once belonged to Marley. Scolded sat quietly on the coach. But suddenly there is a big knocker on the door. It was Marley’s ghost. The ghost was bound by the heavy chain and told Scrooge its tragic fate. The ghost told Scrooge that three spirits will come to Scrooge and then faded away.

From chapter 2 to chapter 4, it talked about the three spirits. The first spirit stood for the past. It showed the happy times in the past of Scrooge. In the past Scrooge always said “Merry Christmas” to whoever he met. He loved life and enjoyed everything in his life. In this part the spirit also showed the first work of Scrooge. His boss, Fezziwig, treated them very well on Christmas. But Scrooge gradually changed. He loved money more than his lover. So his lover parted with him. It’s the money that made Scrooge lost many things. The second stands for the present. in this part , Scrooge is a greedy man . He has no mercy to everything and waste of his time. The third spirit stands for the future. In this part, it showed that Scrooge regret what he had done. And Scrooge was impressed at last. He understood money is not the only thing that is worth to reserve. Love and care were important too.

At the last chapter, that is chapter 5, Scrooge changed himself and gave mercy to the poor. And he had dinner with his nephew.

All in all, this story has a perfect end. Form this story, I realized that in this world, money is not everything. We also need love and help.

The Little Prince is a book which the author write for his friend Leon Werth. So at the beginning the author said,to Leon Werth when he was a little boy,I will dedicate the book to a child from whom this grown-up grew. All grown-ups were once children. This narrates is lonely ,sad childs story. The story of the little prince of life with a serious attitude,he diligentiy to clear the crater, pulling the monkey bread tree seedlings.

He lives on a young star. One day he left the star which he lives, starts to travel. He passed though various stars, afterward,he arrived the Earth. And finally returned to his star.In the traveling, the little prince saw the of all forms person in the society confused:king, which loves the vanity person. The drunkard, for put behind ashamed drinks. The industrialist who only likes calculating the astronomy number typemoney.Thier only common ground in the heart fills the vanity. In the travel, the little prince discovered that, the people are the places which always does not will satisfy oneself lives, they are pursuing happiness with hardship, but actually frequently crudely happily expels from the side.He and the author met each other the desert, they gradually have becoming the best friend. They seek native and move together which we had already lose .

Once when I was six years old, I saw a magnificent picture in a book, called True Stories from Nature, about the primeval forest. It was a picture of a boa constrictor in the act of swallowing an animal. Here is a copy of the drawing.

In the book it said:" Boa constrictors swallow their prey whole, without chewing it. After that they are not able to move, and they sleep through the six months that they need for digestion."

I pondered dee*, then, over the adventures of the jungle. And after some work with a colored pencil I succeeded in making my first drowing,My Drawing Number One. It looked like this:

I showed my masterpiece to the grown-ups, and asked them whether the drawing frightened them.

But they answered:"Frighten? Why should any one be frightened by a hat?"

My drawing was not a picture of a hat. It was a picture of a boa constrictor digesting an elephant. But since the grown-ups were not able to understand it, I made another drawing: I drew the inside of the boa constrictor,so that the grown-ups could see it clearly. They always need to have things explained. My Drawing Number Two looked like this:

The grown-ups response, this time, was to adviseme to lay aside my drawing of boa constrictors, whether from the inside or the outside and devote myself instead to geography, history, arithmetic and grammar. That is why, at the age of six, I gave up what might have been a magnificent career as a painter. I had been disheartened by the failure of my Drawing Number One and my Drawing Number Two. Grown-ups never understand anything by themselves, and it si tiresome for children to be always and forever explaining things to them.

So then I chose another profession, and learned to pilot airplanes.

I have flown a little over all parts of the world:and it is ture that geography has been very useful to me. At a glance I can distinguish China from Arizona. If one gets lost in the night, such knowledge is valuable.

In the course of this life I have had a great many encounters with a great many people who have been concerned with * of consequence. I have lived a great deal among grown-ups. I have seen them intimately, close at hand. And hasnt much improved my opinion of them.

Whenever Imet one of them who seemed to me at all clearsighted, I tried the experiment of showing him my Drowing Number One. which I have always kept. I would try to find out, so, if this was a person of true understanding. But, whoever it was, he ,or she, would always say:

  "That is a hat."

Then I would never talkto that people about boa constrictors, or primeval forest, or stars. I would bring myself down to his level. I would talk to him about bridge, and golf, and politics, and neckties. And the grown-ups would be greatly pleased to have met such a sensible man.

Over the course of this semester,I read a moving book:THE LITTLE PRINCE.It impressed me a lot, especially, the pure but deep emotion(love) between the characters such as the pilot and the little prince, the rose and the little prince, the fox and the little prince. The book remind me of the pure and nice emotion only found in childhood.

The main character our little prince live on a planet named B612 accompany with there volcanoes an a rose who falls in love with him but can not understand each other.Consequencely,he leave his planet and his endless travelling.During this period,he come across a diversity of people. From these people he gets a conclusion that the grown-ups are very odd. Then he enter earth and found thousands of roses alike. The little prince discovers that his rose is not the only ,plenty of her kind are everywhere, but then he realizes that his rose is special because it is she that I have watered; because it is she that I have put under the glass globe; because it is she that I have sheltered behind the screen . Then he fall across the fox.She

teaches the prince It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye

What impresses me the most is the fox’s words.love is a strange stuff.Sometimes we see it but can’t grasp it.Yet, true love may be, to some extent, invisible in surface but may last permanent.Apart from love, others as well.Indeed, sometimes what we consider right turn out to be wrong, what we consider real proves fictitious, what we confused may just turn out to be the truth. The path In searching for truth may long and time-consuming,we should harbour conviction,b will and high hope.No matter what barriade in front of us,we ought to be couragous and face up to the challenge.

One day, when mother saw the little prince, the musical, was about to be put on in the newspaper, she was happy to tell me the news. Mom immediately to what a long queue to buy four tickets, ready to invite my good friends at once with his mother to see the musical.
