这次活动我们大家还是有很大收获的，英语就在我们的日常生活中，用第二种语言进行交流我们会发现更多的乐趣，也丰富的大家的课余时间。另外，我们的活动应该做到分工明确且考虑到各种问题以及小细节等，保证每一个小点都不会出错，并且要有良好的心理素质面对突发事件，比如有选手没来参赛，迟到等等。最重要的一点，不要和其他活动的时间有冲突，起码要保证自己的`活动有一定的观众。

It was my first time to experience the sea and the beach in the sunshine. When sitting on the cruise I could clearly see the ocean waves pushing the windows of the cruise. It seemed that I was surrounded by the waves and the crystal water.
I felt as if a fish which had been living in the sea happily. Then we land on the beach. The sand on the beach was so soft that it was cosy to lie on the beach. I tried searching for the shells on the beach but failed. The beach was totally different from what I heard before as there was nothing except footsteps on the beach. In the afternoon I played football on beach and scored a goal with my new friends from all around China.
It was really interesting and challenging.The next day I went to Haikou. I first visited the tomb of Hairui an officer in Qing dynasty who was famous for rectitude. I think he should be the role model of every person. In the afternoon I went to the geological park of volcano. A lot of stones of different shapes came into views. When arriving the top of the park it seemed that the while city was under my view. Also I had seen plenty of interesting and rare types of the plants.
I also got into a small hole in the park it is said that the hold was exactly the original hole where maqma came from. But the volcano had stopped from erupting for thousands of years.I can’t forget this trip not only does it give me a lot of joy knowledge and good memory but also it give me a chance to make friends with people from different fart in China. We all know that environment is so important to ourselves and our future generations. Natural resources have been depleted in an unprecedented scale. I Am Tripping My Elephant Here
Once upon a time, a weenie ant was walking on his way. As he was walking, suddenly he felt the ground shaking terribly. He looked around with his paranoid eyes and saw an elephant walking right behind him. Quickly, the little ant covered himself with dirt, but one leg was unfortunately left out. A sparrow saw everything, so she flew down with the purpose of teasing the ant: ―Hey, chicken! Watch out your leg, it‘s out!‖ The ant felt embarrassed at first but then calmly responded: ―Shi…I am going to trip that elephant.‖
Right now, I‘m standing on this glamorous stage. But everything here reminds me of is a not so fun memory. Around this time last year I was in Nanjing competing in another speech contest. That was the first time for me to be in such a large event. Of course the pressure I was under was immense too. After a sleepless and stressful night, I went onto that stage without the feeling in my legs. That speech turned out to be horrible. One night, I complained to my mom about the lack of time. Finally she said,＂you are short of time just because you waste precious minutes on complaints and anxiety. Good morning everyone, it's my pleasure to be here and talk about dreams and ambitions with you. When I was a primary school student I wrote in my composition that I want to be a scientist when I grow up. At that age I didn't know what is a scientist, nor did I know what is dream. I wrote it because it's a standard answer for a composition test. And I know if I wrote that I want to be a peasant I would be criticized and laughed at, no matter what reason I gave it. But now in university, one of my classmates changed my idea. At the career planning class when asked about our dreams, one of my classmates stood up and said, " I want to be a peasant because I grow up in a peasant family and I love it." No laughter, no criticism, he was the only who winned a clapping.

My name is Dongqi Yang from china, I am horror to be here today and I amvery happy to receive this award.
As you can imagine, as international students in Australia, the biggestchallenge is English,I remembered that when I come here first time, there is aparty in the house of my home stay. During the time, they played jokes and theylaughed all the time, do you know how embarrassed that is, everyone laughedexcept you. So I pretend to understand the joke in another party, I saw everyonelaugh and I laugh too in 5 seconds later. My home stay was surprised about thatand asked me “do you understand?”，and I answered “no”，“So why do you laugh?””because I do not want to be embarrassed”!
But as I receive this award today, I want to thank to them, because theyencourage me to be involved with the committee rather than staying in at home,play computer and speak Chinese.
When I came to Wantirna College first time, I met liz collar who isinternational student coordinator. She is very kind to me, and she encourage mejoin SRC, I went to SRC meetings regularly all the time, but I didn’t even knowwhat SRC was! That is the reason why I told her, I don’t want to go to SRCanymore. But she said “why not? You should go and you have to go!”I asked” why?”she said:” because I said so!”
But as ii receive this award today, I want to thank her. She helps me alot.
Truth be told, I am not the best student in Wantirna College, but Iappreciate this award and I will try my best in future.
