Someone said “we are reading the first verse of the first chapter of a book, whose pages are infinite”. I don’t know who wrote these words, but I’ve always liked them as a reminder that the future can be anything we want it to be. We are all in the position of the farmers. If we plant a good seed ,we reap a good harvest. If we plant nothing at all, we harvest nothing at all.

We all want the future to be better than the past. But the future can go better itself. Don’t cry because it is over, smile because it happened. I hope my ideal school starts at 8.30 a.m. because l like to get up late. I hope my ideal school finishes at 4.30 p.m. So l can have lots of time to have a rest and do some after-school activities.
My ideal school is very large, it has three tall buildings , a big dining hall, a tennis court, a big playground and a park.
We have an hour for lunch, we can eat delicious food and chat with each other in the big dining hall. We can also listen to pop music here.
We have Math lesson everyday because l like Math very much. I also like English, so we have English everyday. We needn’t wear school uniform. The classes are quite small, there are about 15 students in each class.

In my opinion, the following part is of much more importance than the choice. There is no absolute right or wrong choice but wonderful or boring life, which the process makes the difference.
Life is a box of chocolate,you never know what you will get. Forrest Gump made no decision by and for himself but he accomplished great success with his strong will in the process. The process is not the road itself but the attitudes and feelings ,the caution, courage and persistance we have as we encounter new experience and unexpected obstacles. Take myself as an example, I changed my major when I became a postgraduate. After the choice,days have been harsh for me.I cannot understand the new lessons at all. For they are closely related to mathmatics which I learned nothing about before. However wuth the belief that this is the great chance for me to experience new ideas and challenge myself,I persisted. I asked for help from every channel and reorgonized my life. Gradually I could understand some parts and even found maths interesting.Moreover, I learned to act instead of complaining. I gave this talk at Facebook not so long ago to about 100 employees, and a couple hours later, there was a young woman who works there sitting outside my little desk, and she wanted to talk to me. I said, okay, and she sat down, and we talked. And she said, "I learned something today. I learned that I need to keep my hand up." "What do you mean?"She said, "Youre giving this talk, and you said you would take two more questions. I had my hand up with many other people, and you took two more questions. I put my hand down, and I noticed all the women did the same, and then you took more questions, only from the men." The problem with these stories is that they show what the data shows: women systematically underestimate their own abilities. If you test men and women, and you ask them questions on totally objective criteria like GPAs, men get it wrong slightly high, and women get it wrong slightly low. Women do not negotiate for themselves in the workforce. A study in the last two years of people entering the workforce out of college showed that 57 percent of boys entering, or men, I guess, are negotiating their first salary, and only seven percent of women. And most importantly, men attribute their success to themselves, and women attribute it to other external factors. If you ask men why they did a good job,theyll say, "Im awesome. Obviously. Why are you even asking?" If you ask women why they did a good job, what theyll say is someone helped them, they got lucky, they worked really hard.

The tree was glad to see him happy but the boy never came back since then. The tree was again lonely and sad.
One hot summer day, the boy returned and the tree was delighted. “Come and play with me!” the tree said. “I am sad and getting old. I want to go sailing to relax myself. Can you give me a boat?” “Use my trunk to build your boat. You can sail far away and be happy.” So the boy cut the tree trunk to make a boat. He went sailing and never showed up for a long time. The tree was happy, but it was not true.

This is a story of everyone. The tree is our parent. When we were young, we loved to play with Mom and Dad… When we grown up, we left them, and only came to them when we need something or when we are in trouble. No matter what, parents will always be there and give everything they could to make you happy. You may think that the boy is cruel to the tree but that's how all of us are treating our parents.
Four score and seven years ago, our fathers brought forth on this continent a new nation, conceived in liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal. Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether that nation, or any nation so conceived and so dedicated, can long endure.
We are met on a great battlefield of that war. We have come to dedicate a portion of the field as a final resting-place for those who here gave their lives that the nation might live. A smile has many meanings: pleasure， friendliness， welcome， amusement， and many more; and it is part of a universal body language that doesn’t need any extra interpretation.
Plus a smile， with all its simplcity and beauty， can be a very important factor in many aspects of our lives:
You fall in love with a new country you visit because its people greet you with a welcoming smile everywhere you go; other countries you just don’t like even though they might have more history， nature， entertainment and whatnot because their people don’t seem so friendly or accepting.
You feel like buying from a certain store when the vendor welcomes you in with a smile， sometimes even if you wouldn’t intially have bought anything; and in other stores， even though they have exactly what you need or better， you decide to walk away because the vendor doesn’t look welcoming at all.
You want to give a waiter a good tip when he serves you with a smile， even if the food turns out not that good; on the other hand， sometimes you’ll have some of the best food ever， but you won’t feel like giving the waiter a tip， even if you do， because he was grumpy.
More and more examples from our everyday life show how much a simple smile can change everything.
Forever engraved in my mind will be the smiling faces of the people of Thailand， the friendly pizza delivery boy， the welcoming supermarket vendor， the nice cashier at the bank…etc.
It is these smiles that keep me wanting to go back， and that keep us all wanting to go back; looking at it from another view， if we break it down using business sense， a smile is one of the most effective means to generate sales and develop customer loyalty.
On top of all that， a smile is a very simple and easy thing to do， so it amazes why no one bothers to do it， it not only makes the person in front of you better， but it also makes you feel better as well， and I’m not making this up， it has been psychologically proven.
Personally， I’d like to see more smiling faces in this world; in the airports when I enter a new country， in companies， government agencies， restaurants， hotels， banks， everywhere; and I think it is up to governments to campaign about this， and even make it obligatory in certain important places like airports， hospitals， hotels…etc.

⒈灵活安排教学组织和课堂，以学生为主体，充分调动学生的积极性，开展两人小组、多人小组、成行、成排、半班等多种形式的活动。这是小学英语教学的重要特点之一。只有开展这些活动才能使每一个学生充分地参与课堂实践，才能体现出语言的交际性，才能实现师生之间和学生之间的互动性。课堂上课桌椅的摆放形式根据教学的需要采用不同的方式——秧田式、半圆式、全圆式、双圆式等，目的是为了更好地开展各种教学活动。这样做可以促进师生之间的情感交流，而且可以帮助学生培养起互相关心，合作的团队精神。
⒉采用多种媒体的现代化教学手段，创设良好的语言环境和充分的语言实践机会，优化。利用英语教学音像资源——图画、图表、投影、录音、录像、cd、vcd、dvd等，不仅能为学生提供规范的语音、语调，还可以提供真实自然的语言使用的示范，即语言使用的场合、时间、对象等，而且还有体态语——手势、动作、表情等的示范。多种媒体的运用使教学变得生动、形象、活泼，感染力强，容易激发学生兴趣，引起有意注意，加深印象，帮助学生持久记忆。充分利用现代化教学手段，可以超越时间和空间的限制，使学生置身于以英语为母语的环境中，体验英语的实际运用。的使用可以使教学过程程序化，大大提高教学的效率，这一点对我们课时少的小学英语课尤为重要。
⒊把英语学*从有限的课内时空扩展到无限的课外时空，成立小小英语角、学校布置英语走廊、让学生制作英语画刊等各种形式的活动极大地提高了学生学英语的热情，让学生感受到英语无处不在、无时不学。
三、努力总结和发现问题，及时调整。
在实际教学过程中，教师应积极实践，不断探索，针对实际工作中出现的问题和学生身心特点，总结规律，认真思考，不断摸索。尤其是在中教师应具备良好的应变机制。①学*过程要有趣味性、有意义，要有利于激发学生主动参与的欲望。②善于利用学生的生活体验，通过让学生交流，使他们对所学语言产生亲切感，从而激发学*动机。及时、正确地给予评价激发学生的成就感，从而产生学*的新动力。常常采用师生问答形式，学生感到枯燥、厌烦。教师让学生与长毛绒动物握手交流，学生兴趣倍增。
四、认真进行质量监控、积极推进评价改革
采用人本与发展的模式来理解教育和人类发展的关系，是当前教育理念的核心，即尊重个体和个体差异，实施因材施教，实现全人教育，为个体的终身学*打下基础。因此，在教学中必须实施新的评价理念，提倡形成性评价和终结性评价有机结合。做到评价主体互动化，评价内容多元化，评价过程动态化。评价的基本目标是为了教育并促进学生的表现，要求教师尊重和爱护每个学生的学*积极性，对学生的成绩和点滴进步适时地加以肯定。采用口头表扬和精神奖励的方式，如奖给小红花、红星、纸制奖牌、课文中的人物卡通图片等。特别要注意对学*后进的学生所取得的进步及时给予表扬。要求评价形式具有多样性和可选择性，以形成性评价为主，以学生*时参与各种英语教学活动所表现的兴趣、态度和交流能力为主要依据。采用学生*时教学活动中常见的方式进行，重视学生的态度、参与的积极性、努力的程度、交流的能力以及合作的精神等。通过观察学生的活动（讲故事、说歌谣、唱歌曲、表演对话或短剧等），与学生交流，学生的自评、互评等生动活泼的方式进行。很多学校建立了学生的评价档案。如学生的语音、书写记录，学生参与小组活动的情况记载，学生课余时间的学*拓展情况等统统作为学期总成绩评定的指标参考。由于注重对学生*时学*情况及时地进行评价，有效地提高了学生学英语的积极性。除形成性评价外，小学三年级期末或学年考试以口试和听力考查为主，五、六年级采用口试、听力、笔试相结合的方式。口试主要考查学生实际的语言应用能力；笔试主要考查学生听和读的技能以及初步的写作能力。评价采用等级制或达标方法记成绩，不对学生按成绩排队或以此作为各种评比或选拔的依据。教学评价是为学*服务的，目的在于提高学生学*的效率，成为学生学*的动力和源泉，为学生的终身发展服务。

Life is a box of chocolate,you never know what you will get. Forrest Gump made no decision by and for himself but he accomplished great success with his strong will in the process. The process is not the road itself but the attitudes and feelings ,the caution, courage and persistance we have as we encounter new experience and unexpected obstacles. Take myself as an example, I changed my major when I became a postgraduate. After the choice,days have been harsh for me.I cannot understand the new lessons at all. For they are closely related to mathmatics which I learned nothing about before. However wuth the belief that this is the great chance for me to experience new ideas and challenge myself,I persisted. I asked for help from every channel and reorgonized my life. Gradually I could understand some parts and even found maths interesting.Moreover, I learned to act instead of complaining. In retrospect,the choice left no trace in my mind but the happiness and bitterness of the past four months becomes an unforgetable experience in my life.

Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen.
Today I would like to begin with a story.
There was once a physical therapist(临床医学家) who traveled all the way from America to Africa to do a census(调查) about mountain gorillas(大猩猩). These gorillas are a main attraction to tourists from all over the world; this put them severely under threat of poaching(偷猎) and being put into the zoo. She went there out of curiosity, but what she saw strengthened her determination to devote her whole life to fighting for those beautiful creatures. She witnessed a scene, a scene taking us to a place we never imaged we've ever been, where in the very depth of the African rainforest, surrounded by trees, flowers and butterflies, the mother gorillas cuddled(拥抱) their babies.
Yes, that's a memorable scene in one of my favorite movies, called Gorillas in the Mist, based on a true story of Mrs. Dian Fossey, who spent most of bet lifetime in Rwanda to protect the eco-environment there until the very end of her life.
To me, the movie not only presents an unforgettable scene but also acts as a timeless(永恒的) reminder that we should not develop the tourist industry at the cost of our eco-environment.
Today, we live in a world of prosperity but still threatened by so many new problems. On the one hand, tourism, as one of the most promising industries in the 21st century, provides people with the great opportunity to see everything there is to see and to go any place there is to go. It has become a lifestyle for some people, and has turned out to be the driving force in GDP growth. It has the magic to turn a backward town into a wonderland of prosperity. But on the other hand, many problems can occur---natural scenes aren't natural anymore. Deforestation to heat lodges is devastating Nepal. Oil spills from tourist boats are polluting Antarctica. Tribal people are forsaking their native music and dress to listen to U2 on Walkman and wear Nike and Reeboks.
All these appalling(令人震惊的) facts have brought us to the realization that we can no longer stand by and do nothing, because the very thought of it has been eroding(侵蚀) our resources. Encouragingly, the explosive growth of global travel has put tourism again in the spotlight, which is why the United Nations has made 20xx the year of ecotourism, for the first time to bring to the world's attention the benefits of tourism, but also its capacity to destroy our eco-environment.
Now every year, many local ecoenvironmental protection organizations an: receiving donations--big notes, small notes or even coins--from housewives, plumbers(水管工人), ambulance drivers, salesmen, teachers, children and invalids(残疾人), Some of them can not afford to send the money but they do. These are the ones who drive the cabs, who nurse in hospitals, who are suffering from ecological damage in their neighborhood. Why? Because they care, because they still want their Mother Nature back. Because they know it still belongs to them.
This kind of feeling that I have, ladies and gentlemen, is when it feels like it, smells like it, and looks like it, it's all coming from a scene to remember, a scene to recall and to cherish.
The other night, as l saw the moon linger over the land and before it was sent into the invisible, my mind was filled with songs. I found myself humming softly, not to the music, but to some- thing else, someplace else. a place remembered, a place untouched, a field of grass where no one seem to have been except the deer.
And all those unforgettable scenes strengthened the feeling that it's lime for us to do something, for our own and our coming generation.
Once again, I have come to think of Mrs. Dian Fossey be- cause it's with her spirit, passion, courage and strong sense of our eco-environment that we are taking our next step into the world.
And no matter who we are what we do and where we go, in our mind, there's always a scene to remember, a scene worth our effort to protect it and fight for it. Thank you very much.
