Back in the years when I was only six years old or so, I had my first taste of English. It seemed very strange to me. At the very beginning, I was not so interested in this strange language. Moreover, the English TV program always took time away from my cartoon shows. As a result, I started to hate English.
Time flies. Things completely changed at the end of my primary school life. In the last exam of the whole primary school period, I did so well in English that I got a full mark. I found that I could do a perfect job in English if I put my heart on it. This exam seems to be a turning point on my road of studying English and has really inspired me. Although there are still many challenges waiting for me, these setbacks won’t hurt my confidence and will push me to study harder.
Nothing is impossible for willing hearts and I believe, in the future, I can fly as high as I wish to.

Exercise helps us (to) strengthen our bodies and avoid disease. It also teaches us cooperation, for most exercise is played by team.

We take it for granted that we must warm ourselves in winter times, yet we seldom realize the burning away of precious natural resources. We appreciate all the prosperity from the development of modern industry, yet few would give the slightest consideration to the global air and water pollution caused by industrial wastes. Our ruthless exploitation has permanently impaired our mother earth. As we tragically learned from last summer's floods. we cannot continue our carelessness.
Finally, standing here at the threshold of the 21st century, we cannot help thinking of our posterity. Nature is not only the mother of the present generation, but also the mother of the generations to come. How severely our descendents will criticize us if we leave them a barren and lifeless mother? As is known to all, with the improvement of peoples living standards, cars have become a popular means of transport, bringing great convenience to our life.
However, they have also caused some problems such as air pollution and traffic jams. How can we solve these problems then? As far as Im concerned, riding bicycles is a good solution. For one thing, bicycles dont need any petrol and they are energy-saving. For another, bicycles are environmentally friendly because they wont give off waste gas. Whats more, riding bicycles is a good way for us to exercise and it is good for our health. Therefore, lets take the responsibility to build up a lowcarbon city by riding bicycles.

Many animals are in danger of dying out. As is shown in the chart, we can see the number of animal species decreases faster and faster and this trend will continue. From 1980 to 20, at least 1 million animal species have disappeared.
Worse still, more and more wild animals are in great danger. It is not a piece of sensational news; it is a fact, a harsh reality. Unfortunately, we may not see these animals in the near future.
From the second picture, we can find some reasons. Why is the number of animal species declining year by year? Apparently animals have become victims of fashion industry. Animal skin has been used to make fashionable clothes and these clothes sell at a high price. So some greedy people begin to kill animals in a large quantity.
This irresponsible behavior not only breaks the balance of nature but also endangers the living environment of human beings.
As far as I am concerned, something must be done to stop this illegal action. We believe "no buying, no killing". First, we must make concerning laws to protect these animals in danger. Second, we must take some measures to protect animals effectively. Animals are our friends and part of our environment.
Third, we should raise people's awareness to protect animals and our environment. In this way, we can build a harmonious society and ensure a sustainable development.

My idol is Bruce Lee, who was a fighting movie star, born in Hong Kong. His kong fu was excellent. Once in Florida, he fought 4 thieves with empty hands. Since then, he set out to film and became more and more famous. Let me give you two phenomenons.
Here is the first one. More and more people used to be using air condition，but how many people ever thought whether this new ,hobby will bring side-effects or not? Maybe just few people. In fact, the side-effect is apparent. The emissions of gases ehausted from air conditioning contain a lot of methane h could cause global warming. By the way, air conditioning will waste a lot of electricity .
The second one is about the increasing amount of cars. According to the statistics, in 21st century, there are 7 millions cars in the world, a large amount of ehaust gases has seriously influenced us, such as: cough, throat inflammation.
This two phenomenons are just few part of reason which change our environment badly. There are many other reasons.
In nearly 100 years, the average global temperature eperienced twice fluctuations which is “cold-warm-cold-warm”. Generally, it is the trend that global climate is becoming warmer and warmer . "Yes, I have," I replied. "Forgive me for asking but why is this a forever goodbye?" "I am old and she lives so far away. I have challenges ahead and the reality is -- the next trip back will be for my funeral" she said.
"When you were saying goodbye, I heard you say 'I wish you enough'. May I ask what that means?" She began to smile "That's a wish that has been handed down from other generations. My parents used to say it to everyone".
She paused a moment and looked up as if trying to remember it in detail and she smiled even more. "When we said 'I wish you enough' we were wanting the other person to have a life filled with just enough good things to sustain them".
Then turning toward me she shared the following as if she were reciting it from memory --
I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright. I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun more. I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive. I wish you enough pain so that the smallest joys in life appear much bigger. I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting. I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess. I received a devastating blow to my self'confidence in the first interview of my college years. I applied to be a host in our Student Acting Troupe and felt confident that I would be accepted. But one of the panel members told me: “You seem inadequate and you are a little vertically'challenged.” My life has never been the same since.
