这里有着丰厚的历史文化，色彩斑斓和风格各异的城市建筑。是黔中文化的发祥地，由此留下了许多有地方民族文化的特点。但是*几年来由于人们的环保意识差，从而造成了环境的大量污染。还有人类大量砍伐森林，导致泥石流的发生，大量排放污水和废气以及各种生态环境遭到严重的破坏。
安顺还包括普定县、西秀区、*坝县、紫云苗族布依族自治县、镇宁布依族苗族自治县、关岭布依族苗族自治县。但这些地方的环境都还存在一些问题。
