On so many festivals, my favorite is the Dragon Boat Festival. The word "Dragon Boat Festival" is a remarkable word, its name is a household name, and the legend associated with it is unknown, no one knows.

Finally can eat, I can't wait to strip away leaves, the beautiful, the sticky reed exposed, bite is really see a smooth, three two after eating, I usually eat, who made it so sweet and delicious!

There is a popular folk story behind the sweet dumplings: legend has it that in ancient times, there was a patriotic poet called qu yuan. He has great knowledge and outstanding talent. But the court was despised by the untouchable, and no one appreciated his talent. Not only that, the court was corrupt and incompetent. Qu yuan could not bear the corruption of the court and jumped into the miluo river to himself. His story has been handed down from generation to generation. In order to commemorate him, people made zongzi in the river to prevent the fish from eating qu yuan's body in the river.

Dragon Boat Festival 5th day of the 5th lunar monthQu Yuan.

The Dragon Boat Festival, also called the Duanwu Festival, is celebrated on the fifth day of the fifth month according to the Chinese calendar. For thousands of years, the festival has been marked by eating zong zi (glutinous rice(糯米)wrapped to form a pyramid using bamboo or reed leaves) and racing dragon boats.

The festival is best known for its dragon-boat races, especially in the southern provinces where there are many rivers and lakes. This regatta(赛舟会)commemorates the death of Qu Yuan , an honest minister who is said to have committed * by drowning himself in a river.Qu was a minister of the State of Chu situated in present-day Hunan and Hubei provinces, during the Warring States Period (475-221BC)(战国时期). He was upright, loyal and highly esteemed for his wise counsel that brought peace and prosperity to the state. However, when a dishonest and corrupt prince vilified Qu, he was disgraced and dismissed from office. Realizing that the country was now in the hands of evil and corrupt officials, Qu grabbed a large stone and leapt into the Miluo River on the fifth day of the fifth month. Nearby fishermen rushed over to try and save him but were unable to even recover his body. Thereafter, the state declined and was eventually conquered by the State of Qin.

The people of Chu who mourned the death of Qu threw rice into the river to feed his ghost every year on the fifth day of the fifth month. But one year, the spirit of Qu appeared and told the mourners that a huge reptile(爬行动物)in the river had stolen the rice. The spirit then advised them to wrap the rice in silk and bind it with five different-colored threads before tossing it into the river.During the Duanwu Festival, a glutinous rice pudding called zong zi is eaten to symbolize the rice offerings to Qu. Ingredients such as beans, lotus seeds(莲子), chestnuts(栗子), pork fat and the golden yolk of a salted duck egg are often added to the glutinous rice. The pudding is then wrapped with bamboo leaves, bound with a kind of raffia and boiled in salt water for hours. The dragon-boat races symbolize the many attempts to rescue and recover Qu‘s body. A typical dragon boat ranges from 50-100 feet in length, with a beam of about 5.5 feet, accommodating two paddlers seated side by side.

A wooden dragon head is attached at the bow, and a dragon tail at the stern(船尾). A banner hoisted on a pole is also fastened at the stern and the hull is decorated with red, green and blue scales edged in gold. In the center of the boat is a canopied shrine behind which the drummers, gong(铜锣)beaters and cymbal(铙钹)players are seated to set the pace for the paddlers. There are also men positioned at the bow to set off firecrackers, toss rice into the water and pretend to be looking for Qu. All of the noise and pageantry creates an atmosphere of gaiety and excitement for the participants and spectators alike. The races are held among different clans, villages and organizations, and the winners are awarded medals, banners, jugs of wine and festive meals.

The 5th day of the fifth month of the Chinese lunar calendar is a traditional Chinese Folk Festival - Dragon Boat Festival.

The Dragon Boat Festival has been the custom of the Chinese for more than two thousand years. The origin of the Dragon Boat Festival is most widely known in memory of Qu Yuan. In order to commemorate him, people set the date of his throwing into the river as Dragon Boat Festival.

Speaking of Dragon Boat Festival, the most common custom is to eat rice dumplings. Although there are many varieties of dumplings in the shop, I still like zongzi wrapped in my home. In the first two days of the Dragon Boat Festival, mother will buy the reed leaves of the zongzi and cook it with clean water, and then prepare the raw materials for the dumplings, such as glutinous rice, meat, bean sand, red dates and so on. Next and grandma wrapped dumplings together, every time grandma will choose two or three leaves, left hand pinch the leaves of one head, the right hand with three fingers pinch the other head of the leaf gently into a roll, roll into a cone shape, after the roll is ready to put ready raw materials, and finally the cotton zongzi is bound stout, a The four corners of the dumplings are born.

On this day, people will Artemisia argyi and dragon boat racing. The Dragon Boat Festival is a holiday full of magic, joy and excitement.

Today is the Dragon Boat Festival, is Chinas traditional festival.

Mother got up early this morning, and she went to the vegetable market, buy back some of the leaves, meat, jujube and glutinous rice. Mother got home, the first leaves with boiled water, then put jujube, meat, and glutinous rice in a pot, put some soy sauce into the pot, and then mix them together, filling was ready, the preparatory work done, mom began to make zongzi. See mother took picked up a few pieces of leaves, into a similar to the shape of a cone, then put some stuffing in it, and then with a piece of leaf wrapped up, with a line up finally, in this way, a rice dumplings wrapped.

The Dragon Boat Festival is coming, and zongzi has entered every household with the advent of the Dragon Boat Festival. Zongzi is delicious, especially the pure taste. I like it very much, but my mother can't wrap it. In previous years, I bought fewer to taste fresh, but that's not enough to solve my greed. This year, my mother saw that I was like a greedy insect, so she suggested that we try to wrap it ourselves. And it was much cheaper than buying, so the suggestion was immediately adopted. My mother bought the materials a few days ago.

This afternoon, we are ready to start work, but after all, it is the first time to pack. We are still in a panic. We first observe the zongzi we bought, and then start the construction. First, we arrange the zongzi leaves one by one, and make it overlap a little, so as to ensure that there will be no rice leakage, Then fold the arranged leaves to make the bottom look like a cone to hold the rice, but there must be no gap, otherwise the rice will be exposed. Next, put the rice in and wrap it up. Although it is not difficult to put the rice, it is not so easy to wrap the rice. The originally placed leaves will disperse after changing hands, and a big hole will leak out at the bottom, So we two dealt with a zongzi together. My mother took it, and I slowly wrapped the rice with leaves. Maybe it was because I was too happy. My mother and I accidentally "clattered" and looked down. The rice was scattered all over the ground... Finally, the first zongzi was born "safely" with the efforts of my mother and I, It was found that the layman's mother forgot to buy the leaves of zongzi and had to replace them with thin lines. Alas, it's really difficult to eat Zongzi! We packed a small basin in a full afternoon.

The last and easier one is to cook... Soon the delicious, sticky and steaming zongzi came out of the pot

Tasting the zongzi made by yourself is different. It's much more delicious than what you buy!

The Dragon Boat Festival is my favorite festival of the year.

Every Dragon Boat Festival, I always get up early in the morning to feel the most fragrant morning of the year. The morning air is particularly fresh. The streets are full of farmers selling herbs, wheelbarrows and bearers... They bring many herbs still stained with dew: wormwood, Acorus calamus, perilla, mint, rushes and wheel leaves... They also bring some fragrant flowers: Gardenia, pomegranate, rose and rose... The fragrance of these flowers and plants is everywhere in the streets, Hanging around, not only smell, but almost all senses are excited, which makes people feel better.

Spend less than one yuan, buy some handfuls of herbs, put them on the door and put them on the windowsill. Buy a few more fragrant flowers and keep them in a vase. All of a sudden, the room is full of fragrance and refreshing. Every family is like this. When you walk in the yard and corridor, it's full of strong wormwood and calamus smell, which makes people not smell enough

Stalls selling sachets in the streets often attract people to stop. Each sachet is exquisitely sewn and has a strange shape. You buy a little mouse, he buys a little rabbit, hangs it on the child, and gives the child many beautiful thoughts. Every family has a fragrance of zongzi. Large and small zongzi and various flavors of zongzi come out of the pot one by one. The smell is really attractive. Peel one covered with honey, full of sweetness in the mouth and heart.

Put realgar wine on your nose, ears and forehead. Because of its special significance, the wine made of Realgar and garlic is no longer annoying in this festival. It seems to have become a mellow wine. Everything is beautiful because of this festival. This is a fragrant Festival. It is not only the fragrance flowing in the air, but also seems to be "fragrant" with people and all kinds of things.

This is the festival brought to us by the great poet Qu Yuan. This is the festival brought to us by Qu Yuan, who drank morning dew, praised vanilla and was clean and honest. This is a festival that rejects evil and poisons and advocates nobility. This is a fragrant Festival!

I saw the boisterous people on the shore throwing dumplings and eggs into the river. I asked, "Dad, what are they doing, why do you throw the good dumplings into the water?" Dad said, "dragon boat racing originated from ancient Chu people, because people could not afford to be a virtuous minister. Qu Yuan died in the river. Many people sailed to catch up.
